Why Airbnb banned me (and my hubby, too!)

So here is the grim reality of life in Woke America 2022. In November, I spoke at a peaceful conference held by an organization that is deemed a "hate group" by the Southern Poverty Law Center and Anti-Defamation League. The title of my talk was "Race, Immigration, and Con. Inc: How I Came to See the Light." It was a wide-ranging discussion of my three decades of reporting on the nation's demographic and cultural deterioration – which I've chronicled firsthand on college campuses, at our borders and in every crime-ridden, riot-prone and mass migration-transformed metropolis, from Los Angeles to Seattle and Portland, to Baltimore, Washington, D.C., New York and Denver.

As I've done throughout my career, I lambasted both Swamp Democrats and establishment Republicans for selling us out. The speech delved into the K-20 metastasis of anti-white curriculum, the corporate media's whitewashing of black-on-Asian attacks and the long campaign to censor nationalist dissidents who put America first.

A week after my talk, San Francisco-based Airbnb notified me that I was banned from using its services ever again and imperiously deleted my account. Poof!

"My name's Cedar, and I'm with Airbnb's Trust team," the Nov. 24, 2021, email began. "It has come to our attention that you were a keynote speaker for the 2021 American Renaissance Conference earlier this month in Tennessee. Airbnb's community policies prohibit people who are members of or actively associate with known hate groups. Due to your promotion and participation in a known white nationalist and white supremacist conference, we have determined that we will remove your account from Airbnb. This is consistent with action we've taken to ban people associated with this conference in past years."

Airbnb's ideological witch hunts have claimed an unknown number of victims since 2016 as part of a woke company initiative to root out "bias" and expel anyone deemed an "extremist" with a "dangerous organization affiliation." Press coverage of previous purges strongly suggests that the aforementioned character assassins of the Southern Poverty Law Center are involved through use of their far left, anti-white, anti-right "Hatewatch" list. Ever since I wrote my first book, "Invasion," in 2002, the Southern Poverty Law Center and Anti-Defamation League goons have sought to stifle my voice.

But this latest salvo crosses the line. It's not enough that I – a "woman of color" (the left's own descriptive label, not mine) and mother of two multiracial children – was pronounced guilty of "hate" crimes and "promotion" of "white supremacist" ideas for delivering a speech whose full content Airbnb didn't even bother to obtain from me. The Airbnb bullies also banned my equally nonviolent, nonhateful husband – who did not attend the conference and who is not a public figure or activist.

"As we can see that your Airbnb travels are typically reserved via your husband's account," Airbnb's "Trust team" member "Cedar" told both my husband and me, "We will also proceed in removing his account." Neither of us had ever had a negative review, complaint or policy violation of any kind. Are my kids next? Are yours? (Surprise: No response from Airbnb to my media inquiries on how many other family members of banned conservative and nationalist Airbnb customers have been swept into their thought police dragnet.)

"Cedar" closed his/her email by informing me that the only way to appeal Airbnb's decision is "(i)f our understanding that you participated in the 2021 American Renaissance Conference is incorrect."

Take note: You're damned right I spoke peacefully and lawfully to the peaceful and lawful 2021 American Renaissance Conference and was honored to receive a warm welcome.

I resoundingly reject the notion that condemning Black Lives Matter and antifa terrorists constitutes "hate." I defy the Airbnb thought police who consider my husband and me "untrustworthy" and "dangerous" threats to community safety on par with convicted felons and sex traffickers. God willing, and with my readers' and viewers' help, I will fight these speech-stifling bigots who think they can get away with retaliating against me and my family for my journalism and activism.

I've received feedback from astute lawyers who note that public accommodation businesses in California, where Airbnb is based, are subject to the Unruh Civil Rights Act – which forbids the very kind of anti-free-speech, anti-free-association and anti-equal housing discrimination Airbnb has visited upon me and my family. Much more is at stake, of course, and there are other sound legal grounds for seeking relief.

As American Renaissance founder Jared Taylor told me this week: "Once again, in what used to be known as the 'land of the free and the home of the brave,' Big Tech is punishing people for what they say. After it gets finished with vaccine freethinkers, election skeptics and people who think all lives matter, who's going to be left? Democrat toadies?"

America First Foundation president and America First Political Action Conference founder Nick Fuentes, targeted by the feds, investigated by Dems and deplatformed by a multitude of woke businesses for his peaceful political advocacy, added: "Every day the list of digital services engaged in discrimination against Patriotic Americans grows longer. Deplatforming on Airbnb marks a chilling escalation in tactics used by Big Tech to silence American conservatives."

The Unvaccinated in Quebec Must be Accompanied by Staff While Shopping

In another degrading blow to humanity, the government of Quebec is prohibiting unvaccinated shoppers from entering big box stores that do not include groceries or pharmacies. If a person’s vaccine passport does not meet the requirement, they must be “accompanied at all times during his or her travels by an employee of the business, the pharmacy or any other person mandated by them for this purpose,” reported by the CBC. “This person may not purchase products other than those related to the pharmaceutical service they are receiving.”

This means an employee will be forced to act like a babysitter and walk around the store with the customer to ensure they do not purchase something deemed non-essential, such as a shirt or toaster. There are growing calls online to boycott big box stores that are implementing the law, such as Walmart. “Hi. As directed by the Government of Quebec, we will implement the vaccine passport at our stores in Quebec. We ask for our customer’s patience and understanding as we continue to ensure a safe and efficient customer experience,” Walmart Canada tweeted.

This is clear discrimination. As a reminder, even if you are vaccinated, you are ONE shot away from being deemed too dangerous to enter Canadian society. So the vaccinated, who can transmit the virus as well, are free to live their lives while everyone else is shunned.

The Hershey Co. enacted a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for employees and now the company is firing employees who have not complied.

A representative of the iconic Pennsylvania-based chocolate manufacturer said employees who have not been vaccinated are being “separated from the company,” WHTM-TV in Harrisburg reported Wednesday.

Hershey announced its vaccine mandate for salary employees in August, and it went into effect on Oct. 4.

"Hershey is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and our customers," the company said in a statement. "We believe that the best way to protect the health and safety of our employees, their families and our various business partners is to ensure that our salaried employees are vaccinated against COVID-19. This is to reduce the spread of the virus and the potential for serious disease or death."

Not only is Hershey firing employees who did not comply, but it is also asking the employees on the way out the door to sign a nine-page confidentiality and release agreement that would remove their rights to sue the company and to talk about their experience there, The Epoch Times reported on Monday.

Signing the agreement would give the fired employees "special separation payment," the report said. Many have declined to sign the agreement and so won't get that money.

The Epoch Times reported that employees said the payment for the agreement was determined by an algorithm, and for some workers, it was as much as two months' pay.

Most employees said that it was a great experience working for Hershey and that they were treated well.

"But it stopped being fun after months of human resources department meetings that employees say included education about the vaccines, asking if the employee had changed their mind about getting the shots, as well as uncomfortably invasive questions," the Epoch Times reported.

One employee, Kim Durham, shared her thoughts.

“I really thought I’d be OK. I thought, you cannot question my faith. Nobody can question that,” she told the Epoch Times.

“I thought this was behind me until September, when I met with an HR representative. It was an interrogation on your religious beliefs. They twisted your words and tried to put words in your mouth. It was terrible," Durham said.

Another employee said that it felt like harassment from the company.

“What does that have to do with me keeping a job? From the time we started this ordeal, we have had seven meetings about my vaccination status. It was like harassment. I felt like I wanted to crawl under a rock when I was done," the person said.

This reported harassment came in spite of Hershey's official statement that it would work to accommodate employees.

"To support this, the company sponsored multiple vaccination clinics and allowed employees to seek accommodations for religious or medical reasons. The company has engaged in an interactive process with our employees to evaluate when an accommodation with regard to vaccination status is needed or warranted," the Hershey representative said, according to WHTM.

But then the company fired those who were unvaccinated and tried to entice them to not sue the company or talk about what happened.

This is corporate bullying, straight and plain.

If employees did not want to be vaccinated, Hershey tried to force their hand in a personal, private medical decision in which a company should have no say.

“I know people who got the vaccine just to keep their job. It wasn’t something they wanted to do, but they needed the job,” Durham said.

“I need a job too," she said. "But I’m not going to do something I don’t feel comfortable doing, just keeping my job.”

Hershey, however, is not the only company firing unvaccinated employees.

Columbia Sportswear, Citigroup, JP Morgan, Mayo Clinic are among those that have mandated vaccines, fired unvaccinated employees or were considering doing one or both, Newsweek reported last month.

Fortunately, many fired employees from Hershey reportedly did not sign the confidentiality and release agreement.

Perhaps they will file lawsuits against the company for harassment and show the nation how inappropriate it is to threaten and bully employees over the vaccine.

Facebook bans page organizing U.S. trucker convoy to D.C.

(THE BLAZE) -- A popular Facebook group for U.S. truckers planning to protest against vaccine mandates was taken down by the social media platform early Wednesday, leading to accusations of "censorship."

The group, "Convoy to DC 2022" had gained upwards of 137,000 members before it was removed. It was set up to organize a protest similar to the "Freedom Convoy" of thousands of truckers that traveled from Vancouver to Ottawa last week in protest of Canada's vaccine requirements.

Jeremy Johnson, the group's administrator and one of the U.S. protest organizers, told Fox News Wednesday that Facebook's action was "censorship at its finest."

I have written and spoken out about vaccine mandates for children and why they are wrong. Children are rarely at risk of severe disease from COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 and almost all deaths of children have been those with co-morbidities. The vaccines have a high adverse event profile in children that has not been fully analyzed. This is reason enough to not allow mandates, even State government or regional school board mandates. But I have not written as much about masks, school closures, and the selfishness of teacher’s unions, who are more interested in protecting themselves than children.

Children are at very little risk from COVID-19 severe disease. Most kids in the USA now have natural immunity, many have been vaccinated, and Omicron is nothing more than a cold for the vast majority of children and adults. Even during Delta, children rarely develop severe COVID-19 disease. They have strong, healthy immune systems. This disease is stratified by age and co-morbidities. We all know this by now. Furthermore, neither masks nor vaccines prevent infection, replication or transmission of the Omicron strain of SARS-CoV-2.

There is no reason to mask children in schools. There is no reason to mask children in shops, restaurants, parks, after school program, etc. There is no reason for children to have plexiglass shields around them in the class room. There is no reason why we need to deny children exercise programs, sports, after school care and physical education. It is time to end social distancing programs and let kids be kids. Children are social beings. Having normal social interactions with other people, with other children is critical to growing up in a health environment. Social isolation of children is not ok. Sports, after school program, childcare, recreational activities and extracurricular activities need to return to normalcy.
