An Egregious Statistical Horror Story

With the latest reports of plummeting death rates from all causes, this crisis is over. The pandemic of doom erupted as a panic of pols and is now a comedy of Mash-minded med admins and stooges, covering their ifs, ands, and butts with ever more morbid and distorted statistics.

We've seen it before: Fake hysteria, name-calling, manipulation

ORIGINAL LINK

CNN-logo-brand-cable-news-network-TV-med

As the Great Coronavirus Panic of 2020 moves through the daily stages of action and reaction, it may seem more familiar all the time. As if you have experienced this before.

You have.

In October 2016, Barack Obama ridiculed candidate Donald Trump for even suggesting a presidential election could be tampered with. Obama attacked Trump by citing anonymous experts, who he claimed all agree that the election cannot be rigged or manipulated. Within six weeks, Democrats and major media hysterically claimed the exact opposite: That President Trump colluded with Russia to tamper with the election, causing Hillary Clinton to lose.

In the 1970s, we were all warned by liberal alarmists that experts said a "new ice age" was imminent and the planet would soon be devastated by falling temperatures unless we gave massive power to the government to control populations. By the late 1980s, leftists completely changed their panicked predictions, again citing experts to warn of soaring global temperatures and a hole in the ozone that would bake the earth, devastate crops and lead to mass starvation.

In January 2020, as some began expressing concerns of reports leaking out of China about a flu-like epidemic, major media and health experts assured Americans there was little to worry about. Not only was seasonal flu said to be more of a concern, the World Health Organization reassured everyone that, whatever was happening in China, the virus was not contagious. Within weeks Americans were told the exact opposite, and it was claimed to be so serious that Americans needed to be locked in their homes and businesses shut down on threat of arrest.

As the Russian collusion narrative dragged on and began unraveling, Democrats and major media intensified their attacks and floated increasingly outrageous claims based on anonymous sources asserting treachery by Donald Trump. Liberals ridiculed anyone pointing out inconsistencies by accusing them of promoting conspiracy theories for not completely believing anything said by anonymous people in government agencies. Career bureaucrats in the intelligence community were paraded before assembled media to talk about intelligence reports from unknown people. The media assured Americans these men were wholesome professionals, above partisan politics and that their claims should never be questioned or scrutinized.

As global warming experts' climate model predictions of catastrophic destruction all proved wrong, liberals have shrugged off their failed prophecies and pushed ahead with new predictions. Questions regarding the experts' motivations or mention of their unending string of incorrect forecasts of doom is not allowed, because to question the experts is portrayed as being unscientific.

With the coronavirus, previously unknown lifelong bureaucrats from assorted health agencies, citing computer models prepared by unknown experts, predicted millions of Americans were about to die in a major pandemic. We were told hospitals would be overwhelmed, refrigerated trucks were needed to handle stacked bodies, and surgeries, treatments and all kinds of medical procedures for millions of Americans needed to be canceled to free up hospital space. As the shocking predictions of death on a catastrophic scale failed to materialize, the media have circled the wagons to defend the medical experts' new predictions by pronouncing them above inquiry and any questioning of their predictions or motives to be an attack on science and modern medicine.

In the Russian collusion hoax, it turned out the experts were not impartial. James Comey, John Brennan and their Trump-hating underlings pretended to be purely professional until their emails, text messages and other communications revealed them to be partisan political operatives working to undermine the Trump administration and help Democrats.

Email leaks and WikiLeaks email dumps from climate alarmists showed an agenda to manipulate numbers to achieve desired results to continue the push supporting socialist solutions and increasing government restrictions and control over the populations of Western nations – solutions and policies promoted by the political left.

In our coronavirus distress, Americans largely pulled together and agreed to unprecedented restrictions on their business and personal lives. The result so far is trillions of dollars in economic damage, loss of personal liberties and the postponement or cancellation of graduations, weddings, home purchases, vacations and other significant life events. As Americans waited for the promised apocalypse, most noticed the hospitals nowhere near capacity and health care workers actually being furloughed in many places due to lack of patients. We were originally told the economy needed to be shut down and people confined to our homes because hospitals would be over capacity, but now liberal politicians and their experts have shifted the goalposts to claim we need to continue the economic destruction and loss of freedom until nobody can get sick anymore.

Americans are noticing a common denominator emerging among the coronavirus issue and other liberal agendas. There is an "emergency" claimed by the left, supported by experts we are not permitted to scrutinize or question, and a demand for dramatic action in spite of obviously wrong predictions. As their basis for demanding draconian action (overthrowing a president; adopting massive, open-ended government controls to save the planet; shutting down the economy and restricting freedom) falls apart, the left changes tactics and levels personal attacks at dissenters. Those questioning intelligence experts are branded as unpatriotic; questioning global warming experts is ridiculed as climate denial; and expressing concern about health experts' models gets one labeled as backwards and unscientific.

In Democrats' attacks on the president, the left enlisted social media platforms to suppress dissent by labeling critical stories as fake news, shadow-banning or outright banning users and "fact-checking" dissenting views as false. The left has similarly pressed tech companies to characterize online disagreement with the global warming agenda as misinformation. Now that Americans are beginning to protest continued societal shutdowns, Facebook has agreed to ban online protest organizing on its platform as "coronavirus misinformation."

Just as with the other issues, there is an unmistakable pattern to the coronavirus hysteria: dishonesty, shrill demands for drastic action at the insistence of liberals and the demonizing of dissent.

We are being manipulated once again to advance a partisan political agenda.

A Vital Paper: David Crowe challenges the discovery of the COVID-19 virus

(To join our email list, click here.)

Canadian author and independent researcher, David Crowe, has spent several decades analyzing and torpedoing SPECIFICS of conventional medical research. At the deepest level.

I’m talking about, for example, the mainstream claims of discovering new viruses.

Crowe doesn’t lay on vague brushstrokes. He goes to the core of fabrications and exposes them, chapter and verse.

His new paper, which he continues to update and expand, is: “Flaws in Coronavirus Pandemic Theory”.

Here I quote from the section of his paper where he takes up the question of discovery—have researchers actually found a new virus which they assert is the cause of a new pandemic, COVID-19?

At the end of this article, I list the published papers Crowe refers to by number, as he takes apart the very basis of the COVID illusion.

David Crowe: “Scientists are detecting novel RNA in multiple patients with pneumonia-like conditions, and are assuming that the detection of RNA (which is believed to be wrapped in proteins to form an RNA virus, as coronaviruses are believed to be) is equivalent to isolation of the virus. It is not, and one of the groups of scientists was honest enough to admit this”:

“’we did not perform tests for detecting infectious virus in blood’” [2]

“But, despite this admission, earlier in the paper they repeatedly referred to the 41 cases (out of 59 similar cases) that tested positive for this RNA as, ‘41 patients…confirmed to be infected with 2019-nCoV’.”

“Another paper quietly admitted that”:

“’our study does not fulfill Koch’s postulates’” [1]

“Koch’s postulates, first stated by the great German bacteriologist Robert Koch in the late 1800s, can simply be stated as”:

“* Purify the pathogen (e.g. virus) from many cases with a particular illness.
* Expose susceptible animals (obviously not humans) to the pathogen.
* Verify that the same illness is produced.
* Some add that you should also re-purify the pathogen, just to be sure that it really is creating the illness.”

“Famous virologist Thomas Rivers stated in a 1936 speech, ‘It is obvious that Koch’s postulates have not been satisfied in viral diseases’. That was a long time ago, but the same problem still continues. None of the papers referenced in this article have even attempted to purify the virus. And the word ‘isolation’ has been so debased by virologists it means nothing (e.g. adding impure materials to a cell culture and seeing cell death is ‘isolation’).”

“Reference [1] did publish electron [microscope] micrographs, but it can clearly be seen in the lesser magnified photo, that the particles believed to be coronavirus are not purified as the quantity of material that is cellular is much greater. The paper notes that the photos are from ‘human airway epithelial cells’. Also consider that the photo included in the article will certainly be the ‘best’ photo, i.e. the one with the greatest number of particles. Lab technicians may be encouraged to spend hours to look around to find the most photogenic image, the one that most looks like pure virus.”

“There is no way to tell that the RNA being used in the new coronavirus PCR test is found in those particles seen under the electron micrograph. There is no connection between the test, and the particles, and no proof that the particles are viral.”

“A similar situation was revealed in March 1997 concerning HIV, when two papers published in the same issue of the journal ‘Virology’ revealed that the vast majority of what had previously been called ‘pure HIV’ was impurities that were clearly not HIV, and the mixture also included microvesicles that look very similar to HIV under an electron microscope, but are of cellular origin.” [5][6]

—end of Crowe article excerpt—

In a half-sane world, David Crowe’s analysis would provoke an open honest discussion and debate among all sorts of scientists and researchers, and the repressed truth would tumble out and be confirmed.

Of course, we do not live in that world.

Instead, we have mistake-prone researchers and outright liars welcomed into the hallowed pages of medical journals. They are enabled by editors who look the other way.

The consequences, of course, aren’t merely academic.

A planet can be placed on lockdown.

Do I really need to say this at this late date—without the discovery of an actual disease-causing virus, the whole “pandemic” falls apart. The whole “spreading virus” assertion falls apart.

COVID-19 fraud: Researcher Jim West rides again

ORIGINAL LINK

by Jon Rappoport

April 23, 2020

(To join our email list, click here.)

I became aware of Jim West’s work back in the day of the West Nile fake epidemic. Jim was documenting the destructive effects of air pollution in the areas where the virus was said to be causing harm.

He’s doing it again, now, in the case of COVID. His latest blog post is titled “COVID Pandemic 2020: Environment Omitted”.

Here are two key Jim West quotes:

“Air pollution correlates with COVID-19 epicenters. The only pollutant that could have a worldwide timeline correlation with these coinciding epidemics would be fracking fuel, its global implementation timing and toxicity dependent upon its formulation. Apparently new toxics were added to fracked fuel directly or by relaxing the rules for cleaning fracked ‘natural’ gas. Fracked fuel exhaust, toxic earth gas vapors, and epidemic locations correlate with the record-high measles epidemics of 2019 and the present COVID-19 epidemics.”

“New Orleans has the highest [so-called “COVID”] death incidence in the US, at 38, and is adjacent the largest petrochemical industrial region of the US. New York City is next, with a death incidence of 32, and is adjacent the second largest petrochemical region in the US.”

Jim emphasizes that his research on air pollution and “COVID” is ongoing, and he’ll be expanding and adjusting that work as he discovers new information.

Since 1987, I’ve been writing about the use of THE VIRUS as a successful cover story, launched to obscure corporate and government crimes that harm health and kill large numbers of people.

Public awareness of covert ops and cover stories is widening—particular in light of the blizzard of lies surrounding the “pandemic.”

The CDC, through its Epidemic Intelligence Service, and the World Health Organization, routinely send their virus hunters out into the field to explain away environmental crimes with highly arcane gibberish about germs. These organizations front for pharma, other types of major corporations, and governments—all intent on concealing their crimes against populations.

This time, with COVID, the op goes much farther. Its aim is the creation of a new civilization, ruled by technocrats, who are using the false propaganda notion of a “spreading virus” to insist on global governance; only then, they say, can we coordinate epidemic responses early enough to head off worldwide disasters.

“We’re all in this together.”

Translation: If you buy fake love and fake share and care—as opposed to the real thing—you’re in the mind control bubble where following all official orders turns you into a sincere pod person—to be controlled and sacrificed on the altar of a New World Order.

Yes, Virginia, the NWO is real. It’s a cheery marshmallow with a poisoned core.

Here is an illustration of a prime-cut A-number-one cover story, from 2003—SARS, the great epidemic that, according to the World Health Organization, was gripping planet Earth. In the end, WHO listed the death total as: 800. On a planet of 6.3 billion people.

Where did SARS begin? Where was it first found? Guangdong, China. In their excellent book, Virus Mania, Torsten Engelbrecht and Claus Kohnlein explore non-virus causes of flu-like illness in that locale. They found causes. It turns out this area is one of the world’s largest re-cyclers of e-waste:

“Guangdong is China’s largest industrial area…extremely polluted. Garbage lies everywhere; above all high-tech waste…For $1.50 a day, locals disassemble computers, monitors and printers with their bare hands, endangering both their own health and the environment… There, workers empty toner cartridges from laser printers the whole day long without protective masks, breathing in fine carbon dust. Others, mostly women and girls, dip circuit boards into baths of liquid lead to separate and collect the soldering materials with which the memory chips and processors are attached to the plates. Unprotected, they are exposed to toxic fumes. While the plastic plates are simply burned up, the chips and processors are put in acid baths, to extract their gold. Here as well, poisonous fumes are generated, and the unusable leftover acids are just dumped into the river. A lot of garbage is simply burned up or dumped onto rice fields, irrigation facilities or into waterways. The bodies of water and groundwater around Guiys have become so contaminated that drinking water has to be brought in daily from other cities…”

A real cause of real illness. No need for a virus. Except…as a cover story.

Doug Casey Explains the Real Reasons the US Arrived at the Greater Depression

ORIGINAL LINK

Guest Post by Doug Casey

US Greater Depression

Let’s talk about what conditions will be like and about how you can get through the Greater Depression confidently, comfortably, and profitably. It’s not going to be easy or fun, but it’s possible.

I am of the opinion that what’s happening now isn’t just another cyclical downturn that can be papered over by printing up some more money—although that’s exactly what the U.S. and other governments are doing, and in unprecedented amounts. In fact, what the world’s governments are doing is not only wrong but also the opposite of what they should be doing.

Barring the start of another world war—which is not unlikely—the physical world probably won’t be changed much by the Greater Depression, but the way people relate to the world will change a great deal. And not because of the virus, which is about 90% hysteria; it’s just the pin that broke the bubble.

For roughly a whole generation, the U.S. government’s inflation of its currency has been inviting the whole country to live beyond its means. Living beyond your means is what consumer debt is all about.

Mortgage debt is where it all started, and it allowed people to live in houses much bigger than they could afford. In the Greater Depression that is now upon us, many people won’t be able to pay their mortgages. In fact, they won’t even be able to pay their utilities and taxes; maintenance will be deferred indefinitely. But that’s just the tip of a very big iceberg.

Detroit is illustrative. The city is toast, no matter how many billions the government throws at it.

During the serious downturn between 1980 and 1982, the average car on the road was seven years old, and they were all crappy cars. Today, the American fleet of cars is not only close to brand new, but today’s cars last almost forever. They’re not going to need to be replaced for a long time, and that means that auto sales are going to be in the tank for a long time. Also, in the same way that many can’t afford to pay their mortgages, many will be learning that they can’t afford to own a car.

Many vehicles are going to be abandoned in the lender’s parking lot.

As late as the ‘60s, most people paid cash for a car. Even in the ‘70s, a loan was usually for no more than two years. Now, the standard auto loan is for five to seven years. And many cars are leased, out of necessity.

The average family may now have several expensive new cars in the driveway but typically with negative equity in every one of them. Cars have gone from being a minor financial asset to a major financial liability.

The big default snowball won’t stop there; it will pick up all manner of debt as it rolls along.

For instance, everybody thinks he has to go to college, generally wasting four years grazing at the claptrap smorgasbord tended by liberal-arts profs. With the costs skyrocketing, there are over $1.6 trillion of student loans out. They’ll mostly be defaulted on when English majors find there’s little market for their opinions on social engineering.

Credit card debt will likely be the last crisis to hit. People keep making the minimum payment at 18% as long as possible, and they won’t default until the last minute, simply because they have no further source of funds.

State and city debt represented by municipal bonds is at serious risk because these folks can’t print dollars. And their receipts from income, sales, property, and every other kind of tax are plummeting. At exactly the same time, citizens’ demands are skyrocketing. The $1,200 payments that the Feds are sending out aren’t going to help much—especially since the money came from out of taxpayers’ pockets.

The $24 trillion debt that the government acknowledges it owes is actually dwarfed by the $135 trillion debt from unfunded liabilities for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and such, and this doesn’t include contingent liabilities from FDIC, PBGC, and similar insurance programs.

A large chunk of that debt is held by those nice foreigners who, for years, sent us Sonys and Mercedes in exchange for paper. There’s currently a rush to obtain US dollars because they’re cash and not overpriced stocks and bonds. But that’s going to not only stop but also reverse in the near future, resulting in a much lower standard of living for average Americans.

If there’s a way for them—the governmental and federal geniuses who think they know what’s best—to get us out of this mess, I simply don’t see it. Beginning with the crisis that started in 2008, they’ve used the final arrows in their quiver of phony solutions—namely, the ZIRP (zero-interest rate policy) and quantitative easing (printing money).

What Happened Redux

The problem is that for quite a while now, the U.S. and much of the Western world has been consuming more than they produce.

It’s much as though you borrowed a million dollars for consumption. You’d enjoy an artificially high standard of living… for a while. But when the time came to pay it back, with interest, you’d suffer a very real drop in your standard of living for a very long period.

The enjoyable part of that process is more or less what the average American has been doing for years and is now about to stop doing. But ruinous spending is even more serious in the case of government. It’s a rare American who understands that government debt will eventually reach into his wallet because, in a complex economy, there can be so much delay between cause and effect.

So let’s simplify the matter and look at a two-man economy: a peasant and his king.

Let’s say the peasant produces three tons of food per year. He gives the king one for taxes (after all, kings have to eat too), consumes one himself, and keeps the last ton for seed for next year. The king would like more, but—barring a breakthrough in production technology—there simply is no more grain to be had.

Perhaps financial technology can provide an answer.

And so, after consultation with an economic soothsayer, the king offers the peasant a great deal. Lend the extra ton of seed grain to the king, who will pay it back next year, in time for planting, and with interest.

The peasant buys in, but when he comes back to redeem his scrip and the king tells him that the grain was used for something that seemed like a good idea at the time, it’s obvious they both have a problem. Everyone might starve next year.

This is the problem with government debt in particular. People tend to rely on it as a piece of the cosmic firmament, something with real value. But is the U.S. government essentially different from that of Zimbabwe? The answer is no.

One of the most serious problems of the next era is that it’s very likely that society will believe that what passed for a free market over the last several decades has been discredited.

Reagan, Thatcher, and many other politicians around the world delivered fairly significant tax cuts, privatizations, and some deregulation. These things, coming off a very severe recession of the early ’80s, resulted in what Herman Kahn correctly predicted would be “The Long Boom.” But the boom is now over, definitively. The question is what’s next.

It’s interesting how the world’s social mood seems to change almost in lockstep, at least at major turning points.

The ’30s and ’40s were a horrible time, dominated by statism and represented by characters like Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, Roosevelt, Peron, Mao, and Franco.

The ’60s was the era of hippies. There were race riots all over the U.S. and student revolts all over the world—the U.S., Europe, and China.

The ’80s, ’90s, and ’00s were the era of the yuppie and his motto: “He who dies with the most toys wins.” It was an era of good times and conspicuous consumption—a bit like the Roaring ’20s.

That came to an end in 2008 when we entered the leading edge of a huge financial storm. It’s a huge storm, and it had a huge “eye.” Now we’re going through the trailing edge. It’s going to be much worse, much different, and much longer-lasting than what we experienced from 2009–2010. I suspect this era will have a lot of anger. A lot of blame. Some real poverty. A good measure of violence. It’s not going to be a mellow time in North America, Europe, or China. It will be worse in the so-called “developing” world, which will stop developing without foreign capital.

Let’s focus on the U.S., the current epicenter.

Bankruptcy on Several Levels

Not only the U.S. government but the American society itself is bankrupt, and unfortunately, the situation is much more serious than economic bankruptcy.

It’s rare for someone to go bankrupt because of one bad decision. It takes many bad decisions, a consistent pattern, and that’s possible only by having the wrong moral philosophy.

America’s moral philosophy has degenerated to the extent that Americans think it’s okay to invade other countries that have not attacked them. I’m not talking about just Iraq, Afghanistan, or Syria, pitiful non-entities on the other side of the world. The degeneration started earlier with even weaker prey like Granada, Panama, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic—and, of course, Vietnam.

America’s moral bankruptcy started with a government policy of inflating the currency, which constitutes fraud, and running up the national debt, which is an obvious swindle because the debt will never be paid. This bankruptcy started with the belief that an income tax was needed to level out incomes, but predictably, it did just the opposite. Boobus americanus thoroughly approved of all this and so much more.

Economic bankruptcy is almost always preceded by moral bankruptcy. And it’s accompanied by intellectual bankruptcy: in this case, the philosophical acceptance of economic collectivism and political statism.

The exact description of the situation is fascism—which, contrary to the History Channel, has essentially nothing to do with police jackboots, bizarre racial theories, or militarism. A fascist is simply one who believes in nominal private ownership of both the means of production and consumer goods—but with strong state control over both.

The word derives from the Roman fasces, a group of rods bound together around an ax. The bound rods offer strength; the ax, destructive power. It’s an image that appeals to the type of people who like to control others.

Fascism wouldn’t have had any appeal for the founders of America who, for a while, fought under a flag that showed a rattlesnake and the warning “Don’t Tread on Me.”

What made America different was its foundation on a philosophy of freedom. That word has been so corrupted and leached of meaning—another sign of intellectual bankruptcy.

America is now economically, morally, and intellectually bankrupt.

The country has wandered so far from its founding principles that it is now no different from any of the other 200 nation-states that have spread across the face of the earth like a skin disease.

The U.S. no longer stands for anything; it’s now just another piece of geography. Forget about “America”; it no longer exists. It’s been replaced by “The United States”—not even “These United States,” a concept that was interred by the unpleasantness of 1861–65.

As evidence, I offer you the current state of affairs.

Bankruptcy is a factual matter. Failing to declare bankruptcy when it has happened only adds to the problem.

Germany and Japan were totally and absolutely bankrupt—economically, morally, and intellectually—in 1945. Following the war, should they have tried to continue with their old currencies, policies, ideas, and institutions (that is, if the Allies had allowed them to)? In a word, no.

They had reached the point where the slate needed to be wiped clean, which it was. Then, within a generation, they went from being bombed-out wrecks to two of the most prosperous economies on earth.

Acknowledging bankruptcy is the first step to moving beyond it. Denying bankruptcy when it is a fact only prolongs and worsens the fact.

One obvious consequence of these layers of bankruptcy is an increasing reliance on government. It seems like a cornucopia to the average person, despite the fact that cheese distributions to the poor some years back, the free cell phones, and now $1,200 “alms for the poor” are among the few tangible benefits it has delivered.

Since the government produces nothing, anything it even seems to provide is at the direct expense of somebody else. This simple fact evades almost everyone, from the most ignorant voter to the most powerful officials.

Government produces nothing but wars, pogroms, confiscations, taxes, inflation, and regulation, but people still, idiotically, look to it for salvation—even though it’s the cause of their worst problems.

This is why I’ve long held that the average person is not as bright as you might hope. Once you get beyond discussing the weather, the state of the roads, TV programs, and sports, there’s often no one home.

And that’s the average person. But by definition, 50% of the population is less than average. And they all vote. It’s not hard to figure how they’ll vote.

I admit to being somewhat removed from life among these people, but it’s hard to see how they can even live on so little money. Maybe they’re smarter than I think. But then, people are tolerably competent at running their own lives; the problem arises when they try to run everyone else’s too. The problem arises when they become politically active.

It’s a near certainty that, facing the Greater Depression, the government is going to come up with something like the Newer Deal. That’s because Boobus americanus desperately wants the government—which he thinks is a magical entity that can do anything and solve every problem—to Do Something. And it will.

But it won’t merely fail to do the right things; it is going to do the opposite of the right things. That’s going to make things quite unpleasant…

Editor’s Note: The economic trajectory is troubling. Unfortunately, there’s little any individual can practically do to change the course of these trends in motion.

The best you can and should do is to stay informed so that you can protect yourself in the best way possible, and even profit from the situation.

That’s precisely why NY Times best-selling author Doug Casey and his team just released an urgent video. It reveals how it will all play out and what you can do about it. Click here to watch it now.

Video of the arrest of a mother for allowing her children to play at a playground closed by coronavirus stay-at-home orders has gone viral on YouTube.

The incident in Meridian, Idaho, prompted a protest of about 100 people in front of City Hall in Idaho's third largest city, ZeroHedge reported.

Sara Brady (Ada County Sheriff)

Sara Brady, 40, had been at the playground with others as part of a "playdate protest" against the park closure.

Police said they asked Brady to leave multiple times.

In the video, she's seen asking why the officers aren't wearing a mask.

"Arrest me for being difficult. Do it! Record it!" Brady is heard saying.

Idaho has recorded only 51 deaths due to the coronavirus in a population of nearly 2 million.

Police said that when they arrived, they found the caution tape and metal signs warning the park was closed had been removed.

See the video:

"Meridian officers made several attempts to help Brady adhere to the rules," police said in a statement. "She was non-compliant and forced officers to place her under arrest to resolve the issue. She was arrested for trespassing."

Brady argued to officers: "But we're not trespassing!"

A follow-up video shows police escorted her from the park in handcuffs:

A woman was heard saying as Brady was taken out of the park: "Her kids are here! Her kids are here! What is going to happen? Who's got her kids?"

City and county closed playgrounds last month due to concerns the coronavirus can live on plastic and other surfaces up to two or three days.

CBS affiliate KBOI-TV in Boise reported Brady was charged with one count of misdemeanor trespassing.

Residents of five states protested stay-at-home orders at their capitols on Sunday, declaring it's time to allow people to return to work amid the biggest spike in unemployment since the Great Depression. On Tuesday, residents of North Carolina and Missouri gathered at their state capitols.

At the White House briefing Friday, President Trump encouraged an anti-lockdown group in Minnesota, saying "elements" of some state regulations were "just too tough."

Earlier in the day he tweeted "LIBERATE MINNESOTA!"

Government Goes Too Far

ORIGINAL LINK

Guest Post by John Stossel

Government Goes Too Far

I’m “social distancing.” I stay away from people.

I do it voluntarily.

There’s a big difference between voluntary — and force.

Government is force. The media want more of that.

“Ten states have no stay-at-home orders!” complains Don Lemon On CNN. “Some governors are still refusing to take action!”

Fox News’ host Steve Hilton agreed. “Shut things down! Everywhere. That includes Utah, Wyoming…”

But wait a second. People in Utah and Wyoming already socially distanced just by living there. Why must Utah and Wyoming have the same stay-at-home rules as New York?

I find it creepy how eager some people are for authorities to boss us around.

That’s the topic of my new video.

In Raleigh, North Carolina, people gathered to protest a “stay-at-home” order. The police arrested a protester and tweeted, “Protesting is a non-essential activity.”

I bet they got a chuckle out of that. But our Constitution guarantees Americans the right to “peaceably assemble” and “petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

The coronavirus doesn’t override the Constitution.

Protests also erupted in Michigan, where Gov. Gretchen Whitmer imposed some absurd rules. She declared, “All public or private gatherings of any size are prohibited.” Her executive order stopped people from seeing relatives and banned anyone with more than one home to travel between them.

Big-box stores are allowed to stay open, but they must not sell things like carpet, flooring, furniture, garden supplies, paint, etc. So, Walmart stores are open, but some of their shelves have tape blocking certain products.

That’s just dumb.

Gardening and painting can be done far away from other people.

So can exercise. But in California, police chased down and arrested a paddle boarder paddling in the ocean. He was far more than 6 feet away from anyone.

In Encinitas, California, police fined people $1,000 just for sitting in cars to watch the sunset at the beach. Yes, inside their cars. The police said, “We want compliance from everybody (because of) lives that we’re trying to save.”

But it’s not clear that demanding total compliance is the best way to save lives.

Sweden took a near-opposite approach.

Yes, they encouraged older people to stay inside and sick people to stay home. They didn’t want hospitals overwhelmed. But otherwise, Sweden is carrying on almost as normal.

“Closing schools, stringent measures like that, closing borders, you cannot do that for months or years,” said epidemiologist Anders Tegnell of the Swedish Health Agency. “What we are doing in Sweden we can continue doing for a very long time. I think that’s going to prove to be very important in the long run.”

The long run matters most.

Since a vaccine is probably at least a year away, the Swedes reason that the best protection is what epidemiologists call “herd immunity,” a critical mass of people who get the disease and then are resistant to it.

The hope is that once enough people get coronavirus, there will be enough immunity to prevent mass outbreaks later. Many of the most vulnerable may then be able to avoid ever getting the virus.

The jury is still out on this experiment. More than 1,500 Swedes have died, five times the death rate of neighboring Norway. But if Swedes acquire “herd immunity,” their death rate will be the first to drop.

Other European countries agree that lockdowns are not sustainable.

Last week, Denmark reopened nursery and elementary schools. Germany opened retail stores this week. Norway opens schools next week. Austria reopens shops to people who wear masks on May 1.

That seems smarter than the “absolute shutdown” promoted by so many American authorities. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has threatened to “shut off water and power” to homes of people who do not shelter in place.

Shut off water and power?

Politicians rush to limit our choices in the name of “keeping us safe.” They don’t even want to think about places like Sweden or the argument that leaving us alone might make us safer.

They just like pushing people around.

Coronavirus Crisis Reopens 150-Year-Old Controversy

ORIGINAL LINK

Submitted by Vixen Vic

Guest Post by Karen Selick

I look at the coronavirus crisis differently from most people. To me, it’s the reopening of a 150-year-old scientific controversy that much of the western world has forgotten.

French scientist Louis Pasteur (1822-1895) is widely celebrated as “the father of germ theory”— the idea that we become sick when our bodies are invaded by foreign organisms such as bacteria, molds, fungi, and of course viruses. Although the idea had been circulating long before Pasteur achieved eminence, his laboratory work in the 1860s appeared to provide the scientific proof that had previously been missing.

What’s not widely known is that other French scientists working in the same field in that era held somewhat different beliefs, known as the “terrain theory”. They believed that the most important factor that determines whether or not a person becomes ill is not the presence of a germ, but rather the preparedness of the body’s internal environment (the “soil” or terrain) to repel or destroy the germ.

One of  the main terrain-theory scientists was Antoine Béchamp (1816-1908). Pasteur and Béchamp were bitter rivals over several scientific issues. The book Pasteur: Plagiarist, Imposter (R. B. Pearson, 1942) even suggests that Pasteur plagiarized some of his work from Béchamp—no doubt a sore point with the latter, who ultimately died in obscurity. Pasteur, by contrast, became a skilled self-promoter who literally managed to make his name a household word long past the time of his death.

The other main proponent of the terrain theory was Claude Bernard (1813-1878), who (notwithstanding their differences of opinion on scientific issues) was a close friend and associate of Pasteur’s. At the end of his life, Pasteur is said to have recognized the importance of what Bernard had been trying to tell him, remarking, “Bernard avait raison. Le germ n’est rien, c’est le terrain qui est tout.” (Bernard was right. The germ is nothing, it’s the soil that is everything.)

In 1982, French scholar Marie Nonclercq published her doctoral thesis on Béchamp, alleging that Pasteur was not only a plagiarist but also a fraud and falsifier of experimental data. But regardless of Pasteur’s character, and regardless of whether he recanted at the end or not, what lives on after him is the mindset, clearly visible amongst most of today’s medical professionals and health care bureaucrats, that it is the germ (formally designated SARS-CoV-2) that has to be tracked down, isolated, avoided, and eradicated—and that’s all that matters. The “terrain”, to conventional modern thinkers, is nothing.

For instance, on the Ontario government’s website telling its citizens what to do about COVID-19, its advice consists entirely of measures designed to prevent people from coming in contact with the virus: stay home, wash your hands often, don’t touch your face, maintain physical distancing and wear a mask when you have to go out.

No mention is made of any measures individuals can take to ensure their immune systems are operating at peak efficiency (or as the French scientists would have put it, their terrain is well prepared to mount a defence). It’s almost as though the Ontario government doesn’t believe human beings have immune systems or that they’re of any use whatsoever. The only hope, Ontario seems to believe, is for a pharmaceutical company to patent a vaccine, because that is the only way that human beings can defend themselves against a virus, or acquire immunity.

In fact, Ontario and Canada have gone out of their way to discourage people from looking for methods of helping themselves. Ontario’s website says “there is no specific treatment” for COVID-19. End of story. Canada’s government-owned broadcasting company, the CBC, recently published this article denouncing “bogus cures” including vitamin C, zinc, medicinal mushrooms and oil of oregano.

This official attitude is utter nonsense—there is actually an abundance of scientific evidence supporting various nutritional supplements as being instrumental in preparing people’s immune systems to repel or overcome viral infections.

Take zinc, for example. Many COVID-19 patients have mentioned as symptoms the loss of their senses of smell and taste. According to the BBC, these symptoms affects as many as 18 percent of infected patients. This CNN article says that some people  will take days or weeks to recover these senses after having the virus, while others may take months or years.

But the loss of these senses is a well-established symptom of zinc deficiency, a fact not mentioned in either of the two articles cited, and apparently not known to most of the mainstream medical community. Yet here is a PubMed study connecting zinc deficiencies with “smell and taste disturbances”. Here’s one specifically connecting “older patients” with zinc deficiencies and loss of acuity in the senses of taste and smell. Both of these studies also mention that zinc deficiencies lead to impaired immune function or an increased risk of infection. Can medical “experts” and governments not connect the dots?

Vitamin D is another nutrient (a hormone, actually) well recognized by scientists to have antiviral benefits. Google Scholar lists 3,670 research reports published in 2020 alone containing the words “vitamin D” and “virus”.

But rather than recommending adequate amounts of vitamin D to Canadians, Health Canada has for many years discouraged people from supplementing with it. “Most Canadians are getting enough vitamin D” says this government website, recommending only that people over 50 might want to take the paltry amount of 400 international units (IU) daily. Other Canadian governments pages recommend slightly more—this one, for instance, which says adults over 70 should take up to 800 IU daily. Never do their recommendations come even close to those of the Vitamin D Society, a consortium of scientists who study this subject. Their FAQ brochure recommends at least 4,000 IU daily to maintain a healthy serum vitamin D level.

But it gets worse. Vitamin D is actually free, if people would only go outdoors in the summer and expose their skin appropriately to the sun. These days, there are even cell phone apps that tell you when the sun is in the right position for your location, how long you should stay out, and how much of your body needs to be exposed in order to get the right dosage. The apps can also be used to determine how to prevent a burn.

Instead of telling Canadians how to get this free vitamin, Health Canada has told them for years to do exactly the opposite: to slather on sunscreen every time they go outdoors in summer and never to expose their skin to the sun.

How many Canadians have died, and will continue to die, of unnecessary health ailments (including COVID-19) because their government has given them this extraordinarily bad advice?

Americans are no better off. The National Institutes of Health fact sheet on vitamin D recommends the same 800 IU maximum that Canada recommends. And it says, “The American Academy of Dermatology advises that photoprotective measures be taken, including the use of sunscreen, whenever one is exposed to the sun.”

That’s no surprise, really. The US government is bedded down even more cozily than the Canadian government with the pharmaceutical companies who will eventually be licenced to produce the sacred vaccine.

But while Pasteur’s germ-theory mindset reigns in officialdom, savvy consumers seem to be following Béchamp and Bernard, without ever having heard of them. Vitamin C, zinc lozenges, and more exotic supplements such as monolaurin (a derivative of coconut oil which in laboratory tests destroys the viral envelope in a manner similar to soap) have been flying off store shelves. Online sellers can’t keep them in stock as word spreads among the public that there’s more they can do than merely trust their governments.

Epidemiologists busily debate the pros and cons of lockdowns and masks in controlling the spread of the virus, but I have yet to see a single report of anyone who has thought to compare the serum vitamin D levels of those who succumbed, versus those who recovered, versus those who have never become infected. This is the sort of data they should be looking at, but imbued with the germ-theory mindset, they are allowing this valuable information to slip away.

I hope this article will change that.

COVID: The projection of a mass illusion

ORIGINAL LINK

by Jon Rappoport

April 21, 2020

(To join our email list, click here.)

Protests against the COVID imprisonment are spreading across America.

—Bright lights starting to dispel the darkness.

These protests are fracturing the illusion that we’re in the grip of a virus that dictates economic suicide.

Here, from the US Library of Congress, is a sentence about the Great Depression of the 1930s:

“In a country with abundant resources, the largest force of skilled labor, and the most productive industry in the world, many found it hard to understand why the depression had occurred and why it could not be resolved.”

Exactly. The engineered 1929 crash of the stock market did not change the quantity or quality of national resources, labor, or industry one iota.

What had changed was the successful projection of a mass illusion: “THINGS ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NOW. TODAY IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM YESTERDAY.”

In 1929, the official gibberish focused on unchecked speculation in the stock market. Today, the official gibberish focuses on an unproven virus.

Official fatuous pronouncements about 1929 would have you believe that every American was, unfortunately, leveraged up to his neck in crashing stocks. Pronouncements about 2020 would have you believe every American has suddenly become a transmitter of a deadly virus. Both big lies.

When it comes to what is laughingly called medical science, the basic energy, drive, ambition, outlook, and inner vision of the individual is discounted. His emotional force is discounted. The resilience of his immune system is discounted. The power of his spiritual beliefs is discounted. His ability to overcome obstacles is discounted. And of course, his natural right to make decisions about his own health is discounted.

Instead, he is viewed as a mechanical unit reacting to germs, with a high potential for failure. This is pure insanity. This is where all the purported sophistication of basic medical science winds up: in a dead end. LIFE itself was eliminated from the equations and formulas. Whose fault is that? Not yours. Not mine.

It turns out that, for many people, their belief in the power of the virus, and their belief in the officials who are spouting gobbledygook about it, outweigh their belief in whatever spiritual ultimates they profess.

Their own deepest beliefs are not strong enough.

Their religion is television.

Which is where the mass illusion is projected.

Epidemics are staged on television.

Images begin to flow:

An emergency medical vehicle on a street. EMT personnel, in hazmat suits, load a man strapped down to a stretcher, into the van. On another street, a man collapses on the sidewalk. We see yet another quarantined man sitting inside a huge plastic bubble on a third street. Cut to an airport lobby. Soldiers are patrolling the space among the crowds. Cut to a lab. Close-up of vials of liquid. Camera pulls back. Techs in light green scrubs are placing the vials into slots of a table-top machine. Auditorium—a man on a platform, wearing a doctor’s white coat, is pointing a wand at a large screen, on which a chart is displayed, for the audience. Back to the street. People are wearing face masks.

These images wash over the television viewer. Meanwhile, the anchor is imparting his prepared meaning: “The government today issued a ban on all travel into and out of the city…hundreds of plane flights have been cancelled. Scientists are rushing to develop a vaccine…”

The television audience has an IMPRESSION of knowing something. They’re in the flow, the flow of the news…they’re in the images…

Or: Example: we see angry crowds on the street of a foreign city. Many shots of young people on their cell phones sitting in outdoor cafés. Then the marble lobby of a government building where men in suits are walking, standing in groups talking to each other. Then at night, rockets exploding in the sky. Then armored vehicles moving through a gate into the city. Then clouds of smoke on another street and people running, chased by police.

A flow of consecutive images. The sequence, obviously, has been assembled by a news editor, but the viewing audience isn’t aware of that. They’re watching the “interconnected” images and listening to a news anchor tell a story that colors (infects) every image: “This is revolution for democracy, created by the technology of cell phones…”

Viewers thus believe something. Television has imparted a sensation to them.

In his 1976 film masterpiece, Network, Paddy Chayefsky’s unhinged newsman, Howard Beale, broadcasts this message to his audience on national television—

“So, you listen to me. Listen to me! Television is not the truth. Television’s a god-damned amusement park. Television is a circus, a carnival, a traveling troupe of acrobats, storytellers, dancers, singers, jugglers, sideshow freaks, lion tamers, and football players. We’re in the boredom-killing business… We deal in illusions, man. None of it is true! But you people sit there day after day, night after night, all ages, colors, creeds. We’re all you know. You’re beginning to believe the illusions we’re spinning here. You’re beginning to think that the tube is reality and that your own lives are unreal. You do whatever the tube tells you. You dress like the tube, you eat like the tube, you raise your children like the tube. You even think like the tube. This is mass madness. You maniacs. In God’s name, you people are the real thing. We are the illusion.”

Television, in the main, does not attempt to impart knowledge. It strives to give the viewer the impression that he knows something. There is a difference.

Knowledge, once established, is independent of the viewer. Whereas the impression of knowing is a feeling, a conviction, a belief the viewer holds, after he has watched moving images on a screen. THIS is what the addicted viewer prefers. He wants no part of knowledge.

Therefore: a short circuit occurs in his mind.

When you export this pattern out to a whole society, you are talking about a dominant method through which fake knowledge is groped and held close.

“Did you see that fantastic video about the Iraq War? It showed that Saddam actually had bioweapons.”

“Really? How did they show that?”

“Well, I don’t remember. But watch it. You’ll see.”

And that’s another feature of the modern acquisition of “knowledge”: amnesia about details.

The viewer can’t recall key features of what he saw. Or if he can, he can’t describe them, because he was inside them, busy building up his impression of knowing something.

Narrative-visual-television story strips out and discards conceptual analysis.

When a technology (television) turns into a method of perception, reality is turned inside out. People watch TV through TV eyes.

Mind control is no longer something only imposed from the outside. It is a matrix of a self-feeding, self-demanding loop.

Willing Devotees of the Image WANT images, food stamps of the programmed society.

The false pandemic I’ve been rejecting, in many articles, is delivered through video flow and narration. Stacked and cut images.

There is no television challenge to the television flow, through the intrusion of actual knowledge, because that would shut down the parade of images and nullify the reasons for broadcasting them in the first place.

The old theater adage, “the show must go on,” when adapted for television, becomes, “the flow must go on.” Once its course is set, there can be no turning back.

But individuals can shred the flow.

And groups of protestors can shred the flow.

And freedom breaks out.

Harvard prof calls for total ban on homeschooling

ORIGINAL LINK

(Pixabay)

The estimated 56 million American children who are being homeschooled because of coronavirus-pandemic lockdowns is a growing catastrophe in the mind of Harvard Law School professor Elizabeth Bartholet and other educators.

In an article for Harvard Magazine headlined "The Risks of Homeschooling," Bartholet urged the government to step in to protect children from their own parents, reports PJ Media columnist Paula Bolyard.

Bartholet, the faculty director of Harvard Law School's Child Advocacy Program, told the magazine that homeschooling deprives children of their right to a "meaningful education."

She explained it's "important that children grow up exposed to community values, social values, democratic values, ideas about nondiscrimination and tolerance of other people's viewpoints."

PJ Media commented: "In other words, she knows that homeschooled children are being taught to think for themselves, and she won't stand for it."

Meanwhile, the Washington Post published an article by a former teacher and education bureaucrat, Kevin Huffman, titled "Homeschooling during the coronavirus will set back a generation of children."

Huffman wrote that the United States during the coronavirus pandemic "is embarking on a massive, months-long virtual-pedagogy experiment, and it is not likely to end well."

"Years of research shows that online schooling is ineffective — and that students suffer significant learning losses when they have a long break from school," he said.

Parents have 'authoritarian control'

The Harvard prof Bartholet acknowledged that parents have "very significant rights to raise their children with the beliefs and religious convictions that the parents hold."

But then she insists the influence of parents must be restricted

"The issue is, do we think that parents should have 24/7, essentially authoritarian control over their children from ages zero to 18?" she asks. "I think that’s dangerous," she replied. "I think it's always dangerous to put powerful people in charge of the powerless, and to give the powerful ones total authority."

PJ Media's Bolyard noted that Bartholet trotted out an anecdotal story of a child taught at home not receiving a proper education.

"What they never seem to mention," PJ Media said, "is that in the vast majority of the tragic cases used to 'prove' how dangerous homeschooling is, the victims were a) truant rather than being legally homeschooled and/or b) were known to child protective services who ignored the abuse and neglect in the home."

Bartholet insisted that parents be required to prove to the government that they are qualified to teach their children.

"I think an overwhelming majority of legislators and American people, if they looked at the situation," Bartholet says, "would conclude that something ought to be done."

Bolyard, however, pointed out homeschoolers:

  • Typically score 15 to 30 percentile points above public-school students on standardized tests
  • Score above average on achievement tests regardless of their parents’ level of formal education or their family’s household income
  • Typically score above average on the SAT and ACT tests
  • Typically score above average, on measures of social, emotional and psychological development including peer interaction, self-concept, leadership skills, family cohesion, participation in community service and self-esteem
  • Go to and succeed at college at an equal or higher rate than the general population
  • Participate in local community service more frequently than does the general population, vote and attend public meetings more frequently than the general population
  • Internalize the values and beliefs of their parents at a high rate

Bartholet claimed in a recent Arizona Law Review paper, "Many homeschool because they want to isolate their children from ideas and values central to our democracy, determined to keep their children from exposure to views that might enable autonomous choice about their future lives."

She called, therefore, for a "radical transformation in the homeschooling regime and a related rethinking of child rights" that "recommends a presumptive ban on homeschooling, with the burden on parents to demonstrate justification for permission to homeschool."

Bartholet is leading a June summit at Harvard to discuss regulating homeschooling.

These are strange days, indeed. But in what alternative universe can anyone imagine Joe Biden actually making it through a presidential election campaign? The party he supposedly leads stuffed him into a broom closet last week after he gibbered through a session with CNN’s leading light Anderson Cooper. They can’t just hide the poor fellow there until November 3.

Asked about reopening everyday life in America, Mr. Biden said, “You know, there’s a… uh, during World War II, uh… you know, where Roosevelt came up with… a thing, uh, that, uh… you know, was totally different than a… than the… the, it’s called… he called it the… you know, the World War II… he had the war… the War Production Board….”

Everybody knows he’s dimmer than a night-lite, and everybody’s pretending it’s okay. There’s no analog in history for any faction putting up such an empty vessel for high office. Granted, the Democratic Party has trafficked in unreality for years, from Crossfire Hurricane through UkraineGate — with side-trips like trannies in women’s sports — but those capers were just old-fashioned scams. Joe Biden for President is Emperor’s-New-Clothes caliber deceit, requiring a rank-and-file so marinated in falsehood they couldn’t tell you the difference between a red light and a green light.

So, you have to ask: what is their game? In the weeks that led up to the blossoming of Covid 19, the game was apparently to bump off Bernie Sanders to satisfy the party’s corporate sponsors, who were not so eager to back someone that promised to confiscate their wealth. Ironically, Covid 19 only fortified Bernie’s case that the nation’s obscenely crooked health care system demands drastic reform. Now, you could easily construct a scenario in which ol’ Bernie would have glided to victory in November on the basis of that, combined with unemployment figures that make the Great Depression look like a job fair.

Picking Joe Biden as the instrument to block Bernie seemed especially dumb just weeks after the Democrat’s impeachment gambit blew up in their faces by shining a fiercely revealing light on Joe and Hunter’s adventures in international grift. One can easily discern Mr. Biden’s motive for remaining in the race after that because sheltering in candidacy seemed to inoculate him from any criminal investigation. But, did the whole party want to go all-in on that?

Maybe so, because the doings in Ukraine circa 2014 included a large cast of characters in Barack Obama’s state department – not least, Secretary of State John Kerry – plus the entire George Soros network of international backstage finaglers, with tendrils to Jeffrey Epstein’s nefarious operations – in short, a can of worms so slithery and disgusting they make the Democratic Party look like a primordial sink of species dumped into Mother Nature’s discontinued merchandise bin. Note: none of that has been adjudicated yet and don’t assume they’ll get off scot-free.

Then there is the sexual molestation charge against Mr. Biden by ex-staffer Tara Reade, who claims the then-Senator violated her manually in 1993. The New York Times editors sang la-la-la-la-la-la-kittens-and-puppies for two weeks before they even acknowledged the accusation, only to dismiss it because, well, it was like… you know, where Roosevelt came up with… a thing, uh, that, uh… you know, was totally different than a….

There really are only two plausible game plans for the Dems with Joe Biden. One is that he’s a mere placeholder until the convention – assuming it can even be held — where party bigwigs are forced to un-do their Biden blunder by some legerdemain of rules-fudging, and cram in a last-minute replacement. The putative savior would be none other than She-Whose-Turn-Was-Thwarted in 2016, on the grounds that she at least knows how to run for president, even if she isn’t very good at it. They might as well hand every delegate a dixie-cup of cyanide-enhanced kool-aid as they cast that fateful vote.

The other pretty obvious scheme, seemingly underway now, is to fix up Mr. Biden with a running-mate who can take over his duties twenty-three minutes after the inauguration ceremony. Stacey Abrams, the self-proclaimed “real governor of Georgia” who, in fact, lost that election but has made out nicely hustling her delusions, is campaigning arduously for the VP appointment. Wouldn’t that make a heck of an appealing ticket?

Apparently, that’s one more memo the Democratic Party did not get: America no longer has time for identity politics. There are more important things to attend to, like whether large numbers of people go to bed hungry, get cast out of their homes, live or die. Things like that. For the moment, the USA doesn’t have an economy. Nor does much of the rest of the world. Believe me, that’s a problem. And unlike Mr. Biden’s dementia, there’s no pretense about not noticing it.
