Then came the Twitter “poison pill”, a DESPERATE move in an attempt to block Elon Musk’s hostile takeover completely. The announcement came yesterday that Twitter would damage the share value if anyone amassed more than 15% of the company by selling to other shareholders at a discounted cost. Thus proving once and for all, that Big Tech doesn’t give a SH*T about money, or what is best for their shareholders.
So if it’s not money, what is it that they’re REALLY interested in? Why are they willing to destroy themselves in order to prevent a hostile takeover that would actually BENEFIT them? Are they just THAT devoted to their left wing agenda, or is something ELSE going on here….

Not too long ago, Dr Shiva was in the fight of his life, uncovering a SHOCKING connection between Big Tech, and governments around the world! Dr Shiva ran in the Massachusetts Republican Primaries, just before the general election, and noticed that STRANGELY, he had won in what appeared to be a landslide, but ONLY in the counties that hand counted their ballots. On the other hand, in the counties that used machines, he lost!
Hmm. That’s not weird at all!
Obviously, he wanted some answers, so he went directly to the Secretary of State to request the ballot images, and take a look at exactly what happened. Dr Shiva essentially wanted to conduct an audit of the election.
However, the SOS’s office replied “WE DELETED THEM”. Yes, you heard that right, they didn’t have the ballot images which they were required to retain by law! Needless to say, Shiva went ahead and exposed the email communications between the SOS office and himself on Twitter. At the time, he had roughly 250k followers…. Now what do you think happened next?!
DING! DING! DING! You guessed it, he was banned instantly! What a coincidence!
Now, let’s think about that for a second. Dr Shiva is running for a Federal US Senate seat in the general elections, and was banned off of social media in the middle of his campaign the minute he showed emails between he, and a public official admitting to breaking the law.
And here comes the juicy part!
In the preliminary court proceedings, the state actors ADMITTED UNDER OATH, that they have a “Trusted Twitter Partnership”. They described this in detail. They explained that in order to get Dr Shiva banned off of Twitter, all they had to do is contact Twitter through their own “private portal”, and tell them Dr Shiva was spreading “election misinformation”. And just like that ZAP he’s banned…
…Do you understand the magnitude of this?! Big Tech is allowing the government to reach through Twitter, and censor on their behalf! This is a clear 100% undeniable violation of the First Amendment. We’re not just talking about a “private company” anymore, we’re talking about a private company LAUNDERING CENSORSHIP TO THE GOVERNMENT! Reaching THROUGH Twitter via a hotline, and telling them who to ban.
In this case, they silenced the speech of a political candidate in the middle of his campaign! That is some serious SH*T! Oh, but it doesn’t stop there. Dr Shiva went on to discover just how deep the rabbit hole goes. He discovered, that what happened to him was no isolated incident. In fact, what he found was an entire criminal enterprise.
A “Surveillance System to Surveil, Blacklist, and Silence”. Twitter, with the Harvard Belfer Center, the Department of Homeland Security, CISA, and billionaires including Pierre Omidyar and Mark Zuckerberg.” All working together in a massive conspiracy.
“I found a document written by the head of Twitter legal counsel in England talking about how they had set up the Partner Support Portal, PSP to enable the government, the parliamentary security forces of Britain, to report on what they called ‘potential threats’ through Twitter. That same infrastructure was deployed in India in the recent election and then also deployed in Taiwan, Australia, and was brought here in 2020 to the United States.”
So as you can see, this isn’t just an isolated incident. This is systemic. Global. The man literally found PLAYBOOKS used to train staff on controlling speech around elections!
This is the actual training manual used for assessing the “risk level” of certain influencers, (like yours truly). The manual instructs that the influencers be tracked, monitored, and silenced if they pose a significant threat.
Here we sit at the crossroads, with a potential for a based billionaire to intervene and seize control of this criminal enterprise. What happens if a guy like Elon performs a hostile takeover, and takes over this corrupt company? I’ll tell you! He seizes along with it, all of the data, the algorithms, the history, the EVIDENCE! Mind you, Twitter has sworn under oath before US congress that they do not engage in any of these practices and that their algorithms do not contain any inherent bias!
The United States Government, and governments around the globe are at risk of losing one of their greatest assets for spying, tracking, silencing, rigging elections, and pushing their globalist agenda. They also risk total exposure. And let me tell you, they will not allow that to happen. Not under ANY circumstances!
Not without a FIGHT! This is the US government we’re talking about here. I’m actually surprised that Elon hasn’t already “committed suicide”.
We see now that Twitter is prepared to self destruct in order to preserve its dirty little well kept secrets… But, I have a feeling that Elon knew this in advance. He has a relationship with Jack Dorsey. Maybe Jack is in on this with Elon? We know he has been in communication with other investment groups. This isn’t the end. Something big is about to happen, and I have a funny feeling, Elon has a few tricks up his sleeve!
He did say there was a Plan B if they rejected his offer didn’t he?
Now, I have NO idea what that Plan B is, but something tells me ol Elon isn’t the kind of guy who does things willy-nilly. He has already exposed them for the anti-capitalists they are. So, what does he do next? Your guess is as good as mine! Only time will tell but, I have a feeling we’re about to witness one of the most pivotal moments in modern history. And I for one am HYPE!

Your “trusted news sources” in our corner of the world will not tell you this, but the mythologized golem of the West’s collective sick mind, The Putin, mounted Operation Z in Ukraine at our country’s foolish behest. It was a twisted variation of the old head-trip Let’s You and Him Fight — described so well in psychologist Eric Berne’s classic book Games People Play. It’s a game instigated generally by women. The West detests the actual Mr. Putin for systemically and doggedly having to correct the mischief that the USA set in motion there in 2014 — putting out a dumpster fire we kept feeding for eight years.
Mainly we hate the Russian president for doing what he said he would do, acting like a man, literally having to set boundaries for the unruly children, like Daddy used to do. America hates daddies. To America, all daddies are monsters (rapists!). That’s why America wants to turn all daddies into mommies. Anyway, we barely remember what daddies used to do. The context for daddies — the family — has been obliterated in America by every agency and institution in the land. The only role available these days is the chimerical creature known as a “baby daddy,” which is as much a baby as a daddy, developmentally speaking. Real daddies are men, which is to say: not babies. Mr. Putin acts like a man, especially having to do a dirty job that needs doing, without complaint. America can’t stand that.
If the USA and its NATO allies actually cared about Ukraine, we would have just left the place alone to slowly settle into the de-industrialized agricultural backwater it was becoming. And if we wanted to prevent widespread devastation once Operation Z got underway, we would have promoted peace talks, with an emphasis on our previous declaration that Ukraine would not be a candidate to join NATO. Instead, we set up Ukraine as a launching pad for annoying Russia (while also using Ukraine as a money laundromat for public officials and arms-makers).
America is a drama queen, like the Queen Bee in one of those Real Housewives shows on cable TV, whose entire purpose in life is creating colorful conflicts within her circle of sisters. Daddy is not needed around that house, except offstage maybe as the wide-receiver for a multi-million-dollar paycheck courtesy of the NFL (a rival entertainment). When one of America’s drama queen stunts goes wrong, the Queen Bee melts into a puddle of tears — boo hoo — tripping the empathy toggle.The sisters cluster around her, beating their wings. Somebody, please, help her feel better… fetch her a glass of pino grigio or a Xanax!
Drama Queen Bee America does not like how the Ukraine drama is playing out. The mean old Daddy Putin is rocking the joint, cleaning out the place like Gary Cooper in some Long Branch Saloon of the Eurasian steppe — heaving all those Azov Nazis through the swinging doors out into the dusty street. The other sisters in the NATO circle were induced to acting as cheerleaders for the Azov boys, and now Mr. Putin has gone and turned off Europe’s gas. Western Civ is about to be sent to bed without dinner — the ultimate daddy trick. Now the sisters are all going boo hoo. Nothing is working for the sisterhood.
America’s president, “Joe Biden,” suits the current national script perfectly. He’s a mere prop for the drama queens. No one mistakes him for “Daddy.” He’s the old, impotent, intemperate, often confused “Grampy,” a figure of bathos and derision, a shell of a man who, in his prime, lived just to work his official positions for millions in grift. How, otherwise, do you account for his fortune? The Ukraine money laundromat was one of his favorite stops, managed carefully by cheerleaders Victoria Nuland, Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, and NSC official Fiona Hill, America’s foreign policy establishment there back in the day.
But who, exactly, is managing Grampy now backstage in the White House? My guess would be Susan Rice because you never hear anything about Susan Rice or her role there: Director of the Domestic Policy Council of the United States. Wow! Sounds weighty. When was the last time you saw her name in The New York Times or cable TV news? You’d think they’d be interested in her doings. Yet I doubt that one-in-a-hundred US citizens could tell you who Susan Rice is and what she does. (Was that her the other day in a bunny suit at the White House Easter Egg Roll, assisting a confused Grampy offstage?)
Somewhere in the White House there must be phone logs that record how many times a day Ms. Rice makes and receives phone calls across town to and from the Kalorama neighborhood of DC. Does that make Barack Obama America’s secret daddy? Or is he playing a somewhat different role… like, head of a cartel?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is an advisory agency that proposes health guidelines to the executive branch, but Dr. Anthony Fauci complained in an interview that the federal court that blocked the Biden administration's federal transport mask mandate "superseded the authority of the CDC."
In an interview with The Tennessean newspaper of Nashville, Fauci said the mask mandate was extended because the CDC "wanted to see what the pattern of infection is during this bit of a surge we're seeing [in areas of the country]."
"I think it's unfortunate that a court order came in and, I believe, superseded the authority of the CDC," said Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
On Monday, U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle ruled that the CDC failed to provide justification for the Biden administration's extension of the mandate 15 days to May 3 and did not go through the required notice and comment period for federal rulemaking. The judge found that the mandate, in violation of the Administrative Procedure Act, was outside the scope of the CDC's authority, calling it "arbitrary" and "capricious."
"Because our system does not permit agencies to act unlawfully even in pursuit of desirable ends, the court declares unlawful and vacates the mask mandate," the Trump-appointed judge wrote.
Major U.S. airlines immediately made masks voluntary, putting the carriers in line with major foreign airlines that already had made that move. Amtrak also dropped its mask requirement while stating "masks are welcome and remain an important preventive measure against COVID-19."
On Tuesday night, the Justice Department and the CDC released a statement saying we "disagree with the district court's decision and will appeal, subject to CDC's conclusion that the order remains necessary for public health."
The CDC argues that the seven-day moving average of COVID cases has increased.
However, every state that had a mask mandate has lifted it. And COVID-19 data collected by the New York Times shows that the mandates had no impact on case rates. The Manhattan Institute’s City Journal published a graph based on that data comparing the cases in the 11 states that never mandated masks with the 39 that did.
Further, the "risk of contracting coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) during air travel is lower than from an office building, classroom, supermarket, or commuter train," affirms an article in JAMA Network, a publication of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
And scientific studies and data accumulated from two years of mask mandates indicate they are not effective in curbing the spread of the virus.
Fauci, in fact, spoke out against universal masking amid a pandemic in a "60 Minutes" interview in March 2020, affirming the standard viewpoint at that time. He warned of "unintended consequences," saying there's "no reason to be walking around with a mask" in "the middle of an outbreak."
Fauci later said he told Americans they didn't need to wear a mask because he wanted to ensure there was enough supply for frontline workers.
However, at the time of his interview, the executive director of the World Health Organization health emergencies program, Dr. Mike Ryan, said there was "no specific evidence to suggest that the wearing of masks by the mass population has any potential benefit."
"In fact, there's some evidence to suggest the opposite in the misuse of wearing a mask properly or fitting it properly," he said.
The WHO at the time recommended people not wear face masks unless they are sick with COVID-19 or caring for someone who is sick.
In March 2020, the CDC also said masks "are usually not recommended" in "non-health care settings."
Surely now masses of travelers will die of Covid due to maskless flights.

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis tweeted Monday after the mask ruling: "Great to see a federal judge in Florida follow the law and reject the Biden transportation mask mandate. Both airline employees and passengers deserve to have this misery end."

In a direct appeal to the Silicon Valley tech giants to censor "misinformation" on social media, former President Obama on Thursday unwittingly affirmed the contention of critics of the COVID-19 vaccines that the fact that clinical trials have not been completed makes the people who have received the shots part of an experiment.
"Despite the fact that we have now essentially clinically tested the vaccine on billions of people worldwide, around one in five Americans is still willing to put themselves at risk, and put their families at risk, rather than get vaccinated," he said in a speech at Stanford University.
"People are dying because of misinformation."
The former president's remarks illustrate the danger of censoring "misinformation," if only because one person's misinformation might well be another person's evidence-based opinion or eventually become common knowledge.
Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and other social media platforms notoriously have censored the voices of some of the world's most highly qualified medical scientists because their views don't align with the ever-evolving government and establishment media position on the pandemic and related issues.
President Biden and CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, for example, assured Americans when the vaccines were rolled out that if you get vaccinated – for a disease that the CDC says has a survival rate of nearly 100% for people without chronic comorbidities – you won't get infected and you won't transmit the virus.
That hasn't turned out to be true, confirming the censored warnings of scientists such as Dr. Robert Malone and Dr. Peter McCullough, who in January observed the "crumbling" establishment narrative that included "false statements regarding asymptomatic spread, reliance on lockdown and masks – which obviously didn't work – the suppression of early treatment, the mass promotion of vaccines that failed."
And Walensky had to admit at a forum last month that the CDC exercised "too little caution and too much optimism" about the effectiveness of the vaccines in preventing infection, transmission and deaths. And she acknowledged science isn't "black and white," it's "gray," and "sometimes it takes months and years to actually find out the answer."
In February, suggesting Americans can't handle the "answer," unnamed CDC officials told the New York Times that the agency had withheld most of its data regarding COVID-19 for fear it would be misinterpreted by critics.
Regarding the vaccine "experiment," Obama and Biden administration officials don't mention the fact that clinical trials are ongoing for vaccines that came to market under emergency use authorization in less than one year while vaccines normally require a process that takes five to 10 years, in part because of the need to test for long-term side effects.
Among the thousands of pages of FDA documents on the Pfizer trials – which the agency was forced to release after pressing for a 75-year delay – is evidence the agency had concern about many serious side effects that a growing number of people now are reporting to have suffered.
Obama's comment Thursday about the clinical testing of the vaccines on the global population echoed a revealing remark by a member of the FDA vaccine panel last fall prior to a vote on whether to recommend the Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5-11.
Dr. Eric Rubin, editor-in-chief of the New England Journal of Medicine, reflected the reluctance of members to recommend the Pfizer vaccine for young children because of the lack of safety data. Rubin said that, for example, myocarditis is “a side effect that we can’t measure yet.” But he concluded the shots should be given to children anyway.
"We're never going to learn about how safe the vaccine is unless we start giving it," he argued. "That’s just the way it goes."

The New York Times reported on Thursday ahead of Obama's Stanford appearance that "in many private meetings and public appearances over the last year, the former president has waded deeply into the public fray over misinformation and disinformation, warning that the scourge of falsehoods online has eroded the foundations of democracy at home and abroad."
In his Stanford speech, the paper said, he was "expected to add his voice to demands for rules to rein in the flood of lies polluting public discourse."
It was under Obama that the Justice Department and the FBI pursued the Trump-Russia collusion hoax adopted by establishment media as the unassailable truth, while it now appears that it was Hillary Clinton who colluded with Russia to try to win the 2016 election, suggests evidence in a special counsel investigation.
Letting the data speak
Meanwhile, CDC and U.K. government data have indicated that the COVID-19 vaccines not only are ineffective in preventing cases and transmission, they rapidly lose protection against severe illness or death while posing risks.
A newly published long-term study by the prestigious British journal The Lancet that followed up on participants in the Moderna and Pfizer trials found the vaccines had no effect on overall mortality.
Last month, a former adviser to the FDA commissioner who continues to serve in an oversight role said the agency is ignoring its requirement to disclose clear safety and efficacy problems with the COVID-19 vaccines. Also in March, an Army flight surgeon testified in federal court that she was ordered by high-level command not to discuss the controversy over Department of Defense data indicating a massive spike in serious injuries and illnesses among military personnel when the vaccines were rolled out in 2021. And, mounting reports of serious injury and death on the CDC's vaccine-injury website, an analysis of CDC data by a former Wall Street executive an an insurance industry expert shows an alarming rise in excess deaths among Millennials over the past year coinciding the COVID vaccine rollout.
In April, the Food and Drug Administration released a briefing document that says the composition of the current COVID-19 vaccines might need to be changed to ensure high levels of protection.

(THE POST MILLENNIAL) – A new Ipsos survey conducted for MNP suggests that 31 percent of Canadians aren't earning enough to cover their bills. Respondents said that their incomes aren't covering bills and debt payments, with 53 percent of respondents saying that they are $200 away from insolvency.
The survey, of 2,000 Canadians, was conducted between March 9 and 15, taking place just a week before the Bank of Canada raised its policy rate in an effort to curb inflation that has already hit Canadians' pockets hard.
The survey shows that 52 percent of respondents were already feeling the effects of high interest rates.

There remain many questions unanswered about the irregularities of the 2020 presidential election.
But it's known that there were several malign influences at work against President Trump, including the $420 million Mark Zuckerberg gave to local election officials which often ended up being used to recruit voters from Democrat districts, a campaign a later analysis charged essentially bought the election for Joe Biden.
Also, many elections officials, based on COVID-19 worries, simply ignored their own state laws about mail-in ballots and ballot harvesting. And then there was the concerted legacy and social media campaign to suppress accurate, and damaging, reporting about the Biden family's overseas business scandals just days before the election. A Media Research Center study showed had that information been distributed routinely, enough voters would have withheld their support to deprive Biden of the election win.
President Trump has been blasted by his critics for his description of 2020 as a "stolen election."
But a new poll shows that even today, 72% of Democrats believe the 2016 election was stolen from Hillary Clinton.
Rasmussen Reports explained, "Fears of Russian interference in U.S. politics remain widespread, and Democratic voters overwhelmingly agree with Hillary Clinton that Russia is to blame for her defeat in 2016."
"The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 47% of Likely U.S. Voters believe it is likely that Russian interference changed the outcome of the 2016 presidential election, including 26% who say it’s Very Likely. Forty-six percent (46%) don’t think it’s likely Russian interference changed the 2016 election, including 32% who say it is Not At All Likely," the organization reported.
Clinton herself said in an interview in 2020, "It's very clear that Russia succeeded. They believe that they were able to influence the minds and even votes of Americans, so why would they stop?"
The poll said 72% of Democrats "believe it’s likely the 2016 election outcome was changed by Russian interference, but that opinion is shared by only 30% of Republicans and 39% of voters not affiliated with either major party."
Rasmussen explained, "Last week, CNN reported that U.S. intelligence sources believe Russian President Vladimir Putin may be 'dialing up his attempts to interfere with American elections.' Fifty-nine percent (59%) of voters think it’s likely Russia will try to interfere in this year’s congressional midterm elections, including 38% who say such interference is Very Likely. Thirty-four percent (34%) don’t believe Russian interference in the midterm elections is likely, including 16% who say it is Not At All Likely."
The survey of 1,000 U.S. Likely Voters was done April 14-17. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
It explained, "A majority (53%) of Democrats believe it is Very Likely that Russia will try to interfere in the midterm elections, an opinion shared by 33% of Republicans and 27% of unaffiliated voters. Twenty-two percent (22%) of Republicans, nine percent (9%) of Democrats and 17% of unaffiliated voters think Russian interference in the congressional midterm elections is Not At All Likely."
The report said voters with annual incomes above $200,000 "are most likely to think Russian interference changed the presidential election outcome in 2016, while those with incomes between $50,000 and $100,000 are most skeptical toward claims of Russian interference in the 2016 election."
Rasmussen said, "President Joe Biden’s strongest supporters are most certain that Russian interference changed the 2016 election, and to fear future interference. Among voters who Strongly Approve of Biden’s job performance as president, 86% believe it’s at least somewhat likely Russian interference changed the outcome of the 2016 presidential election and 75% think it is Very Likely that Russia will try to interfere in this year’s congressional midterm elections. By contrast, among voters who Strongly Disapprove of Biden’s performance, only 18% think the 2016 election was changed by Russian interference, and just 20% say Russian interference in this year’s midterms is Very Likely."

Rhode Island Democrats have introduced a bill that would double the state income tax for residents who have unvaccinated children.
Yes, really.
State Senator Samuel Bell (D) submitted the punitive bill last month, which orders all Rhode Island residents and taxpayers over 16 years old to receive the COVID-19 injection and boosters mandated by the state’s director of the department of health.
Anybody who violates that order “shall owe twice the amount of personal income taxes” to the state.
This act would mandate all residents sixteen (16) years or older to be vaccinated against COVID-19. If a resident is under sixteen (16) years of age the resident would be required to be immunized against COVID-19, with the responsibility for ensuring compliance falling on all parents or guardians with medical consent powers.
Additionally any person who violates this chapter would be required to pay a monthly civil penalty of fifty dollars ($50.00) and would owe twice the amount of personal income taxes.
In order for parents to receive an exemption for a minor, they will need to have three different doctors state on record that the child is “not fit for immunization” and the child themselves will have to sign the form.
Additionally, the state’s health department will have the power to investigate any petition for exemption.
Bell pointed to a survey conducted by Harvard, Northeastern, Northwestern and Rutgers Universities to justify the statewide vaccine mandate, claiming 65% of residents support it.

What Bell fails to mention is that the survey is conducted with “nonprobability sampling”, which is more unreliable than random sampling because it’s prone to selection bias, and therefore less likely to represent the larger population.
Additionally, the nonprobability sampling was drawn from participants in all 50 states rather than within Rhode Island itself.
Though this draconian bill clearly violates the bodily autonomy of Rhode Islanders, Democrats may still succeed in pushing the bill through given they have a 33-5 supermajority in the state senate and a 65-10 supermajority in the House.
Notably, all 38 state senate seats are up for reelection in the 2022 midterms, as well as all 75 seats in the House.

A disturbing pattern has emerged in French presidential elections: A credible candidate is found almost at the last minute to have committed an illegal act, the revelation of which is intended to spoil or destroy altogether the candidate’s electoral chances.
The latest “victim” of this pattern is Marine Le Pen, who is facing the incumbent president, Emmanuel Macron, in the forthcoming second round of the French presidential election, a repeat of the contest of 2017.
The main difference between the two contests is that, this time round, the polls give Le Pen at least some slight chance of victory, while last time Macron gained not only an overwhelming victory, but from the first had also appeared likely to do so.
The outcome was never in any kind of doubt, as it is now.
Le Pen is usually described as being of the far right, though in fact her economic ideas are in some respects not very different from those of the candidate of the far left, Jean-Luc Mélanchon, who came not very far behind her in the first round of the election, in which the two candidates who receive the most votes go forward to the second, and decisive, round.
Perhaps economic affinity helps to explain why almost as many voters for the far-left candidate say they will vote for the candidate of the far right as say they will vote for the centrist candidate, Macron. Mélanchon himself has expressed the wish that not a single one of his voters should vote for Le Pen, without, however, having asked them to vote for Macron. He seems, then, to be hoping for a high rate of abstention, which would strengthen his argument that the current French political system is undemocratic and illegitimate, and that the country needs yet another new constitution.
Le Pen has just been accused by the European Union’s antifraud office of malversation of funds, 136,993.99 euros (about $148,000) of the Union’s money to be precise, while she was a member of the European Parliament between 2004 and 2017. For example, she is accused of having claimed 23,100 euros (about $25,000) for the purchase of little objects such as pens and bags to be given out at her political party’s annual conference in 2014, which is not allowed under the rules.
It might be a coincidence that the accusation of something that was allegedly done eight years ago has emerged in the week before the election, but I do not think many people will be found to believe it.
After all, Le Pen is decidedly hostile to the European Union, while Macron is almost a religious devotee of it.
There are no prizes for guessing, then, which of the two candidates the Union would prefer to win.
This is not the same as saying that Le Pen is innocent, which is why I put inverted commas round the world “victim.” When I mentioned the allegation to a French friend, who voted for Mélanchon and had decided to abstain in the second round, though she said she preferred Le Pen to Macron, she exclaimed “But they all do it!”
This was what was commonly said when François Fillon, the favorite to win the 2017 presidential election, was suddenly (and conveniently) revealed to have employed his wife at public expense for a fictitious job. He was not innocent, but he had been doing it for at least 15 years. Could it really have been mere coincidence that it came to light just as he was set fair to win an election? True, a presidential candidate’s record comes under unusually close scrutiny, but Fillon had also been prime minister, so that he was by no means an unknown figure.
It’s difficult to resist the conclusion that it’s someone’s candidacy, not his fraud, that his accusers object to.
While the accusation of fraud sank Fillon’s electoral chances (he was subsequently sentenced to five years’ imprisonment, a sentence that he’s still appealing), many people in France shrugged their shoulders in the belief that what he had done, while criminal, was normal for the political class, and that there must be many others in the same boat.
It’s instructive to compare this with an anecdote about Charles de Gaulle when he was facing François Mitterrand in the presidential election. His team came to him with very discreditable information about Mitterrand (not very difficult to find). De Gaulle, however, refused to use it. He said that he had always known that Mitterrand was an unscrupulous scoundrel, but if by chance he won the election, he would still be president of the Republic. De Gaulle, who was hardly free of ego, recognized that the position was greater than the man—any man.
Awkward and difficult as he was, perhaps even megalomanic, there’s no doubt that de Gaulle had a certain probity. No one ever accused him of feeding at the trough of public expenditure, for instance, or of having his finger in many commercial pies. He never amassed a huge fortune, nor did he peddle influence or join the board of giant corporations after his retirement from political life at an immense salary for doing very little. He could therefore take an elevated, even lordly, view of politics, because he could not himself ever have been accused of the kind of wrongdoing that, alas, we now expect of our elected representatives.
“They all do it,” “They are all the same”—how many times have I heard this! And if they all do it, and they are all the same, but we must nevertheless choose one among them, we feel besmirched ourselves, as if we had participated in something discreditable or even disgusting. And this is one of the dangerous feelings that makes people hanker after something other than democracy.
The accusation against Le Pen could conceivably backfire, so patently is it timed to influence the election, but I still think that Macron will win. Furthermore, I think any other result would be extremely dangerous, even catastrophic, for France, which is not to avow any admiration whatsoever for Macron. Most elections, not only in France, are a choice between la peste et le choléra, the plague and cholera.

Make no doubt about it, there’s something seriously disturbing about the state of the recent Covid lockdowns taking place in Shanghai. Even for China.
Here is what the outbreak looks like, if we are to believe the numbers coming out of China. You’ll have to excuse me for being frank, but I simply don’t believe them. China has lied about nearly everything since the beginning of the pandemic, and they certainly don’t have the rest of the world’s best interest in mind now that they are allying with Russia economically.

In pre-history, we can see a kind of information warfare in the culture of war, sending a message both to the domestic group and to the enemy. This took the form of beating drums, for instance, which remains with us today in the expression of “beating the drums of war.” But also in dance, and chant, and decoration of the warrior. All this prepared the people for war and was intended to instill fear in the enemy.
With settlement in cities, and the development of writing – the start of so-called civilization – new technologies were used in what we call today information warfare. Architecture played an important role to inspire awe in both the ruler’s subjects and in his enemies. The lions on the gates of Babylon, the pyramids at Zoser and Giza and the triumphal arches of Rome sent messages of grandeur and power to friend and foe alike.

“Data was very easily used by influencers and decision-makers to fit particular narratives,” Norman Fenton, Ph.D., a mathematician at Queen Mary University of London, said in an interview on “RFK Jr. The Defender Podcast.”
From the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Norman Fenton, Ph.D., could see health officials were misusing data and misleading the public.
A professor of risk information management at Queen Mary University of London, Fenton is a mathematician who focuses on critical decision-making and quantifying uncertainty.
Throughout the pandemic, he closely examined and criticized how officials used data to make decisions about lockdowns, testing and vaccines.
Fenton spoke last week with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on “RFK Jr. The Defender Podcast.”
“When the COVID pandemic emerged, what kind of challenges did you specifically see?” Kennedy asked Fenton.
Fenton replied:
“It was clear I think from the start that most of the data that governments put out — not just the UK government, but most governments around the world … were kind of misleading because it was based on very easily manipulated statistics.”
This was true of both the nature of COVID itself and the vaccines, Fenton said.
“There was an immediate rush to draw conclusions, which were sort of based on over-simplistic data on case numbers and deaths,” he said. “… the problem was that that data was very easily used by influencers and decision-makers to fit particular narratives that exaggerated the scale of the crisis.”
Fenton’s team published some of the first research providing more accurate estimates about the infection rate versus the fatality rate compared with official estimates he said were based on faulty data.
The research showed the virus was more widespread than people assumed, but nowhere near as dangerous as was being claimed.
Fenton also addressed issues with PCR tests.
Although it was clear early on that a proper understanding of the virus depended on accurate diagnostic tests, he said, “we were initially led to believe that the PCR test was an accurate diagnostic test.”
“But later, of course, we discovered that wasn’t true. And the impact of that has been catastrophic,” he said.
Kennedy agreed. “The magnitude of [the epidemic] was enormously and deceptively amplified by the misuse of the PCR test,” he said.
Fenton first came under attack in the summer and early fall of 2020, when he challenged how COVID deaths were classified, he said, and questioned the widespread testing of asymptomatic people.
“That was when we were finding the real problems about the false positives and the scale of the false positives,” Fenton said.
Excessive testing led to “absolutely ridiculous decisions,” he said, including new lockdowns.
Information concerning deaths following COVID vaccination also was manipulated, Fenton said, as part of the official claim that the vaccine was the only way to keep people from becoming seriously ill and dying.
Data adjusted to take into account misclassification show a peak in mortality shortly after vaccination, he said, cautioning:
“Now, of course, it could well be that these are people who are indeed immunosuppressed seriously. Also … the vaccination might just be bringing forward the death, which would’ve occurred shortly afterward anyway.
“But nevertheless, that’s what we believe is there in the data, but is of course being hidden.”
