This is an alarming report – because of what it says about what has been going on. A good friend of mine, who isn’t elderly or obese or chronically afflicted by any sickness – who is a big strapping guy who lifts weights and also regularly does 30-50 mile competitive bicycle rides – called this morning to let me know he has the ‘Rona.
Again.
And this time, it’s much worse. He says he’s been unable to eat for a couple of days now and has a weird rash on his thigh, too.
But that’s not the worst of it.
It’s the Jab he took that is. Which may be the cause of this.
The Jab he was pressured to submit to via threats of losing his job/income if he chose not to.
My friend is a nurse who works within the VA hospital system. The bastards made my friend take the Jab as the price of keeping his job.
And now he’s sick. Not just a little bit, either. He might get sicker.
Let’s dissect both.
First, he’s sick. Yet, he took – was coerced to take – the Jab. The one the Biden Thing told everyone was “95 percent effective” and that if you took it, you wouldn’t have to worry about getting sick. This has turned out to be what some might style . . . misinformation.
And now my Jabbed friend is very sick. There are likely millions of such cases – italicized vs. air-fingers-quotation marks because this time, it’s not just a positive test result on a test that produces a “positive” test result when papayas are tested – and which doesn’t necessarily correlate with actual sickness.
Millions of people are now actually getting sick.
Most of these are Jabbed.
Why, there might be a connection.
The evidence hat there is one is so overwhelming that it is hardly even denied any longer. In some countries, nearly everyone has been Jabbed – upwards of 90 percent – so almost no one ought to be getting sick.
Right?
And yet, they are – lots of them. More of them – and worse – than before. Ergo, there is no rational way to deny that those who are now getting sick weren’t immunized against anything.
In the United States, probably half or more of the population has been Jabbed – many of these several times over the course of less than one year. And yet, the cases – of people actually getting sick – are up rather than down. In a world not enstupified this would cause a pause. The FDA would not be approving a fresh round of Jabs . . . for kids. A halt would be called to Jabs, as has always been the case in the past when it became clear the supposed cure was worse than the actual disease.
Back to my friend.
He’s not just a little sick, a matter of coughs and aches and not feeling too great. That was the degree of sickness he experienced before he got Jabbed, when he got whatever-was-going-around earlier this year. And then I got it, too – from him. He was a little under-the-weather one day at the gym; a couple of days later, so was I. Neither of us was slammed, unable to eat or function. We just didn’t feel too great for a week or so – and then it was gone and back to normal.
We both, like millions of others who aren’t elderly or obese or chronically sick with other sicknesses that make one vulnerable to getting sicker – fought off this sickness without too much trouble – and without any drugs – because we both had strong immune systems. I worry that my friend no longer has one. On account of what the Jab may have done to his immune system. How else to explain his sudden affliction? Not just that he got it (again) when he probably would otherwise haven’t gotten it all, because he had natural immunity to prevent his getting it.
But that he got it bad?
It is very strongly suggestive to me that my big, strapping and previously exceptionally healthy friend has had his immune system wrecked by the poison they’re putting into those vials – and have been injecting into the bodies of millions. There is a great deal of evidence in support of this, too. The “vaccines” – which aren’t – cause the body’s natural immune system to waste away, in the same manner that doses of steroids can cause an otherwise normal man’s natural production of testosterone to collapse.
Whether this was deliberate or merely the result of a catastrophically reckless rush to get these drugs “warp-speeded” into people’s bodies – thanks, Orange Man – is not yet something that can be known for certain. What is known for certain, though, is that these “vaccines” do not “work” – if that word is defined as preventing the recipient from getting or giving the sickness putatively “vaccinated” against. This is incontestable. On that basis alone, these “vaccines” ought to be re-labeled as – at best – a palliative measure; i.e., a drug that makes you feel better/less sick after you get sick.
Like aspirin taken after you get a headache.
But aspirin doesn’t give you a headache. Nor does it give you a worse headache. If aspirin did that, aspirin would have been taken off the market. Well, it would have been – before corporations such as the pharmaceutical cartels got so tick-fattened with money that they were in a position to buy the government that “regulates” them and then use the government to force people to take their “medicine.”
This, for me, is personal – in that I now personally know someone who ought not to be sick at all, who is now quite sick. I suspect there are many others not personally known to me but just as real to those who do know them – and that it is just as alarming to them as it is to me.
I hope I am wrong and that my friend snaps back. I hope that he and the millions of others who were needled into taking these Jabs haven’t had their health ruined by them. I am also thankful I am not Jabbed – and perhaps not coincidentally, am not sick, even a little bit.
A pox on all those responsible for all of this.

California: come for the poo-covered streets, stay for the crippling gas prices.
That's right, while the national average gas price hit $4.76 per gallon this week according to AAA, Californians are now paying a record $6.24 average per gallon after the state saw prices surge past the $6 mark for the first time in history last week.

At one station in coastal Mendocino, prices are just pennies away from $10 - the highest ever in history, according to the Daily Mail.
Breaking it down by city, San Francisco motorists are paying an average of $6.50, while San Jose drivers are paying $6.38, and Oakland drivers are forking over $6.37. LA drivers are only doing slightly better at $6.26 per gallon on average.
This is at least $2 more per gallon in the same cities vs. this time last year.
And based on the 3-2-1 crack spread, which measures the difference in price between a barrel of crude oil and its byproducts, it appears prices at the pump are about to head even higher.

Indeed, the Mail notes that supplies at US refineries remain tight - with Thursday's US weekly inventory report showing that crude stock had fallen by more than the expected 5.1 million barrels, while gasoline inventories have also dropped to dangerous levels.
What's more, Chinese oil demand is back online after recently relaxing COVID restrictions, the Saudis are near peak output, and the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is being drained by the Biden administration at 1mmb/d.

When do we see double digit gas?
"I don't think as many people are going to hit the road," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. "And if they do, I think a good portion are going to be staying close to home," he told CNBC last weekend.
"They're definitely should be a noticeable bump - but my impression is people are not driving as far," he continued, adding "The concern is high prices that are keeping people a little closer."
Diesel prices have also skyrocketed over 80% vs. last year to around $5.58 per gallon, an all-time record.
The rising cost of the fuel - commonly used by truckers for their rigs - has further hampered America's embattled economy, driving up prices of good being transported cross-country by truckers, who are now electing for shorter routes due to the 'unprecedented' increase.
'I can pretty much count on setting on fire $5-$700 a day...minimum,' 22-wheel driver Eric Jammer told NPR Saturday of the rise in diesel costs seen over the past 12 months.
He told the outlet that he typically transports military and construction equipment - gear that often weighs well into the ton. He even once hauled an Apache helicopter.
Jammer says the crisis has forced him not to take routes that are too far away from his home in Houston, Texas, forced to only accept jobs with destinations and pickups within a day or two from his residence. -Daily Mail
For reference, the national average on President Trump's last day in office was $2.41 per gallon.
"If exports persist at this elevated pace and refinery runs - already near the top range for reasonable utilization rates - fall within our expectations, gasoline inventories could continue to draw to levels below 2008 lows and retail gasoline prices could climb to $6/gallon or even higher," JPMorgan warned, adding that total US gasoline inventories could soon fall to levels not seen since the 1950s - a perfect storm.
"There is a real risk the price could reach $6+ a gallon by August," JPM head of commodities research, Natasha Kaneva, told CNN last week.
According to JPM, unless refineries "immediately" halt most exports and shift towards domestic gasoline production, ''US consumers should not expect much in the way of relief in prices at the pump until the end of the year."
On Monday, CNN business correspondent acknowledged that President Biden had exhausted his short-term solutions for high gas prices - including tapping the SPR.
"The pain is widespread," she said on Monday, adding: "The options are looking pretty bleak at this point."

Told you so. The U.S. and NATO have been lying about what is actually taking place on the ground in Ukraine. For those not familiar with my early writings on the actual situation, go back a look at my previous articles written in March– Is Russia on the Ropes in Ukraine? and Update on the Military Situation in Ukraine.
NBC News, not known as a pro-Putin media outlet, published this bombshell this week:
It was an attention-grabbing assertion that made headlines around the world: U.S. officials said they had indications suggesting Russia might be preparing to use chemical agents in Ukraine.
President Joe Biden later said it publicly. But three U.S. officials told NBC News this week there is no evidence Russia has brought any chemical weapons near Ukraine. They said the U.S. released the information to deter Russia from using the banned munitions.
It’s one of a string of examples of the Biden administration’s breaking with recent precedent by deploying declassified intelligence as part of an information war against Russia. The administration has done so even when the intelligence wasn’t rock solid, officials said, to keep Russian President Vladimir Putin off balance. . . .
Just this week, national security adviser Jake Sullivan stood at the White House podium and read out what officials said was more declassified intelligence, asserting that Russia’s pullout from areas around Kyiv wasn’t a retreat but a strategic redeployment that signals a significant assault on eastern and southern Ukraine, one that U.S. officials believe could be a protracted and bloody fight.
NBC makes a desperate try to put lipstick on this pig and call it Marilyn Monroe, i.e. a thing of beauty and brilliance, but the bottomline is stark and simple–the U.S. Government lied to the American people and acheived NOTHING to change the tactical and strategic picture on the ground in the Donbas. This information did nothing to unbalance Putin or his military command. Instead, they grinded the defenders of Mariupol into dust and are reclaiming steadily territory in the Donbas that Ukraine once controlled. I am sure the United States cannot survive many more “successful” intelligence operations like the ones they have backed so far.
Jake Sullivan’s confirmation that Ukraine did not defeat the Russians and force them from Kiev speaks volumes. I would remind you that Andrei Martyanov, Scott Ritter, Doug MacGregor and I analyzed the Russian tank columns positioned north of Kiev as a feint that pinned key Ukrainian forces around Kiev while the Russians carried out a strategic redeployment to the Donbas to work on destroying entrenched Ukrainian troops.
If you think the West has learned its lesson and opted to focus on truth, think again. Germany’s Economy Minister, Robert Habeck, was peddling these whoppers to his own government this week:
Western sanctions in response to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine are still taking a heavy toll on the Russian war machine. . . .The Russian economy is collapsing,” . . . adding that Germany had played its part here by reducing exports to Russia in March by 60%, with an even sharper fall expected in April.
The obvious question for any reporter with the brain power of a cretin would be, “what is the evidence that Russia’s economy is collapsing?” The truth is that all sectors are firing on all cylinders. Just because Germany has decided to commit economic hari kari by declining to purchase cheap Russian oil, does not mean that Russia is bleeding out financially. The Economist reported two weeks ago that Russia is running a record trade surplus.
Yes, Russia is importing fewer Mercedes and BMWs via the open market. First, Russia is not dependent on having western luxury items filling western owned stores. Second, the Russian mafia is more than willing to fill the gap and obtain such goods via the black market. Seems like the West never learns.
Habeck also forgets the first rule of crisis management–when you are in a hole, stoop digging. He made this even more outlandish claim:
Moscow had lost access to parts crucial to its ability to fight the war, . . . such as “security updates for airplanes, with the result that the planes will soon be grounded”.
He apparently did not get the briefing, widely available in the public domain, that Russia builds it own planes, rockets, space ships and tanks. Putin did not outsource critical industry to China or Mexico. Reality will remind the United States and its crazy European allies that Russia is the only superpower with a self-sufficient economy. The economy of Russia is not dependent on having a Russian version of Rodeo Drive filled with overpriced baubles.

This report is is an update on the condition of my friend, the VA nurse who became severely sick recently – after being coerced into taking the Jab that doesn’t prevent people from becoming sick.
The VA is part of the sickness apparat of the federal government and the Thing that heads that apparat – or rather, fronts for it – decreed last fall that everyone who works for it must submit to the Jab else lose their job. My friend was one of those millions who decided that working for the federal apparat was more important than finding other work not conditional upon his agreeing to become a kind of rhesus monkey, to be experimented upon whenever The Science says.
The results of the experiment are becoming well-known, even if not much reported by what is styled the “media.”
It is known, in the first place, that the “monkeys” continue to get the sickness they were assured by the Thing they would be immunized against, with “95 percent” effectiveness. This proved to be on par with those infomercial radio show weight loss programs that promise you’ll shed “up to” 50 pounds in a month by taking their pills. It’s never at least even five pounds.
But at least those diet pills don’t make you gain more weight.
The “vaccines,” on the other hand, not only don’t prevent the individual injected with them from getting sick – or getting others sick – they appear to be getting people sicker. Serially so.
The reporting of what are bureaucratically styled “adverse events” reaches into the tens of thousands and that may be only a fraction of the adverse events actually occurring, given the difficulty of reporting anything to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS), which requires a great deal of effort – much more effort than, say, reporting a problem with a new car suggestive of a design defect to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is. Even so, there are already so many reports to VAERS that if we were talking about cars, that car in question would be at the very least the subject of great scrutiny by the federal “safety” apparat – and reporting by the media, which would portray the car as “unsafe” even if only one in a million of them ran off the road or caught fire.
Well, excepting Teslas and other electric cars.
In terms of “vaccines” there is no precedent for the apparat leaving such a clearly not-safe (and ineffective) drug on the market. Olestra, anyone?
Doubled down in the case of these unsafe and ineffective drugs by the ongoing pushing of them – even into the arms of toddlers now. It is interesting to note in this regard that there is little to be heard from the usually heard ad nauseam “concerned moms” over this – though there are many moms who are very much concerned. But those moms – and dads’ – concerns are not heard much on TeeVee because their concerns don’t align with those of the apparat, media and government as well as corporate.
It is as if Thalidomide were still being given to pregnant women as a palliative for morning sickness – and everyone was expected to just pretend they didn’t see the babies born with deformed arms nine months later.
Worse, actually, because no woman was ever coerced with threat of loss of job to take Thalidomide. But in those days, doctors weren’t minions of the state, their jobs not yet corporatized and consolidated by a nascent McHealth Care system.
My friend the nurse works for it now. It is difficult for him to work as a nurse anywhere else precisely because the McHealth Care system encompasses practically all of what is now styled “health care” even as it delivers sickness – and sends the patient an itemized bill for it.
Which brings us back to the “vaccines” – and the other way they get people sick. More precisely, the way they make people vulnerable to getting sickness – in addition to not preventing it. The evidence that this is so is already highly suggestive in that those who have been “vaccinated” not only continue to get sick (and spread sickness) they appear to be getting sicker, when they get sick – as in the case of my friend.
He got almost hospital sick a little while back. What’s interesting about this is that there is no serious sickness going around right now. It is not flue season and the WuFlu has attenuated to even less of a serious sickness than it was back when it didn’t kill off 99.8 percent of the population. Yet my nurse friend – who is extremely athletic and fit and neither obese nor elderly – became very sick indeed.
What is interesting about that is that he and I both got sick – me from him – around the beginning of this year, when the attenuated variant of the WuFlu, the so-called Omicron variant, was around. He got it first and I got it next, after I was around him at the gym where we both work out. We both got a cold. Neither of us had to stay in bed, much less seek a hospital bed.
If it was the Moronicon, it would stand to reason we both developed natural immunity to this sickness. He got sick, again – this time, seriously. He could not work; he could barely eat. He almost did end up in the hospital.
I got nothing.
Could it be because I have not been “vaccinated”?
It is difficult to say with certainty. But how about probability? In view of the blatantly ongoing evidence that the “vaccinated” continue to get sick – often, seriously so – while those who avoided the “vaccine” continue to not get sick and even when they do become sick, it is rarely seriously?
Could there be a . . . correlation?
In less sick times, this would be looked into – by the apparat – rather than shoved under the rug, by the apparat. But then, it was the apparat that shoved the drugs into millions of people’s arms, my friend among them.
He doesn’t like to think about it or even discuss it, another interesting thing. He was looking for any thing to account for his becoming seriously sick for no apparent reason (other than his having been “vaccinated”). Maybe it was meningitis. Or Rocky Mountain Spotted Tick fever.
Anything – other than the “vaccine” he was coerced into taking. Perhaps because once taken, you cannot take it back. Not just the drugs he allowed them to inject into his body, either.
They took from him – he gave away something – far more valuable than his health. Something he doesn’t want to deal with, understandably so.
Millions of others have had that something taken from them as well – and the cost may prove to be much higher than even the cost of their lost health.

The geopolitical pivot of Russia and China away from the West is the main focus of this year’s meeting, according to a press release, but perhaps more interestingly, the Bilderberg Group will also talk about a potential global financial meltdown, particularly how to ensure a “continuity of government” amid upheavals in the economy.
“Founded in 1954, the Bilderberg Meeting is an annual conference designed to foster dialogue between Europe and North America,” the press release states. “Every year, between 120-140 political leaders and experts from industry, finance, labour, academia and the media are invited to take part in the Meeting.”
“About two thirds of the participants come from Europe and the rest from North America; approximately a quarter from politics and government and the rest from other fields.”
The Bilderberg Group also released a public list of attendees, including Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), and CIA Director William J. Burns.
The global banking and financial industries are also well represented at the meeting, according to the list.
Former Secretary of State Henry Kissenger, who recently courted controversy by suggesting Ukraine should cede territory to end its war with Russia, will also be present.
That said, it’s notable that Ukraine is listed as the very last topic of discussion at the meeting; the overall geopolitical realignment – and its resulting economic repercussions – are given far more importance.
“The Bilderberg Meeting is a forum for informal discussions about major issues,” the press release added. “The meetings are held under the Chatham House Rule, which states that participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s) nor any other participant may be revealed.”

Since mid-May, real-time indicators warned the labor market had hit a brick wall. Piper Sandler predicted last week that up to a million layoffs or more were ahead as the US economy is on the verge of recession.
The latest sign of an impending job market shock is an email seen by Reuters from the world's richest man, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who told executives the electric carmaker needs to cut staff by 10% because he has a "super bad feeling" about where the economy was headed.
The email, titled "pause all hiring worldwide," was sent to executives on Thursday and is the latest sign of mounting macroeconomic headwinds as lower-than-expected US new car sales in May could be a harbinger of a recession.
In an another email Tuesday, Musk told employees:
"Everyone at Tesla is required to spend a minimum of 40 hours in the office per week ... If you don't show up, we will assume you have resigned."
On Wednesday, Musk tweeted: "Recessions serve a vital economic cleansing function."
Tesla, which has EV factories worldwide, including ones in the US, Berlin, and China, employs about 100k staff, so reducing 10% of jobs could equate to 10k people.
Musk's stark warning of impending economic doom and the need for job cuts sent Tesla shares down nearly 4% in premarket, dragging down Nasdaq 100 futures about half a percentage point and other electric carmakers.
"I think it's very prudent by Tesla to reduce the staff ... This market is not rewarding high revenue growth at all costs. You're being rewarded from improvement in return on investor capital and free cash flow generation," Peter Garnry, head of the equity strategy at Saxo Bank A/S, told Bloomberg Television.
Garnry is right. Piper Sandler recently compiled a list and showed the recent company mass layoff announcements are mostly with tech unicorns.

I suspect the Kremlin has concluded that the limited intervention in Ukraine was a mistake. I don’t mean that the Kremlin will fail in its effort to drive all Ukrainian military units out of Donbass. The mistake the Kremlin made was in thinking that the military intervention could be limited.
The US and NATO are now involved in the conflict. Ukraine is being supplied with heavy weapons and with training in their use. Washington has now arranged to send missiles capable of hitting Russian territory. Clearly, there is nothing limited about the conflict.
The dilemma for Russia is that by confining its military operations to the Donbass region in east Ukraine, Western weapons are accumulating in west Ukraine where it is possible to raise an army to replace the one the Russians are destroying in Donbass. Whereas the Kremlin will succeed in liberating Donbass, it will fail in its goal to demilitarize Ukraine and turn Ukraine into a neutral state unless the intervention is expanded to all of Ukraine.
Additionally, the conflict has also expanded by the request of neutral Finland and Sweden to join NATO. The addition of Finland to NATO would greatly expand the presence of NATO on Russia’s borders, which the intervention in Ukraine intended to prevent.
The Kremlin warned that countries that intervene in the conflict would be treated as combatants, but has failed to take any action. The Russian threat is so disregarded that even militarily insignificant Denmark openly sends weapons to Ukraine. The consequence will be more intervention by the US and NATO.
A dangerous situation has been created by the Kremlin’s declaration of red lines that it does not enforce. Delayed and limited Russian responses to Washington’s provocations are the reason for the present conflict, and delayed and limited responses are the reason the present conflict is likely to spin out of control.
It was obvious that the Kremlin needed a quick and total conquest of Ukraine to prevent the expansion of the war by Western intervention and to intimidate non-NATO Europe from abandoning neutrality. Instead, the limited Russian action has given Washington months to widen the conflict and to keep the conflict going after Ukraine’s defeat in Donbass. Western propaganda has even succeeded in convincing the Western populations that Ukraine is winning the war.
The Kremlin, it seems, is unable to comprehend that there is no peaceful or diplomatic solution. It was the Kremlin’s false hope for the delusional Minsk Agreement that gave Washington 8 years in which to train and equip a Ukrainian force to retake the Donbass republics. The entire conflict could have been avoided if the Kremlin had accepted the request of Donbass to be reunited with Russia like Crimea. This strategic error by the Kremlin followed a larger and earlier error when the Kremlin stood aside and permitted Washington’s overthrow of the Ukrainian government and installation of a puppet regime hostile to Russia.
I admire the Kremlin’s restraint and disinclination to resort to violence. The question is whether this behavior encourages Washington to move more aggressively with the Wolfowitz doctrine against countries that are obstacles to Washington’s hegemony.
Russia can again sit on her hands, as she did during the previous 8 years, while Washington raises and trains yet another Ukrainian army, or she can deliver a quick knockout blow to Ukraine, replace the government, and hunt down and terminate all Nazi and CIA elements, or she can call it quits. Otherwise, the chances are high that increasing Western intervention will spin the conflict out of control.
The Kremlin sees this itself and warns of the prospect of nuclear war, but does not take the necessary action to foreclose this prospect.

Stefan Oelrich, head of Bayer’s pharmaceuticals department, admitted at the World Health Summit that the COVID-19 vaccine is gene therapy. He smugly stated that the drug companies knew people would reject the vaccine if they knew it was in fact a gene-altering injectable. They lied to us for profits as the vaccine certainly did not prevent anyone from contracting or transmitting the virus.
“If we had surveyed two years ago if people were willing to take gene or cell therapy and inject it into your body we would have probably had a 95% refusal rate,” Oelrich admits while forgetting many took the “gene therapy” through force.
Twitter has already flagged retweets of this video as “misleading.” The conspiracy theorists who were told they had no place in society were right as Big Pharma and governments worldwide used the public as guinea pigs for the largest gene therapy study in history. We still do not know the long-term health implications but have seen a variety of health issues and lingering side effects in the short-term. Revolutions have occurred over much less.

WEF Launches ‘Metaverse’ Initiative, Predicts Digital Lives Will Become ‘More Meaningful to Us Than Our Physical Lives’

The World Economic Forum and major corporations last month launched its “Defining and Building the Metaverse” initiative, with corporate stakeholders jockeying for a role in defining, developing — and profiting — from the technology.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) and major corporations, following talks at last month’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, launched a new initiative: “Defining and Building the Metaverse.”
As the initiative’s name implies, its stakeholders are still in the process of defining exactly what the term “metaverse” means.
However, according to the WEF, in part, the metaverse involves a moment “at which our digital lives — our online identities, experiences, relationships, and assets — become more meaningful to us than our physical lives.”
One person involved in the talks, Julia Goldin, LEGO’s chief product & marketing officer, expressed optimism about how the metaverse could aid in children’s development:
“To us, the priority is to help create a world in which we can give kids all the benefits of the metaverse — one with immersive experiences, creativity and self-expression at its core — in a way that is also safe, protects their rights and promotes their well-being.”
While the talks focused somewhat on how to definitively define the term “metaverse,” there was also a great deal of focus on who should be involved in — and potentially profit from — its development.
Those involved in the talks positioned themselves to “develop and share actionable strategies for creating and governing” an “interoperable and safe” metaverse.
There also were extensive discussions on providing “guidance on how to create an ethical and inclusive metaverse, engaging organizations across the private and public sectors, including business, civil society, academia and regulators.”
The WEF described the initiative as “bringing together leading voices from the private sector, civil society, academia and policy” to “define the parameters” of the metaverse’s future development.
A May 25 session — “Shaping a Shared Future: Making the Metaverse” — included the following panelists:
- Chris Cox, chief product officer of Facebook’s parent company, Meta.
- Peggy Johnson, CEO of Magic Leap, described by the WEF as “a spatial computing company building the next computing platform.”
- Philip Rosedale, founder of Linden Lab, which developed the “Second Life” virtual world, acquired in April by Meta.
- Andrew R. Sorkin, financial columnist for The New York Times and co-anchor of CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
- Omar Sultan Al Olama, minister of state for artificial intelligence in the United Arab Emirates, appointed in 2017.
Nick Clegg, Meta’s president of global affairs who was formerly deputy prime minister of the U.K., said the “multistakeholder initiative” aims to assume a leading role in establishing and shaping the metaverse.
The WEF said early stakeholders will play a particularly significant role in this process:
“‘Defining and Building the Metaverse’ is the world’s foremost multistakeholder initiative to develop and share actionable strategies for creating and governing the metaverse.
“By providing a space for global leaders in industry, civil society and government, the initiative will share and accelerate insights and solutions that will bring the metaverse to life.
“By joining the initiative, members are playing a vital role in defining and building the metaverse.”
Building a ‘metaverse’ that hasn’t yet been definitively defined
Though as its name implies, part of the initiative’s goal is to define “metaverse,” the WEF did offer this highly broad, general definition:
“ … a future persistent and interconnected virtual environment where social and economic elements mirror reality. Users can interact with it and each other simultaneously across devices and immersive technologies while engaging with digital assets and property.”
This expands on the “simplest” definition of the metaverse provided by the WEF, which described it as “a unified and persistent virtual environment accessed via extended reality (XR) technologies.”
The WEF said the metaverse is most usefully seen “as a lens through which to view ongoing digital transformation,” based on the belief that “virtual worlds, incorporating connected devices, blockchain and other tech will be so commonplace that the metaverse will become an extension of reality itself.”
More specific definitions of the metaverse, however, “can develop in many ways, depending on research, innovation, investment and policy,” the WEF said.
According to the WEF, the metaverse “can be categorized into three schools of thought,” which include:
- The metaverse “as a product or service.”
- The metaverse “as a place where users can connect, interact, and transfer themselves and their belongings across multiple digital locations,” such as “gaming and creator platforms.”
- The metaverse as a moment “at which our digital lives — our online identities, experiences, relationships, and assets — become more meaningful to us than our physical lives” — a definition described by the WEF in its article as “compelling.”
Despite the WEF’s ambiguous definition of the metaverse as a concept, the organization is definite in predicting its impacts and its value for major (and real-world) corporations and businesses:
“This will have significant impacts on society. Just as the internet and smartphones transformed our social and commercial interactions, the metaverse could change the way people and businesses communicate, and operate, in innovative yet unpredictable ways.”
The WEF’s new initiative will focus on two key areas, or “action tracks:” metaverse governance, and the generation of “economic and societal value.” The WEF “will explore themes across regulatory frameworks, technology choices and economic opportunities.”
More specifically, “metaverse governance” refers to a commitment by members of the initiative to recommend “governance frameworks for interoperable, safe and inclusive metaverse ecosystems.”
According to the WEF, “this entails finding harmonization between regulation and innovation in order to develop interoperability while preserving user privacy and safety.”
In turn, “generating economic and societal value” will involve members of the initiative sharing and accelerating “insights and solutions that will bring the metaverse to life.”
The WEF said that “in doing so, they will map new value chains and business models across industries, identifying elements and use cases that provide economic opportunity.”
Industry ‘stakeholders’ eye profit-making potential of ‘metaverse’
The initiative’s “generating economic and societal value” action track belies what may lie at the heart of the WEF’s efforts to set the rules of engagement in the metaverse while it is still in its nascent state.
More than 60 corporate “stakeholders” have signed on to the initiative thus far, including several Big Tech firms, such as Meta, Microsoft, Taiwanese consumer electronics firm HTC, and Sony Interactive, accompanied by Walmart, the LEGO Group, as well as academics and representatives of civil society.
Many of these stakeholders may be enticed by the growth potential of the metaverse market, which Bloomberg predicted will grow to $800 billion by 2024.
Examples of this are already evident. For instance, according to the WEF, the popular Fortnite video game “sells over $3 billion of digital cosmetic items to players each year, making it a larger apparel company by sales than several global fashion houses.”
Given the market potential, it’s not surprising executives from several Big Tech companies, and from the WEF itself, warmly praised the WEF’s new initiative.
For instance, Jeremy Jurgens, the WEF’s managing director, stated:
“‘The Defining and Building the Metaverse’ initiative provides the industry with an essential toolkit for ethically and responsibly building the metaverse.
“This will help ensure that we can fully harness this vital medium for social and economic interconnectivity in an inclusive, ethical and transformative manner.”
Meta’s Clegg added:
“The metaverse is at an early stage in its development. Done well, the metaverse could be a positive force for inclusion and equity, bridging some of the divides that exist in today’s physical and digital spaces.
“That’s why the ‘Defining and Building the Metaverse’ initiative will be so valuable. It mustn’t be shaped by tech companies on their own. It needs to be developed openly with a spirit of cooperation between the private sector, lawmakers, civil society, academia and the people who will use these technologies.
“This effort must be undertaken in the best interests of people and society, not technology companies.”
Brad Smith, president and vice chair of Microsoft, remarked:
“While the metaverse is in its nascent stage, we believe it has the potential to deliver enhanced connections for everyone.
“As an industry it is incumbent upon all of us to ensure this new paradigm is developed in a way that is accessible for everyone, puts the needs of people first, enhances human connection and is developed securely with trust built in by design.”
Cher Wang, founder and chairwoman of HTC, described the metaverse as “inevitable,” saying:
“The metaverse is the next inevitable step in the evolution of the internet but will require comprehensive collaboration between all ecosystem stakeholders to make it an open, safe and secure environment.
“As such, this Forum initiative is a robust start to addressing the key technology and policy fundamentals to enable the metaverse to fulfill its boundless potential.”
Similarly, Magic Leap’s Peggy Johnson expressed excitement over the transformations the metaverse could deliver, including in areas such as healthcare:
“At Magic Leap, we are excited about how technologies like augmented reality will transform the way we live and work, especially in growing fields like healthcare, manufacturing and the public sector.
“To realize the potential of these technologies, a thoughtful framework for regulation that protects users and facilitates future innovation is required, supported by all stakeholders, including businesses, consumers, government, NGOs and academia.”
Yat Sui, co-founder and chairman of Animoca Brands, a Hong Kong-based game software company, described the metaverse’s potential in the realm of “digital ownership”:
“Animoca Brands is pleased to be a part of the inaugural metaverse initiative launched by the World Economic Forum and we look forward to a dialogue with our industry colleagues as we navigate the potential of true digital ownership in the open metaverse.”
Others, such as Dr. Inhyok Cha, CEO of South Korean IT service management company CJ Olive Networks and group chief digital officer of CJ Corporation, praised the WEF’s new initiative for its potential to help stakeholders overcome “unforeseen complexities:”
“The rapid advancement and adoption of the metaverse will create unforeseen complexities in terms of governance, ethics, social and industrial effects.
“Thus, the need for collective intelligence to anticipate, analyze, design, experiment on and constantly revise governance measures and frameworks will be crucial.”
Who will govern the ‘metaverse’?
Inhyok’s remarks reflect questions also acknowledged by the WEF about who will “govern” the metaverse, and in what manner.
Specifically, the WEF describes metaverse governance as “a multifaceted challenge which needs to consider interoperability, privacy, safety and security.”
According to the WEF, “real-world governance models” represent one possible option for metaverse governance.
However, far from referring to constitutionally defined institutions of governance, with checks and balances, the WEF cites Facebook’s “Oversight Board” as an example of such a “real-world governance model.”
However, according to the WEF, “not all legislators are satisfied” with such models, citing, for instance, new regulations such as the European Union’s Digital Services Act, which will police content moderation and “disinformation” on social media platforms.
Other potential governance models cited by the WEF include user-based systems modeled on blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Tech companies eager to develop the technologies of the future ‘metaverse’
For Big Tech companies, the potential profitability and revenue streams offered by the metaverse go hand in hand with the companies’ ability to develop the technologies that will be used to create the metaverse.
Indeed, the WEF tells us “major technology companies including Apple, Google, Meta Platforms (Facebook), Microsoft, Niantic and Valve are developing the tech that will shape the future of the metaverse.”
The WEF goes on to add that the metaverse will be shaped by three potential technological innovations, including “virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and brain-computer interfaces (BCI).”
While VR and AR may be familiar to many, BCI represents the most ambitious of these three technological tracks — and may belie the true intentions of the WEF and the “stakeholders” of this new initiative.
Specifically, BCI aims “to replace screens and physical hardware entirely.”
The WEF refers to technology such as Neuralink, that “requires neurosurgery to implant devices in the brain,” as an example of BCI.
Alibaba Group President J. Michael Evans during the meeting gushed over “individual carbon footprint trackers” — resembling “personal carbon allowance” technology previously reported on by The Defender.
Similarly, Nokia CEO Pekka Lundmark predicted that by 2030, “smartphones will be implanted directly into the body,” surely facilitating the expansion of the metaverse.

Toxic chemicals a known risk for future health
The World Health Organization states that poisoning is one of the top five causes of death from unintentional injuries in children. Surveys from China show that poisoning is one of the leading causes of death in Chinese children, ranking as high as the 3rd cause of accidental death.
Hundreds of new chemicals are developed and released in the environment every year, untested for their toxic effects on children. Over the past 50 years more than 100.000 synthetic organic chemical compounds have been released. For the vast majority of these chemicals for everyday domestic and commercial use, there is only a limited understanding of how they will behave once released into air, water and soil.
As a result a cocktail of global toxicants such as chlorinated, brominated and fluorinated proteins and Ag, Al, Ars, Hg and Pb is found in human and animal blood samples. Hormone-like synthetic compounds like PFAS and PCB, the so-called endocrine disrupters are taking a heavy toll on humans and wildlife, interfering with organisms’ natural chemical signaling pathways as described in the book Our Stolen Future: Are We Threatening Our Fertility, Intelligence and Survival? by Colborn et al. Certain pesticides appear to interfere with brain development, aging and reproductive function.
Children’s exposures to toxic chemicals in the environment cause or contribute to a group of chronic disabling and sometimes life-threatening conditions like childhood cancer, neurodevelopmental, behavioral and fat metabolism disorders. Diseases that increased substantially in the Western world and cannot be explained by parallel trends in lifestyle, diet and behavioral patterns.
There is growing scientific evidence that even low doses of exposure to toxic substances during fetal and child development can cause lasting permanent effects. Critical windows of vulnerability to exposure are the developing fetus during the third trimester of pregnancy when the brain is developing most rapidly and during the first several years of life when the immune system is programmed.
The past two years, the biological hazard has increased with a mountain of extra waste, nonessential personal protective equipment making up nearly half of the volume of waste. About 1/3 of personal protective equipment cannot be safely bagged or stored because of too few biohazard bags. Worldwide, billions of euros have been spent on faulty masks and other PPE mostly derived from Chinese companies which did not exist before the pandemic. Although WHO released an emergency about the danger of air pollution resulting in a poor immune system, more infectious diseases and more chronic noncommunicable diseases (i.e. heart diseases, diabetes, obesity), a risk benefit assessment for the pandemic measures destroying millions of people’s lives has not been made.
Pregnant women, children and adolescents are more susceptible to intoxications
The US National Academy of Sciences (NAS) has estimated that the toxic exposures in the environment contribute to the causation of 28 percent of neurobehavioral disorders in children.
The NAS report and numerous research have learned that “the time makes the poison” with the corollary that “in early development, timing makes the poison.”
The threshold, the lowest concentration that might produce harmful effects, is different for every chemical and may differ from person to person (sensitivity). The longer the exposure to a chemical the more likely one is to be affected by it. Chemical exposure, which continues over a long period of time, is often particularly hazardous because some chemicals can accumulate in the body or because the damage does not have a chance to be repaired.
The body has several systems, most importantly the liver kidney and lungs that change chemicals in less toxic form and eliminate them. The common points that substances first contact the body are the skin, eyes, nose, throat and lungs. The ability of children to metabolize, detoxify and excrete many toxicants differs from that of adults. They are less able to deal with chemical toxins because they do not have the enzymes necessary to metabolize them and thus are more vulnerable to them.
The developing systems of a child are very delicate and are not able to repair damage that may be caused by environmental toxicants. Even in the absence of clinical visible symptoms, a subclinical toxicity could cause diseases in intelligence and alteration of behavior. The internal organs mostly affected are the liver, kidneys, heart, nervous system (including the brain) and the reproductive system.
There are a few substances that once deposited remain in the body forever like asbestos fibers. Toxic chemicals can cause genetic damage. Most chemicals that cause cancer also cause mutations. For several chemical metals epigenetic modifications are considered a possible mechanism underlying the toxicity and cell-transforming ability. Unfortunately, most chemicals have not been tested at all.
Moreover, interaction between substances that can produce any synergistic or potentiating effect are not known. In 1997 a White House task force on children’s health and safety was established and in 2002 the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children’s Act became law, which required that drugs labeled for use in children undergo scientific studies to specifically examine children’s susceptibilities. Although regulations for a precautionary approach to use toxic chemicals have been set up their ambition have not met their accomplishment.
How Covid measures put children’s future health at risk
Many studies showed that children and adolescents are at a very low risk for developing a severe case of Covid-19. Collective studies show that the immune response of adults and children to mild SARS-CoV-2 infection are similar but diverge after the development of severe disease in ARDS (adults) and MIS-C (children) characterized by a difference in immune response and inflammation.
However, the association of severe Covid-19 in children and adults with preexisting medical conditions underscores the contribution of these comorbidities to disease severity. Several studies demonstrated a relation between gut microbiota composition, levels of cytokines and inflammatory markers, chemokines and blood markers of tissue damage in patients with Covid-19 and the severity of disease. A depletion of gut microbiota with immunomodulatory potential was observed. It can be that the microbial dysbiosis after disease resolution could contribute to persistent symptoms described as Long Covid.
There is no proof that measures during the pandemic for healthy children and adolescents protect against viral infection or transmission,while the possible harm by a combination of toxic substances that could eventually work synergistically or potentiating in possible harm on the effectiveness of the immune system is of increasing concern.
The more we can imagine that children’s exposure to toxic substances like titanium dioxide, graphene oxide, Ag, sodium azide, ethanol, methanol, polypropylene fibers often in combination and for longer periods of time together with a possible change in carbon dioxide concentration can cause an alteration in their gut microbiota and an overuse of their detoxification systems in liver, kidney, lungs and heart.
An alteration of the gut microbiota of the children and adolescents predispose children and adolescents to develop MIS-C and other chronic diseases. Case reports of serious health problems within minutes while wearing a mask have been published. Remarkably experts to the government, politics and courts are still advising pro-measures, even when the science is clear about the ineffectiveness and safety cannot be guaranteed.
Recently, the Belgian Sciensano found the estimated titanium dioxide mass in 24 different single and reusable types of facemasks meant for the general public systemically exceeded the acceptable exposure level by inhalation when masks are worn intensively. Part of this study was published in Nature. However, Sciensano did not retract any of the tested masks from the market or reported to the public in which type of masks the high level of titanium dioxide was found while in the paper it is stated a health risk can not be excluded.
Moreover, uncertainties regarding the genotoxicity of titanium dioxide particles remain. Additionally, Sciensano said It does not exclude titanium dioxide from being present in other types of masks containing synthetic fibers such as medical masks even when they are certified either. Key information on risk assessment for toxicity is missing. In general, scientific data on the presence of (nano) particles in face masks their characteristics, the exposure and the risks for the population is limited, especially for vulnerable populations, elderly, pregnant women and children. The past two years these groups were forced to wear face masks intensively without a decent risk-benefit assessment.
According to the ECHA, titanium dioxide is on the EEA market in nanomaterial form. The substance is approved by the European Union and suspected of causing cancer. On February 2022 the Belgian government published that titanium dioxide E171 will no longer be allowed for food consumption from August 2022 onwards. Sciensano is also working on an Agmask project, though results have not become available for the public yet. The ECHA states that the presence of Ag is very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
In Germany, The Netherlands and Canada millions of masks have been retracted from the market due to the presence of graphene-oxide known in ECHA as a substance causing eye irritation, skin irritation and may cause respiratory irritation. In a review on graphene nanoparticles the underlying toxicity has been revealed, for instance physical destruction, oxidative stress, DNA damage, Inflammatory response, apoptosis, autophagy and necrosis.
The potential hazards for the long term are still unknown. Unfortunately, the uncontrolled frequent use of biocides by producers of face masks and tests stretches the already existing problem of antibiotic resistance ,like MRSA (multi resistant Staphylococcus aureus), even further. In this respect it is important to realize that a bacterial overgrowth with skin problems due to mask wearing is often caused by Staphylococcus aureus. Also, the University of Florida found 11 pathogenic bacteria that can cause diphtheria, pneumonia and meningitis on the outside of masks worn by children.
Crosstalk between poison, gut microbiota, inflammation and vaccine response
The influence of pollutants on the gut microbiota, gut permeability and the immune system, enhancing pulmonary, intestinal and systemic inflammation is undeniable. Conditions that can enhance inflammatory effects with systemic consequences. Pollution can influence epigenetic modifications, oxidative stress and impact processes of methylation of genes both in loss and excess particularly for those involved in inflammatory pathways.
Overall, there seems to be a risk for the development of certain autoimmune diseases as a result of an imbalance of T cell subsets. The underlying mechanisms and long-term consequences are not yet completely clear; thus the effects might be even more serious than expected.
In some cases a synergistic effect can take place between a pathogen and pollutant resulting in an altered immune response. Microbiota act as an immunomodulator and are involved in the response to vaccination. Different types of microbiota inhibited by PFAS are linked to a better immune response to vaccination and longevity.
Exposure to PFAS has been associated with a decrease in the humoral immune responses to tetanus, diphtheria and rubella vaccines in children and adults. On the other hand a cross sectional study in China showed a protective effect of the influenza vaccine on the effects of air pollution. As known for many decades the efficacy of vaccines depends on the integrity of the immune system. Humans are exposed to hazards throughout their lifespan and the effects of these exposures are often not realized until decades later.
In fact, individuals conceived during the Dutch Hunger Winter at the end of World War II were shown 60 years later to have altered DNA methylation at a locus which plays an important role in growth. Recently a genome-wide epidemiology study of BPA exposure and DNA methylation levels in pre-adolescent girls in Egypt showed that methylation profiles exhibit exposure dependent trends.
Developmental BPA exposure may both be associated with higher body weight and increased obesity or with hyperactive lean phenotypes. A possible link of pesticide exposure of farm workers to various and deadly illnesses like Parkinson’s and blood cancers took a decade for a group of French scientists to blow the whistle until it was recognized. Environmental, behavioral, socioeconomic and diet contribute to different risk profiles for later in life diseases. Results may be dependent on vulnerable stages of life that represent critical windows of susceptibility.
Preventing latent disease development for later in life diseases
The signals are clear enough to start questioning and searching for the truth. A recent article in the Daily Mail in the UK stated Long Covid might not actually blame fatigue in children, as symptoms are just as common in youngsters who never had the virus. American children are losing motivation and creativity, teachers say. Problems include depression, underachievement, disconnection and anxiety.
A recent English study showed in schoolchildren a 23 percent loss of early learning, a decrease in concentration and verbal and nonverbal communication. Another article observed a pandemic brain: neuroinflammation in non-infected individuals during the Covid-19 pandemic. An increase in the prevalence of fatigue, brain fog, depression and other sickness behavior like symptoms that implicate a possible dysregulation in neuroimmune mechanisms. Latest research demonstrated the increased risk for myocarditis and pericarditis in adolescents after vaccination. The authors advised a personal risk-benefit assessment before vaccination. A Lancet study reported a rare multisystem inflammatory syndrome in vaccinated young.
Although it is yet unclear what would have been the trigger for the inflammation and the overdrive over the body’s immune system, fatigue, loss of strength and interest, a possible synergistic or potentiating effect of the presence of high concentrations of various toxic substances cannot be excluded. A new stage of thinking is needed and retooling the risk assessment process of Covid measures so that it takes into account the increased vulnerability of pregnant women and children to toxic substances.
Governmental and other organizations who analyzed the presence of toxic substances in face masks, tests, gloves and other PPE urgently need to release their available data and analysis to open the discussion on possible harm of children during pandemic measures. A new article clearly demonstrated that wearing masks at school does not prevent viral transmission. Though poor evidence for masking the public and children has been known for a while. Child abuse by forcing children to wear masks, even from the age of two years, should be stopped immediately to prevent loss of quality of life, loss of well-being and a loss of the ability to work while aging.
Furthermore, groups of children of all ages who have been exposed to extended periods of mask wearing, overuse of hand sanitizers, disinfectant spray and frequent testing need to be analyzed on the presence of toxic substances or metabolites in the body.
We need a program to detoxify and restore the immune system and a healthy life with adequate nutrition. This is what is required to return a stolen future to the young to live a life in freedom, connection, creativity, and motivation in balance with nature.

America, Meet Your New Dictator-in-Chief: The President’s Secret, Unchecked Powers

America, meet your new dictator-in-chief.
As the New York Times reports, “Newly disclosed documents have shed a crack of light on secret executive branch plans for apocalyptic scenarios—like the aftermath of a nuclear attack—when the president may activate wartime powers for national security emergencies.”
The problem, of course, is that we have become a nation in a permanent state of emergency.
Power-hungry and lawless, the government has weaponized one national crisis after another in order to expand its powers and justify all manner of government tyranny in the so-called name of national security.
The seeds of this present madness were sown almost two decades ago when George W. Bush stealthily issued two presidential directives that granted the president the power to unilaterally declare a national emergency, which is loosely defined as “any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the US population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions.”
Comprising the country’s Continuity of Government (COG) plan, these directives (National Security Presidential Directive 51 and Homeland Security Presidential Directive 20) provide a skeletal outline of the actions the president will take in the event of a “national emergency.”
Just what sort of actions the president will take once he declares a national emergency can barely be discerned from the barebones directives. However, one thing is clear: in the event of a national emergency, the COG directives give unchecked executive, legislative and judicial power to the president.
The country would then be subjected to martial law by default, and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights would be suspended.
Essentially, the president would become a dictator for life.
It has happened already.
As we have witnessed in recent years, that national emergency can take any form, can be manipulated for any purpose and can be used to justify any end goal—all on the say so of the president.
The emergency powers that we know about which presidents might claim during such states of emergency are vast, ranging from imposing martial law and suspending habeas corpus to shutting down all forms of communications, including implementing an internet kill switch, and restricting travel.
Yet according to documents recently obtained by the Brennan Center, there may be many more secret powers that presidents may institute in times of so-called crisis without oversight from Congress, the courts, or the public.
It doesn’t even matter what the nature of the crisis might be—civil unrest, the national emergencies, “unforeseen economic collapse, loss of functioning political and legal order, purposeful domestic resistance or insurgency, pervasive public health emergencies, and catastrophic natural and human disasters”—as long as it allows the government to justify all manner of government tyranny in the name of so-called national security.
In such a climate, the American president becomes dictator with permanent powers: imperial, unaccountable and unconstitutional.
Then again, the police state with the president at its helm has been riding roughshod over the rule of law for years now without any pretense of being reined in or restricted in its power grabs by Congress, the courts or the citizenry.
Although the Constitution invests the President with very specific, limited powers, in recent years, American presidents have claimed the power to completely and almost unilaterally alter the landscape of this country for good or for ill.
The powers amassed by each successive president through the negligence of Congress and the courts—powers which add up to a toolbox of terror for an imperial ruler—empower whoever occupies the Oval Office to act as a dictator, above the law and beyond any real accountability.
As law professor William P. Marshall explains, “every extraordinary use of power by one President expands the availability of executive branch power for use by future Presidents.”
All of the imperial powers amassed by Barack Obama and George W. Bush—to kill American citizens without due process, to detain suspects indefinitely, to strip Americans of their citizenship rights, to carry out mass surveillance on Americans without probable cause, to suspend laws during wartime, to disregard laws with which he might disagree, to conduct secret wars and convene secret courts, to sanction torture, to sidestep the legislatures and courts with executive orders and signing statements, to direct the military to operate beyond the reach of the law, to operate a shadow government, and to act as a dictator and a tyrant, above the law and beyond any real accountability—were inherited by Donald Trump and passed along to Joe Biden.
These presidential powers—acquired through the use of executive orders, decrees, memorandums, proclamations, national security directives and legislative signing statements and which can be activated by any sitting president—enable past, president and future presidents to operate above the law and beyond the reach of the Constitution.
This is what you might call a stealthy, creeping, silent, slow-motion coup d’état.
If we continue down this road, there can be no surprise about what awaits us at the end.
Unfortunately, the process of unseating a dictator and limiting the powers of the presidency is far from simple but at a minimum, it must start with “we the people.”
For starters, as I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People and in its fictional counterpart The Erik Blair Diaries, we must recalibrate the balance of power.
Start locally—in your own communities, in your schools, at your city council meetings, in newspaper editorials, at protests—by pushing back against laws that are unjust, police departments that overreach, politicians that don’t listen to their constituents, and a system of government that grows more tyrannical by the day.
What we desperately need is a concerted, collective commitment to the Constitution’s principles of limited government, a system of checks and balances, and a recognition that they—the president, Congress, the courts, the military, the police, the technocrats and plutocrats and bureaucrats—answer to and are accountable to “we the people.”
In other words, we’ve got to start making both the president and the police state play by the rules of the Constitution.
