Soros-Linked Voting Machines Cause Concern Over Rigged Election

A U.K. based company that has provided voting machines for 16 states, including important battleground states like Florida and Arizona, has direct ties with billionaire leftist and Clinton crusader George Soros.

With recent WikiLeaks emails showing that Hillary Clinton received foreign policy directives and coordinated on domestic policy with Soros, along with receiving tens of millions of dollars in presidential campaign support from the billionaire, concerns are growing that these shadowy players may pull the strings behind the curtains of the upcoming presidential election.

As Lifezette reports, the fact that the man in control of voting machines in 16 states is tied directly to the man who has given millions of dollars to the Clinton campaign and various progressive and globalist causes will surely leave a bad taste in the mouth of many a voter.

The balloting equipment tied to Soros is coming from the U.K. based Smartmatic company, whose chairman Mark Malloch-Brown is a former UN official and sits on the board of Soros’ Open Society Foundation.

According to Lifezette, Malloch-Brown was part of the Soros Advisory Committee on Bosnia and also is a member of the executive committee of the International Crisis Group, an organization he co-founded in the 1990s and built with funds from George Soros’ personal fortune.

 

In 2007 Soros appointed Malloch-Brown vice-president of his Quantum Funds, vice-chairman of Soros Fund Management, and vice-chairman of the Open Society Institute (former name of OSF).

Browns ties also intertwine with the Clintons as he was a partner with Sawyer-Miller, the consulting firm where close Clinton associate Mandy Grunwald worked. Brown also was also a senior advisor to FTI Consulting, a firm at which Jackson Dunn, who spent 15 years working as an aide to the Clintons, is a senior managing director.

t When taking that into account, along with the poor track record Smartmatic has of providing free and fair elections, this all becomes quite terrifying.

An astonishing 2006 classified U.S. diplomatic cable obtained and released by WikiLeaks reveals the extent to which Smartmatic may have played a hand in rigging the 2004 Venezuelan recall election under a section titled “A Shadow of Fraud.” The memo stated that “Smartmatic Corporation is a riddle both in ownership and operation, complicated by the fact that its machines have overseen several landslide (and contested) victories by President Hugo Chavez and his supporters.”

 

“The Smartmatic machines used in Venezuela are widely suspected of, though never proven conclusively to be, susceptible to fraud,” the memo continued. “The Venezuelan opposition is convinced that the Smartmatic machines robbed them of victory in the August 2004 referendum. Since then, there have been at least eight statistical analyses performed on the referendum results.”

 

“One study obtained the data log from the CANTV network and supposedly proved that the Smartmatic machines were bi-directional and in fact showed irregularities in how they reported their results to the CNE central server during the referendum,” it read.

With such suspicion and a study which claims to prove that the U.K. firm’s equipment tampered with the 2004 Venezuelan recall election, should be enough for states to reject these machines if they desire a fair election.

Smartmatic is providing machines to Arizona, California, Colorado, Washington DC, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin, which means these Soros and Clinton linked machines are going to take the votes of thousands of Americans.

While GOP nominee Donald Trump has been voicing his opinion that the elections are indeed rigged due to media bias, and the proof that mainstream polls are heavily weighted to favor Clinton, it is needless to say that if the results show Hillary as a winner in November, there is going to a mess to shuffle through to find signs of honesty.

Caterpillar Retail Sales Decline For 46 Consecutive Months; Worst Month For North America Since 2010

While Caterpillar's CEO may have resigned recently, the woes at the heavy industrial manufacturer continue, with yet another month of declining global sales, the company's 46th in a row.

According to the latest monthly release of global retail sales which traditionally presages the company's earnings release due out tomorrow, the company reported that North American sales dipped by 23%, the steepest monthly decline since February 2010, confirming recent speculation that demand for original equipment is simply not there. The rest of the world did not fare much better, with EAME down 17%, Latin America sliding 23% and only Asia posting a rare rebound in sales, up 3%, the best print in the series since October 2012.

But it is on a blended global basis, that the ongoing problems facing CAT emerge where we can see that the company has now not reported a single monthly uptick in sales for 46 consecutive months, a period which is now 2.5x longer than the far more acute 19 month drop observed during the post-financial crisis period.

Chinese Firm Behind Friday's Internet Outage Slams Critics, Threatens Western Accusers With Lawsuits

As we reported earlier today, according to Bloomberg, Internet-connected CCTV cameras made by a Chinese firm, Hangzhou Xiongmai Technology were infected with malware that allowed hackers to takeover "tens of millions" of devices and launch the distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks which brought the internet across much of the US, and especially on the east coast, to a virtual crawl for hours on Friday.

As Bloomberg first reported, and many others confirmed, the company itself admitted its culpability, with the security camera maker saying "its products were used to launch a cyber-attack that severed internet access for millions of users, highlighting the threat posed by the global proliferation of connected devices. The attackers hijacked CCTV cameras made by Hangzhou Xiongmai Technology Co. using malware known as Mirai, the company said in an e-mailed statement. While Xiongmai didn’t say how many of its products had been infiltrated, all cameras made before September 2015 were potentially vulnerable."

However, just a few hours later, the company appears to have changed its tune. 

As IP Video Market reports, "the Chinese video surveillance manufacturer, Xiongmai, whose equipment numerous sources blame for driving massive Internet attacks over the past month has fired back, defending itself against allegations. Moreover, they have involved the Chinese government's Ministry of Justice threatening legal action against those defaming them."

'Allegations'

Various publications have cited Xiongmai's products as being used in these cyber attacks.

Cybersecurity journalist Brian Krebs, one of the first Mirai victims, called out Xiongmai:

These products from XiongMai ... will remain a danger to others unless and until they are completely unplugged from the Internet.

Security research firm Flashpoint linked XiongMai to the Mirai botnets:

a very large percentage of these IP involved in the DDoS attacks were hosting XiongMai Technologies-based products.

ComputerWorld claims that XiongMai has taken direct responsibility:

Hangzhou Xiongmai Technology, a vendor behind DVRs and internet-connected cameras, said on Sunday that security vulnerabilities involving weak default passwords in its products were partly to blame.

Xiongmai Threat

However, XiongMai is now fighting back. Working with the Chinese Ministry of Justice, they are attacking 'false statements' and threatening legal action in a Oct 24 social media posting.

Xiongmai / Ministry of Justice denied responsibility:

XiongMai's products for embedded closed system, the product can not be manipulated by criminals.

Xiongmai / Ministry of Justice blamed users:

The event hackers control products is the use of users do not change the initial password accustomed to the operation

Finally, they threatened legal action against those who 'falsely' claim they are fault:

Organizations or individuals false statements, defame our goodwill behavior ... through legal channels to pursue full legal responsibility for all violations of people, to pursue our legal rights are reserved.

Why XiongMai Is Widely Unknown Even Within the Industry

Xiongmai does not sell nor market under its own brand. Rather, it OEMs / supplies to hundreds of 'manufacturers' / companies who incorporate their components / modules into their own products.

However, Xiongmai is one of the largest suppliers in the global video surveillance market. Sources within the China video surveillance industry indicate that, via their OEMs / customers, they are the 3rd largest video surveillance provider, behind Hikvision and Dahua.

Dahua Involvement

Dahua, the #2 China video surveillance manufacturer, has been at the center of the Mirai botnet attacks as well, and while they have not threatened legal action, they have also been defensive. Brian Kreb's called Dahua duplicituous and our analysis found that Dahua was deceitful in their response.

Hikvision Not Involved

The largest China video surveillance manufacturer, Chinese government owned Hikvision, has not been accused of being involved in the Mirai botnet attacks, which is certainly very good news for them, considering their leading Chinese rivals have been. Of course, Hikvision products suffered major hacking attacks in 2015.

Legal Threat Impact Very Low

We believe Xiongmai has issued this announcement as a PR effort within China, to help counter criticisms they are facing. We do not believe that Xiongmai or the Ministry of Justice is seriously going to sue any Western companies as this is a typical tactic to save face.

Chinese Video Surveillance Market Impact

Over the past 5 years, Chinese video surveillance manufacturer's share of the global video surveillance market has surged. Between the security flaws of products from Xiongmai and Dahua and Hikvision being owned by the Chinese government, this has created extreme concerns about the impact of Chinese video surveillance products.

John Podesta Wasn't 'Hacked,' He Fell For An Email Phishing Scam

John Podesta didn't have his email "hacked," he fell for a phishing scam. Podesta had a Gmail account. Gmail's servers were at no point hacked into or compromised. Podesta's password was not guessed in some sort of brute force attack. He clicked a shady bit.ly link sent to him in an email and then typed his password into a phishing site.

WikiLeaks Releases First Batch Of Barack Obama Emails & They Hint At A Rigged Election

WikiLeaks just released their newest batch of leaked emails, and they contain messages sent to and from Barack Obama prior to his presidential inauguration.

The most interesting of the emails in this batch involves a message from John Podesta to Obama regarding an invitation from President George W. Bush to then ‘President-Elect’. It alluded to a transition plan that was being worked on before the election took place.

According to the memo, Obama was already discussing his transition into office with the then-Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson. Here is a statement taken from a memo sent from the transition board to Barack Obama:

As you have observed in your interactions with Secretary Paulson, he is apparently eager to involve you and your transition team extensively in his policy choices following the election.

Think about this for a second, Obama’s transition was already being discussed with certain members of the Bush administration. Meaning his eventual transition to office may have already been known? This is yet another hint that US election candidates may be elected vs selected.

Another telling email, dated October 30, 2008, came from John Podesta to the then Senator Obama discussing an economic transition team, and why Obama needed to get the wheels in motion before his term begins.

Once again, how could they have known his term would even begin at all before the election took place?

RT news points to the fact that in another email, sent at 7:39 p.m. on election night in 2008 and written by John Podesta reads, “I don’t want to bug you today…The memo pasted below concerns a possible invitation to the G20 meeting on November 15.”

This email was sent approximately half an hour before Obama was officially announced as the next president of the United States.

It can be argued that this was all done while knowing behind the scenes that latest polls showed Obama was likely going to win, but given the amount we have learned over the past few years about how elections are rigged, perhaps this just adds to the evidence that they are just that -rigged.

Election Fraud

The question we have to ask is how much has to surface for the masses to realize that US elections are not what they appear and that votes don’t matter? Even if you don’t believe they’re rigged, the super-delegate  and electoral college process alone completely undermines democracy. Elections in the U.S. seem to be a form of entertainment, a mere distraction, more so than a real process of democracy and election.

The Hillary Clinton email leaks are strong enough for one to see that US politics is a cesspool of corruption.

I am reminded of a great quote from Theodor Rosevelt,

Political parties exist to secure responsible government and to execute the will of the people.

From these great tasks both of the old parties have turned aside. Instead of instruments to promote the general welfare, they have become the tools of corrupt interests which use them impartially to serve their selfish purposes. Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government, owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people.

To destroy this invisible government, to dissolve the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day. (source)
