A key 2000 review that regulators used to say glyphosate was not carcinogenic was retracted in 2025 for being ghostwritten and biased by Monsanto. New independent studies and court rulings question those safety conclusions and show evidence of cancer risk and widespread exposure. The EPA must now reassess glyphosate using independent evidence instead of the discredited paper.
