Exclusive: US Army Brought COVID-19 to China with Fake ‘Military Games’ Team (March 12 story)

VT’s overall poor relationship with the Trump presidency has moved up a notch.  The report Trump is referencing went, not unnoticed, but rather totally censored in the Western press, as has so much else until VT sought out the facts and published them.

Now, for the second time, Trump has made sad and silly denials, this one filled with hyperbole and grandiose behavior, typical of a spectrum sociopath.

March 12, 2020: In October 2019, the US brought 172 (really 369) military athletes to Wuhan for the World Military Games.  Despite having the largest military in the world, tenfold, the US came in 35th behind nations like Iran, Finland and Slovenia. No video or photos exist of the US team, no records were kept, a huge team but a pitiful performance for the best military in the world.

The US team did so badly that they were called “Soy Sauce Soldiers” by the Chinese.  In fact, many never participated in any event and stayed near the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, where the disease is said to have originated only days after the US left the area.

The US team went home on October 28, 2019, and within 2 weeks, the first human contact cases of COVID 19 were seen in Wuhan.  The Chinese have not been able to find “patient zero” and believe he was a member of the US team.

They also have sources that say the US had misrepresented influenza that Trump claims have killed thousands, influenza carried to China by the US team, influenza that was really COVID 19, a disease developed in a military bio-warfare facility in the state of Washington, now “ground zero” in the US for COVID 19.

The Chinese claim, something censored in the US, that the inattentive attitude and disproportionately below average results of American athletes in the game indicates they might have been in for other purposes and they might actually be bio-warfare operatives, and that their place of residence during their stay in Wuhan was also close to the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, where the first known cluster of cases occurred.[28][29]

RT/Moscow: The US army might have brought the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) to China’s Wuhan, the city where the virus was first detected in the country, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zhao Lijian said on Thursday.

“When did patient zero begin in the US?  How many people are infected?  What are the names of the hospitals? It might be the US army that brought the epidemic to Wuhan. Be transparent! Make public your data! The US owes us an explanation!” Zhao tweeted.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lijian Zhao has demanded US authorities reveal what they’re hiding about the origins of Covid-19, going as far as to suggest the coronavirus may have been brought to China by the US military.

Pointing to a video of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director Robert Redfield apparently admitting the US had several deaths from Covid-19 before they were able to test for it, Zhao called on the American watchdog to come clean in a tweet posted on Thursday

“It might be US army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan,” Zhao suggested, calling for the CDC – and the US in general – to “be transparent” and share what they know about where and when “Patient Zero” was first diagnosed.

In the video, Redfield acknowledged that some cases of coronavirus were misclassified as influenza as the medics did not have an accurate test for the new epidemic at the time. In the absence of any patients’ details or chronology of deaths, speculation has swirled. Zhao’s “theory” in particular focused on the military delegation that traveled to Wuhan in October for the Military World Games, weeks before the city confirmed the outbreak in December. Zhao is not the only high-profile political figure to voice suspicions about the timing of the Games and the introduction of the coronavirus in Wuhan. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that what is now the Covid-19 pandemic was first reported as a coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China, on 31 December 2019. The search for the deadly disease’s origin has been ongoing, with conflicting versions blaming the Wuhan food market and bats – a local delicacy – sold there in particular, while others opined humans might have gotten the virus from pangolins, an endangered scaly mammal.

Less orthodox theories suggest malicious intent, with the head of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards sensationally claiming last week that Covid-19 could possibly be “a product of a biological attack by America which initially spread to China and then to Iran and the rest of the world.”

So far, the problem with all of those theories, blaming both animals and humans, is that no direct causal proof has been established, while the identity of China’s “patient zero” also remains unclear. And it’s not China alone: in Washington state – which seemingly identified and successfully isolated its first infected traveler, with dozens of contacts identified and monitored – the virus somehow began spreading anyway. Even Steve Wozniak, Apple’s co-founder, at one point claimed he and his wife may have been the US’ “patient zero” after developing a bad cough on return from China. It has since emerged his wife’s diagnosis was “a sinus infection,” however.

From October 18 to October 27, 2019, the World Military Games was held in Wuhan, and the United States sent 369 soy sauce soldiers to participate.

Why is it soy sauce soldiers?

Because in the 10-day game, the performance of the American soy sauce soldiers was so disappointing that even Bahrain was unnecessarily disappointed, the gold medal was even missing, and the overall score was left far behind by North Korea, which once gave Mexico a chance. The urge to counterattack the continental United States.

However, the poor performance in the game did not affect the mood of the soy sauce soldiers playing in Wuhan.

They teamed up in groups of two, and played around the streets of Wuhan, leaving many romantic accidents.

It should be pointed out that the location of the US guest house of the Military Games is not far from South China Seafood City.

At the end of the military games, just when people were wondering, how could these gangsters who ca n’t wait to build muscles on their faces suddenly get fired up? Did the American soldiers ’food only be grappled? Or did they forget to eat it during the game? Snickers?

H.L. Mencken: Misfit in 21st-century America

H.L. Mencken, a contrarian polemicist and the consummate critic, who wrote prolifically and prodigiously from 1899 until 1949, may no longer seem relevant, but the fault would not be his.

Mencken was a well-read bon vivant with a taste for Teutonic philosophy and a fidelity to immutable truth. He was also a brilliant satirist and a writer whose facility with the English idiom and grasp of intellectual history are unsurpassed.

How can a phenom like Mencken appeal in our age, The Age of the Idiot?

He can't: He should, but he can't.

Henry Louis Mencken cannot appeal to the bumper crops of humorless, dour "dunderheads" America is now siring. He cannot resonate with those who are afraid to question received opinion, who cannot conjugate a verb correctly, use tenses, prepositions and adjectives grammatically and creatively, or appreciate a clever turn-of-phrase.

How can Mencken, author of "The American Language" (1919), be relevant in an America in which the rules of syntax are passé, pronouns are politicized and neutered, torrential prolixity is in, concision and precision are out, and "editors" excise nothing, preferring to let mangled phrases and lumpen jargon spill onto the page like gravy over a tablecloth.

Not for nothing did one wag say that the history of ideas is the history of words. And since Mencken was, first and foremost, a man of ideas (and hence, words), no discussion of Mencken and his ideas is complete without a reference to English, the language he deployed with such verve and vim.

Thus, when "a few newspaper smarties protested" Mencken's verbal virtuosity, Mencken tartly noted, in his Preface to "A Mencken Chrestomathy" (1949): "Thousands of excellent nouns, verbs and adjectives … are still unfamiliar to such ignoramuses. Let them … leave my vocabulary and me to my own customers, who have all been to school."

Written at a considerable level of abstraction, for a prosaic people that, by Mencken's estimation, "cannot grasp an abstraction," a Mencken essay is certain to furrow the brow of the above-average American reader, writer and editor nowadays. Unlike the tracts disgorged by Conservatism Inc., the least complicated of Mencken's editorial writings would place excessive demands on the unsupple minds of young activists, who are busy striking a selfie on social media or running to CPUKE conferences.

Indeed, ideas are in retreat; and the incremental and steady "closing of the American mind" is on the march. By virtue of the unsettling, bracing originality of his ideas, Mencken is rendered as inaccessible to the American reader as an alien from deep space.

While Mencken's libertarian acolytes and admirers focus on his disdain for the State as the leitmotif of his writings – Mencken's war on the "dishonest, insane, intolerable and tyrannical" U.S. government was, arguably, the least controversial thread in his voluminous oeuvre.

Mencken's grasp of government as a predatory, "regimenting" force that fleeces the citizen without flinching; that could and does "safely strip [the individual] to his hide"; a "gang well-nigh immune to punishment" – these, nowadays, are the most acceptable of Mencken's thoughts.

What would make Mencken an outcast to the turgid minds dominating the current marketplace of ideas is his disdain for the "intellectually underprivileged" American electorate, whom he called the "boobs." As Mencken saw it, Boobus Americanus, so easily and reliably "impressed and enchanted" by the political scoundrels, was largely to blame for why nowhere in the world was government more secure than in the United States. Americans were simply the "most timorous, sniveling, poltroonsish, ignominious mob of serfs and goose-steppers ever gathered under one flag. …"

"A glorious commonwealth of morons," Mencken called America. "The American moron's mind" – this "mob-man's" mentality – is that of a "violent nationalist and patriot," to whom ideas are a menace and who would always opt "to keep his Ford, even at the cost of losing the Bill of Rights."

These are all Mencken's words, not mine.

It was Mencken against America then, to paraphrase the scholar Thomas W. Hazlett. And it would be Mencken against America today.

More so than his anti-statism and strong, spare prose – so different from today's insipid, anemic, meandering commentary – Mencken shattered every conceivable totem and taboo of American life. It is this so-called anti-Americanism that would make Mencken unpalatable and unemployable in our times.

In a word, being a man of ideas is what would render Mencken a misfit among his countrymen. For, as Mencken saw them, Americans were congenitally and "implacably hostile to" the very things that made him tick: "novel ideas and points of view." "Everything American," mocked Mencken, is characterized by "a great distrust of ideas" … and "a harsh fidelity to a few fixed beliefs," most of which Mencken derided.

Let me count the ways.

American exceptionalism? Not on your life – except as the "greatest show on earth … a show which lays chief stress upon … the exquisitely ingenious operations of master rogues … clowns in constant practice."

"American values"? Aren't those fit for export? Should not America be making the world over in its image?

Are you fit to be tied? Mencken's conviction was that the "average American" is a narrow-minded chauvinist, who is wont to conflate "differentness" with "wrongness" and immorality. By extension, America's habitual manner of dealing with "foreign nations, whether friend or foe – is hypocritical, disingenuous, knavish, and dishonorable."

Christianity? Not too long ago, gingerly cleaving to Edward Gibbon's scholarship, this essayist pondered whether Christianity might be considered the Social Justice movement of its day. How subtle was that compared to Mencken's reference to Christianity as a "mob religion" that "paves heaven with gold and precious stones, i.e., with money"!

Nevertheless, in his day, Mencken was seen as merely following his métier as an acidic critic; today, his heretical words on most subjects would have earned Mencken a rebuke from a prissy, Fox-empaneled gaggle of schoolmarms, called upon to expatiate about Mean Man Mencken. On second thought, today, Mencken would have been silenced by "cancel culture."

Mencken's views on "monogamous marriage" and the military broke the American mold as well.

The married man ends up "making machiavellian efforts to avoid kissing the everyday sharer of his meals, books, bath towels, pocketbook, relatives, ambitions, secrets, malaise and business: a proceeding about as romantic as having his boots blackened." Find me a conservative radio mouth or TV anchor who would forgive the Maestro for that uproariously funny quip.

The American military? The "military caste," bemoaned Mencken, in "Minority Report," "did not originate as a party of patriots, but as a party of bandits." More crucially, Mencken mocked the mighty American military's fighting prowess. Who gets away with that today?

From the riffs of outrage coming from the Democrats and their demos over "our democracy" betrayed, infiltrated, even destroyed – you'd never know that a rich vein of thinking in opposition to democracy runs through Western intellectual thought. It's at its best in Mencken's diatribe against the democratic doxology. Mencken was withering about a political dispensation that teaches that "all moral excellence, and with it all pure and unfettered sagacity, resided in the inferior four-fifths of mankind."

Of course, Mencken was not merely politically impolite or incorrect. Rather, he pulverized every politically protected group conceivable: soldiers, sainted farmers and their subsidies, Jewish money-lenders, blacks and Anglo-Saxons. Mencken would have infuriated with this verdict about the Anglo-Saxon: He is "the least civilized of white men and the least capable of true civilization." His blood is "running thin," and "he fears ideas almost more cravenly than he fears men."

Rest assured, too, that for his use of racial epithets, the country's professional racism-spotters would proceed against Mencken with all their sinecured mediocrity. This, even though, by the Baltimore Sun's telling, Mencken did "more to help black writers – including the likes of W.E.B. Du Bois, Langston Hughes, and James Weldon Johnson – get into mainstream print than any other white magazine editor of his day."

Yes, Mencken helped all talent. Why so? For one, he was secure in his own talent unmatched. For another, Mencken toiled at a time when merit still mattered. Today, however, true talent is expunged – treated as a mortal threat to the gatekeepers and overlords of our slum-dog culture. Only in America, ventured Mencken, are such "third-rate men" in full control of the state and the "Kulture." More so than in Mencken's day, the mission of these "third-rate men," today, is to preserve the status quo by warding off "the menace of ideas."

In "Human Accomplishment," Charles Murray evaluates and assesses the events and the individuals, from 800 B.C. to 1950, to have inspired humanity and dragged it out of wattle-and-daub hovels. His verdict about cultural products in the "post-1950 West": Hardly any of "the literature, music, and visual arts of the last half century has enough substance to satisfy, over time."

Murray's methodologically sound findings jibe with the case made here. It is that Mencken – whose career as an American man-of-letters was meteoric, and who made a good living regaling and enraging every segment of American society, would have perished in penury had he peddled his craft in the culturally more barren half of the 20th century.

Not prone to hyper-partisan hysteria, this writer sees Mencken as the keenest and cleverest observer of American culture. Whereas Mencken marshaled exciting, irreverent and powerful thoughts and arguments; current commentary, by-and-large, serves up self-righteous, "pious piffle," to quote Mencken on the cultural foot-and-mouth of his time. Right and left, these "dull fellows" would rise on their hind legs in protest of Mencken's systematic, analytical and entertaining evisceration of the alpha-and-omega of American life.

Were Mencken to submit a tract to most of the popular magazines or websites, conservative or liberal, he'd have been reprimanded by a millennial or Generation-Z "editor" for being mean-spirited. He would have been told, "Thanks, but no thanks, Henry. We'll pass."

And "Henry" would have replied to editorial detractors as he did back in the day: Your newspaper, young pipsqueak, is "trifling, ill-informed, petty and unfair. It is full of transparent absurdities. Its editorials are ignorant and without sense. It is written in English full of clichés and vulgarities – English that would disgrace a manager of prize-fighters or a county superintendent of schools."

Amen.

Huge COVID case-counting deception at the CDC

For this piece, we have to enter the official world (of the insane)—where everyone is quite sure a new coronavirus was discovered in China and the worthless diagnostic tests mean something and the case numbers are real and meaningful. Once we execute all those absurd maneuvers, we land square in the middle of yet another scandal—this time at our favorite US agency for scandals, the CDC.

The Atlantic, May 21, has the story, headlined, “How could the CDC make that mistake?”

I’ll give you the key quotes, and then comment on the stark inference The Atlantic somehow failed to grasp.

“We’ve learned that the CDC is making, at best, a debilitating mistake: combining test results that diagnose current coronavirus infections with test results that measure whether someone has ever had the virus…The agency confirmed to The Atlantic on Wednesday that it is mixing the results of viral [PCR] and antibody tests, even though the two tests reveal different information and are used for different reasons.”

“Several states—including Pennsylvania, the site of one of the country’s largest outbreaks, as well as Texas, Georgia, and Vermont—are blending the data in the same way. Virginia likewise mixed viral and antibody test results until last week, but it reversed course and the governor apologized for the practice after it was covered by the Richmond Times-Dispatch and The Atlantic. Maine similarly separated its data on Wednesday; Vermont authorities claimed they didn’t even know they were doing this.”

“’You’ve got to be kidding me,’ Ashish Jha, the K. T. Li Professor of Global Health at Harvard and the director of the Harvard Global Health Institute, told us when we described what the CDC was doing. ‘How could the CDC make that mistake? This is a mess’.”

“The CDC stopped publishing anything resembling a complete database of daily [COVID] test results on February 29. When it resumed publishing test data last week [the middle of May]…”

First of all, the CDC’s basic mission is publishing disease statistics on an ongoing basis. Reporting partial data flies in the face of what they’re supposed to be all about.

But the big deal, of course, is combining results from two different tests—the PCR and the antibody—and placing them in one lump.

I’ve read the Atlantic article forwards, backwards, and sideways, and it appears the experts believe only PCR viral tests should be used to count the number of COVID cases.

So here is a takeaway I find nowhere in the Atlantic article: COMBINING THE TWO TESTS WILL VASTLY INFLATE THE NUMBER OF CASES.

I’m not talking about categories like “rate of infection” or “percentage.” I’m talking about plain numbers of cases.

Some PCR tests will indicate COVID and some antibody tests will indicate COVID, and adding them together will pump up the number of cases. You know, that big number they flash on TV screens a hundred times a day.

“Coronavirus cases jumped up again yesterday, and the grand total in the US is now…”

THAT number.

The number media and government and related con artists deploy to scare the people and justify lockdowns and use to stop reopening the economy.

Therefore, I’m not characterizing what the CDC is doing as a mistake. They’ve managed to create the illusion that absolute case numbers are higher than they should be.

Somehow, these “mistakes” always seem to result in worse news, not better news. The “errors” are always on the high side rather than the low side.

Case in point: the computer prediction of COVID deaths in the UK and US made by that abject failure, Neil Ferguson, whose track record, going back to 2001, has been one horrendous lunatic exaggeration after another. His 2020 projections of 500,000 COVID deaths in the UK and two million in the US were directly used to justify lockdowns in many countries.

The CDC, back in 2009, stopped reporting the number of Swine Flu cases in the US—while still claiming that number was in the tens of thousands. I’ve written in great detail about the scandal, which was exposed by then-CBS investigative reporter, Sharyl Attkisson. The CDC stopped counting cases, because the overwhelming percentage of tissue samples from patients was coming back from labs with no sign of Swine Flu or any other kind of flu. And yet, in a later retrospective “analysis,” the CDC claimed that, at the height of the “epidemic,” there were 22 MILLION cases of Swine Flu in the US.

Going all the way back to 2003 and SARS, the CDC and other public health agencies around the world hyped the dangers to the sky; the final official death count, globally, when the dust cleared? 800.

There is a tradition of lying on the high side, blowing up figures in order to create the illusion of destruction.

CDC? Mistake? The agency is certainly incompetent. But that’s just the beginning of the story.

The only time they say there is no danger is when they’re lying about the effects of vaccines.

My headline for the Atlantic article would read: SO HOW MANY COVID CASES SHOULD WE SUBTRACT TO GET THE ACTUAL NUMBER?

And the first paragraph would go this way: “Just when governors are trying to reopen their economies, a gigantic case-counting deception at the CDC is taking the wind out of their sails. The millions of Americans suffering financial devastation could be pushed back into a hole. Who is screaming to high heaven about THAT on the nightly news? No one. Why not?”

We have been discussing the growing fear of professors and students over the loss of free speech on campuses for years, but recently those concerns have been greatly magnified with the investigation or termination of professors for expressing opposing views about police abuse, Black Lives Matter movement or aspects of the protests following the killing of George Floyd.  There is a sense of a new orthodoxy that does not allow for dissenting voices as campaigns are launched to fire faculty who are denounced as insensitive or even racist for such criticism.  The most recent controversy involves the recently installed University of Massachusetts-Lowell Dean of Nursing Leslie Neal-Boylan. Dr. Neal-Boylan had only been in her position for a few months when she was fired. 

The reason, according to many reports, is that she sent an email on June 2 to the Solomont School of Nursing on the recent anti-racism demonstrations across the country that include the words “everyone’s life matters.”

As a blog dedicated to free speech, it has been difficult to keep up with the rising number of cases of the curtailment of speech or academic freedom on our campuses.  What is equally alarming is the relative silence of most faculty members as individual professors are publicly denounced by their universities, forced into retirement, or outright terminated for expressing dissenting views.  This case however raises an equally serious concern over the loss of due process for academics who find themselves the focus of a campaign for removal — or simply summary dismissal.

Dr. Neal-Boylan was heralded last September as a “visionary leader” by the university in taking over the deanship.  Her writings include strong advocacy for those with disabilities in the nursing field. Those writings show tremendous empathy and concern for inclusivity in the profession.

This controversy began when Dr. Neal-Boylan wrote the email which started with the following words:

“Dear SSON Community,” the email provided to Campus Reform begins.

“I am writing to express my concern and condemnation of the recent (and past) acts of violence against people of color. Recent events recall a tragic history of racism and bias that continue to thrive in this country. I despair for our future as a nation if we do not stand up against violence against anyone. BLACK LIVES MATTER, but also, EVERYONE’S LIFE MATTERS. No one should have to live in fear that they will be targeted for how they look or what they believe.”

One can understand that many felt that the statement detracted from the need to focus on the treatment and loss of black lives. However, one can also read these words as a nursing dean expressing opposition to all violence. 

However, the email was immediately denounced in a tweet as “uncalled for” and “upsetting”  by “Haley.”  The university quickly responded to Haley and said

“Haley – Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The university hears you and we believe black lives matter. See the letter the chancellor sent out Monday.” 

The letter isa statement in support of Black Lives Matter.  Soon thereafter the University reportedly fired Dr. Neal-Boylan.

University spokesperson Christine Gillette issued a statement to the site Campus Reform Wednesday that stated 

“The university ended the employment of Dr. Neal-Boylan on June 19 after 10 months in her role as dean of the Solomont School of Nursing. As with all such decisions, it was made in the best interest of the university and its students.”

What is particularly concerning is a June 19 letter referenced on the site that was allegedly written by Neal-Boylan and sent to Provost Julie Nash. The letter states

“It is important to point out that no one ever gave me an opportunity to share my views of how the college and school were interacting nor explain myself regarding the BLM email. My meeting with you, [Dean] Shortie [McKinney], and Lauren Turner was clearly not intended to give me an opportunity to defend my actions. I was condemned without trial.”

The statement from the university does not state what specifically is “in the best interest of the university and its students.”  However, the failure to specifically state the grounds and the process used to reach the decision is alarming.  The University let the public record stand — and the view that Dr. Neal-Boylan was fired for expressing the view that “Black Lives Matter, but also Everyone’s Life Matters.”

What is “in the best interest of the university and its students” should include free speech and due process.  The mere fact that we do not know if Dr. Neal-Boylan was afforded either right is chilling.  If there were other grounds against her, the university should state so.  Instead, the clear message to faculty is that the dean was fired for expressing concerns over the loss of lives across the country in these protests.

I can understand the sensitivity to those who feel that the inclusion of other lives tends to take away the focus on the need for action on the treatment of African-Americans in our society.  However, it is possible that, as a leading health care figure, Dr. Neal-Boylan was speaking out to seek to end all violence in the protection of human life.  Medical and health care professionals tend to oppose all loss of life and violence.  The question is whether an academic should be able to express such a view and, equally importantly, whether there is a process through which a professor can defend herself in explaining the motivation and intended meaning of her words.

The uncertainty over the process used in this case creates an obvious chilling effect for other faculty members. In 30 years of teaching, I have never seen the level of fear among faculty over speaking or writing about current events, particularly if they do not agree with aspects of the protests.  Not only is there a sense of forced silence but universities have been conspicuously silent in the face of the destruction of their own public art and statues. Even New York Times editors can be forced out for simply publishing opposing views.

As we have previously discussed, chilling effects on free speech has long been a focus of the Supreme Court.  Free speech demands bright line rules to flourish. The different treatment afforded faculty creates an obviously chilling effect on free speech.  Avoiding the chilling effect of potential punishment for speech is a core concern running through Supreme Court cases.  For example, in 1964, the Supreme Court struck down the law screening incoming mail. A unanimous court, Justice William Douglas rejected the law as “a limitation on the unfettered exercise of the addressee’s First Amendment rights.” It noted that such review “is almost certain to have a deterrent effect” on the free speech rights of Americans, particularly for “those who have sensitive positions:”

Obviously, many of these school are private institutions but freedom of speech and academic freedom have long been the touchstones of the academy. What concerned me most was that I could not find a university statement on a matter that resulted in the canning of one of its deans — just an ominous note that the page of Dr. Neal-Boylan can no longer be found.

Sidney Powell: Inside the Michael Flynn Case and DOJ Reform

Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s attorney, Sidney Powell joins Jan Jekielek of the Epoch Times’ American Thought Leaders to discuss the twists and turns of her client’s Appeal case.

She says perhaps the greatest irony in the story is that she had long held the presiding judge, Emmett Sullivan in high regard for the way he adjudicated the 2008 botched ethics prosecution of former Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, in doggedly requiring that the Government produce the Brady evidence (i.e., exculpatory evidence) and holding four federal prosecutors in civil contempt of court for withholding it.

She says, “What I didn’t expect was for Judge Sullivan to deny every single Brady request document we asked for. Every single one, in a 92-page decision that was just raging. I was flabbergasted.”

We have arrived at a terrifying crossroads in US history, when the finest of public servants, like Judge Sullivan can be blackmailed into destroying his own legacy.

Last Wednesday, the US Court of Appeals granted a writ of mandamus that would compel Sullivan to grant the Government’s motion to dismiss the egregious prosecution of Lt. Gen. Flynn. This was after Sullivan had refused to do so last month and had instead, appointed the very biased John Gleeson, a retired Clinton appointee to rebut both the DOJ and Flynn’s defense and to argue that Flynn should be jailed for perjury as part of his prior non-perjury charge. Never mind that it is not within Sullivan’s power to appoint a Special Prosecutor!

Astonishingly – or perhaps not – Sullivan has yet to grant the motion to dismiss Flynn’s case five days later, which like so much that is happening in these times, is utterly unprecedented, particularly as more and more exculpatory evidence is still being declassified, like the January 30, 2017 memo from the DOJ, completely exonerating Flynn of all things “Russia” – while Flynn was still in the White House!

This was withheld from Flynn because his ongoing prosecution would help gin-up the eventual “Obstruction of Justice” prosecution, aka the Impeachment Hoax of President Trump last Fall. Powell says she will take this case to the Supreme Court and do whatever it takes, as she has no doubts as to the innocence of her client.

She says some of the records she obtained in the process of defending Flynn would be relevant to John Durham’s investigation and indeed, they may have come from it, as their lack of markings could indicate that they came from a grand jury subpoena.

Contrary to what many may have thought, she says Flynn is not under a gag order, “But ‘discretion being the better part of valor’ and he is full of valor.

“He has chosen to try to let the system work its way out. That’s what I’ve been determined to see happen; to make the justice system, itself work and to pound on the Department of Justice to do the right thing and restore its own reputation, by moving to dismiss and acknowledge the wrong conduct of its agents and attorneys.

“That is hugely important to restoring people’s confidence in the rule of law, the FBI and the Justice Department. It’s imperative. It’s absolutely imperative that the Department of Justice be returned to the time when it would self-correct.”

She decries the state of today’s DOJ, compared to that of 20 years ago and the ease with which it will now destroy innocent lives. She believes that AG William Barr is “trying very hard to right the ship…It has to be done, if we’re gonna survive it’s a constitutional republic, built on the rule of law.”

Some recommendations Powell has for reform are, “I’d fire any prosecutor that intentionally violated the Brady Rule. I would make it known, immediately that if you know that you have intentionally violated the rule that requires you to produce exculpatory evidence to any defendant or you have criminalized innocent conduct or you have made up a crime, you’ve got two minutes to give me your resignation – and then otherwise, there should be a sporadic, independent file review.

“I’d like to see a Conviction Integrity Review unit set up, to review some of the more egregious cases by people, independent of the line prosecutors, whose goal is to look for errors. The Inspector General’s not enough for that. He doesn’t have the authority needed to do what would need to be done for full file reviews.

“The same needs to be done with respect to the FBI. The Inspector General is doing that on multiple FISA applications – and finding more and more fraudulent FISA applications.

“Every agent who did that should be fired yesterday. We cannot have government officials trusted with the power of the Sovereign of the United States of America lying to federal judges! It’s just – it just can’t happen! It’s completely unacceptable and there have to be immediate repercussions for that.

“And another thing, is the FBI should be required to record all its interviews. It’s a simple enough matter. They all have multiple recording devices on their persons, at all times and people should be told at the beginning that anything they say can be used against them by the FBI or a court, that it’s a federal felony to lie to an FBI agent and then decide whether they want to cooperate with the FBI or not. And if it’s not recorded it should not be used for any purpose…

“The FBI actually made up the false statements that they then charged General Flynn with. They altered the FBI report of the interview, since it wasn’t recorded – and the Government has admitted, in their Motion to Dismiss, that there are statements in the 302 that were not reflected in the notes of either agent – and they used those statements as the ‘basis’ for the False Statement charges.

“And then, there are things in the notes that I couldn’t make sense out of them until I saw the declassified transcripts of the calls. And then I knew that he had told them things about the call that they had not put in the report. So, it ran both ways. They didn’t put in things he did say that were true and they added things to it, claiming he said them, that he did not say. They made up the false statements.”

Powell’s prescription for agents that do this sort of thing is to “Fire them – yesterday – at a minimum. And frankly, what they’ve done is Obstruction of Justice, for which they should be prosecuted.

“The Department of Justice is going to have to start prosecuting agents and lawyers who lie to the Court and make up crimes against innocent people…

“By the Department of Justice, itself acting on it and the FBI acting on it, that will restore public trust. Hiding it is going to make everything worse. Nothing ever got solved by sweeping it under the rug.”

Stop what you’re doing. I’m about to show you something you already suspect deep inside but can’t explain.

The United States of America is currently in the midst of a war. Not the kind when one country attacks another with missiles or tanks. Not like warplanes dropping bombs on our Pacific Fleet. Not like a hostile neighbor launching a surprise invasion across our borders.

Instead, we face a cruel and merciless enemy who invented a whole new type of war. One that threatens us now more than all the bombs in the world. They are motivated by pure greed and inconceivable cruelty and have been silently reversing all that is good for so long that we became lulled into a state of self-destructive compliance, while they tore us apart and robbed us blind.

When Patriots took back key branches of the US government in 2016, a light was turned on to the vast corruption network that had infiltrated into the highest positions of power across every state. Only then, did ordinary citizens begin to realize how close we had come to the end of it all. But first we must endure one last painful battle that will touch every citizen, no matter who they are.

Right now, the country is being torn apart by the biggest political hoax and coordinated mass media disinformation campaign in living history. You may know it as COVID-19. Let me tell you a story. In 2015, as directed by the Globalist criminal corruption network known as the Deep State, President Barack Obama authorized millions in funding for the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the location now understood to be the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The research carried out here was to provide the agent for a global biological attack on a scale never before seen, one that would be timed for release within an election year, starting the very day unsubstantiated efforts to impeach President Trump fell apart.

With their base of operations in the Democrat establishment, the Deep State shadow corporation embarked on a coordinated irregular warfare insurgency with multiple aims, all under the cover of a global pandemic they, themselves manufactured for this purpose.

Enabled by their owned and controlled corporate media monopoly, they instigated a heavy-handed and unjustifiable nationwide shutdown to reverse Trump’s many economic and unemployment gains, with Democrat-controlled states suffering the harshest restrictions in the country.

Trump’s energetic rallies were halted, hiding from view the surging nationwide passion for his galvanizing message, while Democratic presidential front-runner, Joe Biden was able to avoid interviews and debates, where Left-leaning voters would not be shown his obvious inability to govern – or the emerging Ukrainian bribery scandal that earned his family millions in illicit kickbacks by abusing his office.

The next major advantage of the pandemic for the Deep State was the case made to the public for Mail-in Voting, a highly-insecure practice proven to be rampant with fraud, just as the public saw in one such example, when a former Philadelphia judge pled guilty to stuffing ballot boxes after being paid by what he called a “Democratic political consultant.”

With a rapidly-rising death toll needed to make the case to the public for even harsher control, normal influenza deaths for the year were recorded as COVID-19, artificially inflating the numbers. But this was only the beginning. When this did not yield enough fatalities, the Deep State initiated a murderous plan to defy federal guidelines and move infected patients into nursing homes where the highest-risk age group could be found in large numbers.

The Deep State governors of New York, New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania and Michigan oversaw what can only be described as the genocide of our elderly loved ones, even as the quickly-constructed field hospitals and medically equipped Navy ships stood mostly empty. This horrendous act cost the lives of over 50,000 people but gave the insurgency a death toll that would stoke the public fear needed to push ahead with their goals.

In these dark times, when people had a little else but the comfort of community and their faith, this too was forcibly halted, when simply going to church was banned across the country under the guise of “public safety”. Depression and loneliness became the new epidemic, all designed to create the social conditions needed for what was to come next in their despotic plan to fracture the nation and hold on to power.

Immediately upon reports of a flattening curve and a reduction in new cases, the mysterious murder of George Floyd hit the headlines. What was presented to the public as a routine instance of racially-motivated police brutality turned out to be a strange and coincidental series of events involving two men who once knew each other, working security in a nightclub.

This event provided the justification for the next chapter in their coordinated insurgency against the United States. The goal was to inflame civil unrest along racial lines on an emotional platform of social justice. A divided house cannot stand and the enemy knew this all too well. Black Lives Matter was funded and designed by the corrupt Democrat establishment as a social weapon to draw crowds of well-meaning protesters into harm’s way, using them as human shields while they pushed the savage insurrection on city streets.

This was intensified even further by folding in the violent paramilitary group, Antifa, who were given a free pass by Democrat mayors and governors to loot stores, smash up small businesses and assault innocent bystanders. The public was shown, in explicit detail how Democrat leaders refused to protect local citizens, choosing instead to provide an open road for the anarchists to destabilize civil society, allowing the innocent to be indiscriminately injured and terrorized.

Knowing that lawless chaos would accelerate their aims, they began calling for the elimination of police, while evicting the National Guard, who were made available to protect the public against the worst of the violence. DC Mayor Muriel Bowser even called for the elimination of the White House fence, just days after a close call by rioters who attempted to breach the perimeter.

And on June 22nd, Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff proposed a House bill to amend United States Code Title 18 that would prohibit the use of military force in the event of civil unrest; an obvious attempt to weaken the Commander-in-Chief’s ability to defend the public from the planned insurrection, which was intended to play out over the weeks and months leading up to the election.

The pandemic was also providing cover of a different kind. Taking place behind the scenes at the Justice Department is a far-reaching investigation into the Obama Administration’s weaponization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to spy on Trump and his associates during the transition of power.

With evidence now emerging that Obama officials including Joe Biden and Obama, himself colluded to frame General Michael Flynn, they use social distancing guidelines to halt grand juries and give witnesses the cover of health fears to avoid honoring court-ordered subpoenas.

What you are witnessing is the dying breaths of a hidden enemy responsible for over a century of embedded corruption that has been slowly destroying our republic from the inside. They divided us along racial, gender and political lines. They created reasons for us to go to war they made international trade agreements that brought us no benefit but allowed them to steal our vast wealth, driving us into a state of perpetual economic decay.

They flooded our streets with deadly drugs to manufacture a devastating epidemic of addiction and mass incarceration. And they did it all with impunity, while their completely-controlled mainstream media assets kept us distracted and focused on everything else except our one true enemy.

The 2020 US elections are like none we have ever experienced. COVID-19 is being sold as a “natural event” but we see now it is an attempt by enemies of humanity to hold on to power. After November, they stand to lose it all but they will do everything to keep the crisis alive and the people in fear.

To win, we must remember what made us strong, so that true justice can finally return to what is and always will be the most exceptional republic ever to exist in all of human history.

President Trump's economic COVID-19 response, through massive fiscal and monetary stimuli, was expected to generate a V-shaped recovery ahead of the elections. We noted, all along, there was never a snowball's chance in hell that economic growth would revert to 2019 levels later this year; nevertheless, the labor market would fully recover. 

If readers recall, President Trump has given several press conferences where he declared that the economy is quickly recovering: "We've been talking about the V," the president said. "This is better than a V. This is a rocket ship."

A new report via Yelp, tilted "Local Economic Impact Report," debunks the V-shaped narrative and tells a much different story of slow reopenings and widespread permanent closures, all suggesting the economic devastation continues to crush the economy with no recovery in sight. 

Yelp data shows large swathes of Americans remain in deep recession through mid-June. Since April 19, only 20% of the 175,000 Yelp-registered stores that were closed during lockdowns have reopened. 

"As of June 15, there were nearly 140,000 total business closures on Yelp since March 1. In April, we reported more than 175,000 business closures, indicating that more than 20% of businesses closed in April have reopened.

"Las Vegas, NV, endured the highest number of closures relative to the number of businesses in the city (1,921 total closures), while Los Angeles, CA, had the largest total number of closures (11,774 total closures)."

Yelp makes a shocking claim: "Of all business closures on Yelp since March 1, 41% are permanent closures." 

"Our data shows the largest spikes of permanent closures occurred in March, followed by May and June, indicating that the businesses that were already struggling had to permanently close right away and the businesses that were trying to hold on, but unable to weather the COVID-19 storm, were forced to shutter in recent months." 

Of the businesses that shuttered operations, restaurants and shopping/retail have led with the most permanent closures.  

"Among those with the highest rate of business closures are shopping and retail (27,663 closed businesses), restaurants (23,981 closed businesses), beauty (15,348 closed businesses) and fitness (5,589 closed businesses).

"Retail was by far the hardest hit, experiencing the highest number of total closures, with the average daily rate continuing to increase since March. Of all closures on Yelp since March 1, 20% are for retail businesses and 35% of closed retail businesses are indicated as permanent on Yelp.

"In March, Restaurants had the highest number of business closures, compared to other industries, and have continued to close at high rates. Of the businesses that closed, 17% are restaurants, and 53% of those restaurant closures are indicated as permanent on Yelp. Restaurants run on thin margins and can sometimes take months or even years to break even, resulting in this higher rate of permanent closures."

What this all means is the recovery is losing steam. Consumer spending is set to plunge again this summer as the Paycheck Protection Program and other stimulus has run its course. With no recovery - more business closures/ likely more permanent closures and increased job losses are ahead.

To make matters worse, the virus pandemic is re-emerging, resulting in states like Florida, Texas, and California to reverse reopenings, which will further pressure businesses.
