The CEO of German medical and safety technology manufacturer Drager suggested that those who do not want to get vaccinated against the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) should not be allowed to have publicly funded hospital treatment. Drager CEO Stefan Drager also said these individuals should be “automatically considered” to have forfeited their right to obtain COVID-19 treatment in public hospitals.

Enough already with the swastika comments

ORIGINAL LINK

springtime-for-hitler3.jpg

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's comment to a Jewish MP that, "Conservative Party members can stand with people who wave swastikas" has rightfully drawn sharp criticism and rebuke. Under no circumstances can his comments be justified. Unfortunately, his is but the latest (and worst) misuse of the Nazi image in the current debate over COVID restrictions.

In a heated debate in the House of Commons this past Wednesday, Conservative MP Melissa Lantsman, stated that Trudeau, with his dictatorial crackdowns on the Freedom Convoy "fans the flame of an unjustified national emergency."

In response, he said, "Conservative Party members can stand with people who wave swastikas. They can stand with people who wave the Confederate flag. We will choose to stand with Canadians who deserve to be able to get to their jobs, to be able to get their lives back. These illegal protests need to stop, and they will."

Lantsman, herself Jewish, was referencing Trudeau's highly controversial invoking of the Emergencies Act against the truckers of the convoy and their supporters, an action that even the New York Times described as a "rare step."

His critics, in turn, have called him a "dictator," with Conservative MP Andrew Scheer stating, "We know the PM finds democracy inconvenient and that he admires China's dictatorship. So will the prime minister admit that this is all just a move to crack down on dissent?"

Scheer was referencing a 2013 video of Trudeau answering the question of which country he most admired. He explained that it was China, saying, "There's a level of admiration I actually have for China, because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime."

Now, his critics claim, he was simply acting the part, making unilateral decisions as if the truckers and their supporters were terrorists out to overthrow the nation.

Still, Trudeau's comment to MP Lantsman went even further, calling the protesters "people who wave swastikas." What an absolute outrage, especially to a Jewish woman.

But what was he actually talking about? Which protesters were "waving swastikas" (or, for that matter, waving "the Confederate flag")?

According to the left-leaning fact-checking website Snopes.com, "We found that a small number of swastikas and Confederate battle flags were indeed displayed by a few 'Freedom Convoy' protesters."

That was it: "a small number of swastikas and Confederate battle flags," and this out of tens of thousands involved in the Freedom Convoy. Talk about a misrepresentation. And who knows, if, in some cases, it wasn't counter-protesters trying to make the real protesters look bad.

But that didn't stop the Foreign Policy website from claiming, "Not unlike the U.S. Capitol riot, the movement has attracted a diverse array of self-described patriots waving Canadian flags alongside Confederate battle flags, swastikas, symbols related to the Quebec sovereignty movement, and QAnon conspiracy banners."

What a misleading and exaggerated picture, whether or not one supports the convoy. A much different picture is painted by Pastor Jim Garlow, as Christian truckers were singing Martin Luther's famous hymn, "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God."

Either way, whether the protesters are righteous, unruly, or a combination of both, we still need to address the presence of even a few swastikas. What was the point these protesters were trying to make?

We'll let Snopes explain: "Most of the swastikas and other symbols appeared to be pictured on signs as a way of mocking and protesting government restrictions."

The first example cited dated to Jan. 29, when "David Cochrane, a senior Parliamentary reporter for CBC News who is based in Ottawa, tweeted this picture that appeared to show a protester comparing COVID-19 vaccine mandates to tactics carried out in Nazi Germany."

So, the protesters were not celebrating the Nazis or identifying with the Nazis. It was the exact opposite. They were saying to their government, "You're acting just like the Nazis with your COVID restrictions."

But that's where the protesters were in error as well (although their error was not nearly as ugly as the prime minister's).

There is simply no comparison between Canada's COVID restrictions, as draconian and overdone as they may be, and the murderous, genocidal, demonic policies of the Nazis.

Canada has not systematically slaughtered (in cold blood) 1.5 million children and babies of one particular group and religion. (The Nazis did this to the Jews.)

Canada has not systematically slaughtered (in cold blood) 3 million out of 3.3 million people living in one province. (The Nazis did this to Polish Jews.)

Canada has not built gas chambers to kill their own citizens or crematoria to burn their bodies.

Enough said.

Yet, in the last two years, the comparison between government COVID restrictions (in many different nations) and Nazi policies has often been made.

Simply stated, it needs to be dropped, since it both minimizes the evil of Hitler and his henchmen and exaggerates the bad policies of some governments today.

As for Prime Minister Trudeau, he owes the Conservative MPs, the Jewish people and the people of Canada, a humble, unequivocal apology.

An apology to John Durham

ORIGINAL LINK

John-Durham-e1628894106351.jpg

I've been debating whether to write this or not. I guess maybe because I'm still so angry over what was done to President Trump by countless Deep State operators going all the way to the top of the Democratic food chain. And worse, because so few people came out to publicly defend him.

Even now, after all the proof has surfaced that President Trump did absolutely none of what he was accused of for so many years, so few are rallying around him or simply apologizing to him. And we wonder why more good people don't get into politics.

Those of us who supported the president knew that he would never have done what the left accused him of – namely the ridiculous Russia collusion nonsense. If nothing else, we know how much Trump loves America and that he would never do anything to undermine it.

We also know with unwavering certainty that the soulless, leftist radicals who aligned against and accused Trump of these "crimes" would sell out their own mothers to further their own power.

It's clear that they will do anything to win and will attempt to destroy anyone who stands in their way. To them, there is no right or wrong. There is only power and control.

The one thing you can always count on regarding the left is, whatever they accuse someone of doing is exactly what they have either already done or fully intend to do. You can make book on it! And whatever they say is the opposite of what they did or intend to do.

I've had my issues with Trump, as many conservatives have. Mostly it's been over his inane tweeting and bluster. But this was relatively easy for me to overlook due to his America-first, common-sense and constitutional policy decisions.

Just give us constitutionally conservative policy, and you can bloviate and tweet to your heart's desire.

Many of us conservatives did take issue with some of his hiring decisions and Supreme Court appointments. He listened to the wrong people – people who did not have his interests in mind, nor the country's.

A couple of those decisions were William Barr as attorney general and John "Bull" Durham as special counsel. I figured, he we go again – just a couple Deep-Staters Trump got conned into hiring.

A couple years ago I even wrote a rather scathing WND column entitled, "Barr & Durham: From supposed bulldogs to Deep State lapdogs."

To say it was less than flattering is an understatement. I'm still convinced that long-time Washington insider Barr is likely who I thought he was, but Durham is a different story. It seems that I and other conservatives were very wrong about him.

Durham is now in the process of linking all the smarmy, treasonous leftists to this heinous setup of President Trump. If everything Durham is uncovering is true, these crimes by the Dems and their media and corporate accomplices are worse than anything our nation has ever endured. Worse than Watergate or Teapot Dome. Infiltrating the computers in the office of the president? Are you kidding? I'm not sure Agatha Christie or Robert B. Parker, or even Arthur Conan Doyle could have dreamed this up.

Looking back, I think I and others got caught up in the emotion of wanting swift justice. Instead of looking at the near impossible situation Durham was thrust into, we all wanted heads to roll – and we wanted it done right then.

But reasonably, we also know the wheels of justice turn slowly, if at all, for elitists. But with some luck and good people, they may still turn. And it's looking like John Durham just might be one of those good people. Against all odds and likely every road block imaginable placed in his path, Durham may just throw a wrench or two into America's most notorious crime syndicate – the Democratic Party.

So thank you, John Durham, for sticking to it when this conservative all but abandoned you.

And as a "lesson-learned" postscript: Let us not get our hopes up that any of these treasonous Democrats will ever see the inside of a prison cell, or will even stand trial. And when nothing happens to them, let us not blame Durham. That's not his job. Unfortunately, the reality is that he will have to hand things off to Washington insiders – Republican and/or Democratic, and likely nothing will happen.

David Stockman on Scientism and the New Road to Serfdom

ORIGINAL LINK

Via International Man

Scientism

It’s long past time for conservative folks to wake up. Today’s great threat to capitalist prosperity, personal liberty and constitutional government as we have known it is not Marxism, socialism or any other variant of traditional left-wing ideology.

The real threat to liberty is more generic. Rather than a specific history-rooted ideology, such as the working class socialism of the early industrial era, the foundational threat has always been the aggrandizement of the state, and the empowerment of the political classes and nomenklatura that thrive upon it, whatever the ideology upon which they justified their will-to-power.

And today the vehicle for that impulse of statist expansion is Scientism — the false claims that economic science, public health science and climate change science, among others, require sweeping increases in state intervention and control.

This proposition is not merely a grand abstraction. The recently passed $7 trillion in stimmies, bailouts and infrastructure boondoggles, the Biden Administration’s claims that we have just nine years until irreversible climate disaster, and the ongoing depredations of the COVID Virus Patrols are real time instances of Scientism at work — unnecessarily and destructively extending the long arm of the state deep into daily economic and social life.

There is no valid science that calls for either the extinction of fossil fuels, or lockdowns to stop the spread of a virus like those that have afflicted mankind since time immemorial, or massive monetary and fiscal stimulus to keep capitalism from plunging into the drink.

These claims amount to invented science based on large theories of how the world works, which are essentially goal-seeked. That is, they first posit the climate, public health and economic models that inherently require heavy-handed state intervention to prevent catastrophic outcomes, and then they array the evidence and projections to validate the predicate.

For example, the natural climate change now underway — as it has been for 4.5 billion years — is essentially benign, not catastrophic. Current warming is nothing new — it’s happened repeatedly from the Medieval Warm Period (900–1300 AD) to the Roman Warming (200 BC to 300 AD) to the Holocene Climate Optimum (7,000–3,000 BC) and on back in countless unnamed cycles reaching deep into the history of the planet.

Contrary to the false claims of the climate howlers —

  • current mildly rising temperatures are in keeping with the historical truth that warmer is better for humanity and most other species, too; and
  • climate cycles are a function of powerful planetary forces, such as the eccentricity of the earth’s orbit, which causes ice ages in 100,000 year intervals, and solar irradiation oscillations, which modulate cosmic rays and cloud formation. These forces have shaped the earth’s climate for eons and long preceded and massively exceed the impact of industrial era CO2 emissions;

Continued planetary equipoise requires no interventions whatsoever by the state to retard the use of prosperity-fostering fossil fuels or to subsidize and accelerate the adoption of high cost renewable energy.

BREAKING: Ottawa Police Threaten Arrests Of Journalists Covering Protests

ORIGINAL LINK

The following article, BREAKING: Ottawa Police Threaten Arrests Of Journalists Covering Protests, was first published on Big League Politics.

Canada’s ‘Freedom convoy’ protests have continued to rage on amid extremist opposition by actors in the government. Moves by Justin Trudeau to criminalize the demonstrators overnight via emergency powers have remained highly controversial; so much so that even the allegedly left-leaning Canadian Civil Liberties Association publicly condemned the Canadian prime minister for the unprecedented move.

Ottawa police have begun to move in and arrest truckers, the vast majority of whom have protested completely peacefully, since that declaration. The next moves by the Canadian police force may end up largely behind closed doors; a recent announcement on the Ottawa Police Twitter page indicated that neither journalists nor media would be allowed to publicly document and record the ensuing arrests.

“All media who are attending the area, please keep a distance and stay out of police operations for your safety,” wrote the Ottawa Police Twitter account. “Anyone found within areas undergoing enforcement may be subject to arrest. There will be a media availability later today at 474 Elgin Street.”

Final Showdown: Canada Police Set To End Freedom Convoy "Unlawful Demonstration"

Days after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act to crack down on protesters nationwide, Canadian police are preparing to clear hundreds of truck drivers from Ottawa, according to Reuters

'Freedom Convoy' demonstrators against the government's medical tyranny have staged a three-week-long siege of Ottawa's downtown district that prompted Trudeau on Monday to invoke the Emergencies Act to crack down on what he has described as an attack on democracy.

On Thursday evening, police began moving in on the downtown district, arresting protesters. We noted two key organizers were arrested, including Tamara Lich and Chris Barber. The two have been described as top leaders in the movement. Authorities are expected to unleash a wave of arrests on Friday.

"We absolutely are committed to end this unlawful demonstration. We have the plan, we have the commitment, we have the resources," interim police chief Steve Bell told reporters on Thursday. To quell future protests at least 100 checkpoints will be erected in the downtown district. Anyone who doesn't have a legitimate reason for entering the area will be barred.

"This weekend will look very different than the past three weekends," Bell added.

Many of the truckers in the Freedom Convoy aren't moving.

"I'm prepared to sit on my ass and watch them hit me with pepper spray," Pat King, one of the leaders of the movement, told AP News.

"There are no tow trucks in Canada that will touch them."

Amid the rising tensions outside Parliament, many demonstrators still refused to budge, and the use of federal emergencies law will give police the tools to end the occupation.

Some Canadians are outraged their government would even enact such powers (not seen in fifty years) on what has been described as 'peaceful protests,' However, the Trudeau administration sees things a little differently, calling truckers "fringe" and treating them as so-called 'terrorists.'

Meanwhile, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association has announced its intention to sue the federal government for invoking the Emergencies Act in response, the CBC reports.

It remains to be seen if today's move to end the capital's siege will go smoothly. Trudeau's use of emergency powers has already prohibited travel, banned protests, conducted widespread arrests, blocked donations, and frozen bank accounts of truckers and their supporters. People are getting angry, and there are even fears of a possible bank run

Media turns from ignoring Durham evidence to pretending to rebut it

ORIGINAL LINK
Hillary Clinton (Video screenshot)

Hillary Clinton (Video screenshot)

Legacy and social media kingpins learned what power they have when they decided, just before the 2020 presidential election, to suppress accurate – and devastatingly bad – stories about the Biden family's lucrative overseas revenue strategies.

Few people heard the information, so they still supported Joe Biden, who was elected. It was only afterward that a Media Research Center poll showed that had those stories been reported more widely, Biden would have lost the election.

But the lesson was learned, and when special counsel John Durham recently submitted a court filing essentially describing how Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election hired cyberspies to look into web traffic involving candidate, then President, Donald Trump, to try to create a storyline that he was somehow linked to Russia, many media outlets developed laryngitis.

It was only days later they recovered, just in time to launch messaging that said the filing really didn't say anything that bad about Clinton.

In fact, it wasn't anything worth looking at, they contended.

"Can you imagine how the media would have responded if the revelation was against a Republican rather than a Democrat?" openly wondered a commentary at Jewish Journal.

It pointed out that Americans' trust in the media to be accurate and fair had plunged 4% in just one year.

With reason.

"Day after day, I looked on the home pages of the Washington Post, CNN and the New York Times to see how they would cover what National Review Online (NRO) called a 'jaw-dropping revelation.' Nothing," the commentary said. "What revelation were they ignoring, or at least downplaying?"

The actual information was that in a court submission, Durham alleged that a tech executive, who was supposed to be helping the government combat cyber threats, used his privileged access to Internet data to excerpt "contacts" between Russia and facilities connected to Donald Trump.

Durham said that information was "distorted" then to suggest Trump had links that actually didn't exist.

A report said, "Alarmingly, some of the Internet traffic mined in early 2017 was generated by the Executive Office of the President — the White House. That is, the tech executive, who has been identified as Rodney Joffe, was monitoring then-President Trump, trying to portray him as Putin’s mole."

The commentary said the media already has answered the question about how it would respond to an allegation about a Republican.

"For three years, the mainstream media breathlessly reported leaks, rumors and unsubstantiated allegations in pursuit of a 'Russiagate' story against a Republican president that went nowhere. They still haven’t apologized for getting it so wrong."

But a claim against Clinton?

"The mainstream media yawns."

Or they claim it's a "GOP propaganda machine in action."

The commentary suggested media outlets have "reached a point where loyalty to an ideological position takes precedence over loyalty to the full, accurate and fair truth."

The Washington Times explained simply that the media had gone from ignoring Durham's evidence to trying to rebut it.

"After ignoring the story that broke Saturday, a few left-tilting news sites bestirred themselves late Monday with articles focused on rebutting or downplaying reports on special counsel John Durham’s revelation that he had evidence of Clinton-linked data-mining aimed at tying President Donald Trump to Russia," the report said.

The report cited the Washington Post's "yawn and a smirk" that said, "Why Trump is once again claiming that he was spied upon in 2016."

And the New York Times? It's "analysis" scolded "right-wing outlets" for their "alarmist" reporting on Durham's facts.

The Los Angeles Times and Associated Press, the report said, had adopted the same strategy used by the White House on the topic: silence.

"Not since the Hunter Biden laptop story of 2020 has there emerged such a striking divide in reportage between the legacy liberal media and right-tilting outlets, where the Durham disclosure has helped lead the news cycle and spurred multiple follow-up stories," the report explained.

"The scant news coverage on the left has become a story in itself. Fox News Research reported Tuesday that none of the other major broadcast and cable news networks have yet mentioned the story on-air in prime time, referring to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC."

Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume said media outlets, when they earlier suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story, "ended up with egg all over their faces." Now comes the same sequence.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., said legacy media outlets were committing an "outrage" with their censorship.

When the stories did start appearing, they were to blast conservatives.

CNN claimed, "The accusation — which Durham couched in vague, technical language in a court filing late Friday — has been seized upon by Trump and his supporters, who claim the former President was subjected to a smear campaign."

NBC News complained the Durham filing didn't show whether those collecting data on Trump read any emails, and MSNBC opinion columnist Hayes Brown said it was a "right-wing attack on Clinton."

One who noted the significance was Jonathan Turley, constitutional expert and network commentator, who pointed out that it's "difficult" for many in the media to understand Durham's work.

That's because it conflicts with the story line those very media outlets have propagated for years.

"While the media has largely buried or downplayed the alarming disclosures by Durham on the origins of the Russian conspiracy claims, Durham keeps adding new details implicating top Democratic figures in what he describes as an ongoing investigation," he wrote. "You can only hold your breath so long and Durham shows no signs that he is done by a long shot."

The New York Times admitted as much, explaining it wasn't covering the filing much because it was too complicated for its readers.

In fact, Fox News reported, "The mainstream media spent years fixated on alleged collusion between Donald Trump and Russia" so they "downplayed or otherwise ignored the court filing from Special Counsel John Durham as part of his investigation into the origins of the sprawling Russia probe."

"The traditional media is more interested in whisper campaigns and rumors than filings from U.S. attorneys," former chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and Fox News contributor Jason Chaffetz told Fox News Digital.

Back when the conspiracy theory against Trump was being pushed, the Media Research Center found networks spent thousands of minutes reporting on the claims. And the New York Times and Washington Post shared a Pulitzer Prize then for "for deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage" of of thet caims.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, scolded the press for failing to cover the Durham evidence.

"The corrupt corporate media is trying to ignore it & hide the truth," he said.

The recent Durham filing stems from the indictment of former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, who's been accused of lying to the FBI.

Andy McCarthy, a senior fellow at the National Review Institute and Fox News contributor, felt strongly about the lack of reporting: "It is just breathtaking to watch the media-Democrat complex, which hyped Robert Mueller’s every move in the bogus Trump-Russia ‘collusion’ caper, suddenly develop laryngitis in the matter of Durham’s probe -- that is, when it is not outright hostile. You would almost be convinced that journalists do not want a close examination of what thin gruel they turned into a three-year scandal, seeking to destroy the Trump administration’s capacity to govern."

Turley added, "Pediatricians call it 'breath-holding spells.' It is when children hold their breath when upset until they experience syncope, or passing out. The media in Washington appears close to a collective faint over the recent filings of Special Counsel John Durham. While the media has largely buried or downplayed the alarming disclosures by Durham on the origins of the Russian conspiracy claims, Durham keeps adding new details implicating top Democratic figures in what he describes as an ongoing investigation. You can only hold your breath so long…"

The New York Mag, however, explained it all away.

It seems, that commentary wrote, the right-wing media "doesn't understand how the press is supposed to work."

The editorial said criticism of the media "had no contact with reality."

Because the media "is going to perform its due diligence and look into Durham's charges rather than echo them in credulous headlines."

This is, after all, apparently how the legacy media was able to hype, for thousands of hours over years of Trump's presidency, the Steele Dossier and other "evidence" of the collusion conspiracy theory that has since been totally debunked.

America's earlier experience with corruption in Washington, the Watergate episode during Richard Nixon's term in office, involved political operatives breaking into a political office to try to discover information.

But it resulted in multiple-year prison sentences for multiple operatives involved, and it brought down President Nixon for hiding details.

The Russiagate was a scheme that apparently was coordinated by leaders of one political party, including those at the highest levels of the federal government at the time, as well as multiple federal agencies, with the intention of bringing down a sitting president.

Suicide is now the Second Leading Cause of Death for Ages 10-35

ORIGINAL LINK

Via Armstrong Economics

People read stories about how a father kills his family and then commits suicide. They will typically dismiss the event, claiming he was just crazy. The real story is something people rarely understand. The pain of staying is far greater than leaving. But they often feel guilty about leaving their family behind. Will they suffer the same pains that drive them to want to leave? This is what results in someone murdering their family and then committing suicide. They feel guilty about leaving their family behind.

These COVID restrictions have resulted in a wave of suicides as people have lost everything. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), suicide came in as the tenth leading cause of death overall in the U.S., claiming the lives of more than 47,500 people. However, for people between the ages of 35 and 44, suicide was the fourth leading cause of death; for those between the ages of 10 to 35, it was second right behind unintentional injury.

I have reported that I was walking the beach and a man asked me how long I was here in Florida. His two teenage sons were surfing at the time. He said he moved here because his boys were becoming suicidal up north from being locked down, no school, and their vision of the future turned very dark. His boys were unable to play sports and their dreams were all lost.

It was becoming commonplace to see people jumping to their death during the Great Depression. When people lose everything, their future comes crashing down. Our politicians have such a callous view of us, the Great Unwashed. They have no problem partying behind closed doors as they destroy the lives of people they see as the scum beneath them.

Hopefully, the truckers will bring down the real leader of the Free World. No, it is not Trudeau or Biden — Klaus Schwab is pulling all the strings.
